We just started deploying vendor software in a containerized environment. We started off with the vendor's recommendation which was rancher but have been doing a proof of concept with OpenShift
Pros
UI
Has some good operators
integrates well with some development stuff
Cons
Fully disconnect install is a little bit of a pain
a lot of bloated operators that I wish I could toggle off because we don't need them
Storage option for local storage provisioner is lacking
Likelihood to Recommend
harder to use it in a disconnected, highly regulated setup as opposed some more barebone options like rke2

We are starting to use OpenShift to containerize our main software application. OpenShift is our preferred solution as Rancher, the solution that our software provider is pushing is open source and support is a concern of ours.
Pros
Supportability
Ease of use
Great Operator support
Cons
Easier implementation in a fully disconnected environement
Ability to block operators
Likelihood to Recommend
It is more suited in an enterprise environment. Its less suited in a smaller environment where cost is more difficult.
