We use OneSource Virtual for their professional services in regard to system issues. We also use them for almost all of our payroll-related functions like garnishments, employment verification, year-end processing, and state and federal taxes.
Pros
Customer Service.
Communication.
Organization
Attention to Detail.
Cons
System UI is a little hard to navigate.
Would like a little more human interaction here and there.
Lots of notifications but not a terrible thing just a lot of emails sometimes.

They just have amazing customer service and are so quick to respond to urgent matters. Never had any issues working with them.
[OneSource Virtual] handles payroll processing. We also use them for production support on a variety of projects that we aren't able to handle in-house.
Pros
Integration configuration and design
Payroll tax processing
Time Tracking/Absence Management enhancements
Cons
Struggling with manpower support in integration area
Strong payroll support from experienced individuals
Likelihood to Recommend
They have been able to help us with numerous production upgrades, implementing new functionality. We did have issues for a short time period where the payroll team assigned lacked experience and was not able to provide the desired support.
they ultimately are our back office for payroll - once we complete payroll in Workday (our HRIS system), we open a ticket for them to settle and remit payments to the employees. They also print and mail our W2s and 1095s (other items they do but we do not use them for that - all Workday related of course)
Pros
somewhat quick response
able to escalate easier than larger firms like ADP
Cons
taxes - was an issue before and we moved to ADP for this
turnover a lot - many people change pods on our account so we never really get to know them + not everyone you deal with and ask questions about payroll is knowledgeable
Likelihood to Recommend
not sure if it's the greatest bang for your buck (since I've never used any other payroll as a service provided outside of them for Workday), but they are the larger players out there.
Centurion Pipeline currently utilizes OneSource Virtual for Payroll, Payroll Taxes, and Cobra Services. We currently do Net Pay Processing with our Payroll. Our taxes are fully processed and maintained by OneSource Virtual as well as Cobra Services. I am responsible for managing beginning to end processes for all three services, which includes all case communication.
Pros
The Payroll department is very helpful. [...] [They] practically held my hand [during ]our very first year dealing with [OneSource Virtual]. Workday was new to me and I was not used to the processes. She really helped me understand the entire process from beginning to end.
Cons
[OneSource Virtual] can definitely improve with Customer Service. The cases and the [number] of e-mails received for just one case can be very overwhelming.
[OneSource Virtual] Tax Services can definitely start calling the customer vs responding via a case. Sometimes as a customer I may have a question that I do not fully understand. Instead of providing short answers and going back and forth via the case, picking up the phone to discuss an element a lot of misunderstandings.
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall [OneSource Virtual] is a fairly good company, however as I stated earlier, picking up the phone when a customer does not fully understand something can help resolve some things much faster. Responding via case is not always the solution.
OneSource Virtual is our payroll processor. We complete payroll every two weeks and they handle the payment to employees as well as all the tax remittances. Additionally, OneSource Virtual handles quarterly and yearly tax filings with cities, states, and federal.
Pros
Bi-weekly payroll processing is always done on time.
Quarterly and Yearly reconciliations and company packets are timely
Customer support is excellent
Cons
I think the tax side of OneSource Virtual could benefit from using POD systems [as] the payroll side does
I think OneSource Virtual may want to take a look at turnover in the tax side
I wish the messages in OneSource Virtual Atmosphere were able to be marked "Read"
Likelihood to Recommend
I think overall OneSource Virtual is a great partner and does excellent work. The reporting, reconciliations, and response rate is outstanding.

Cons
The reporting functionality of the CARES ACT deferrals is a bit confusing

OneSource Virtual is excellent with processing payroll and addressing questions that arise. Their staff is fluent in the interaction of Workday and [its] processing system.

OneSource Virtual is our managed payroll partner. They handle payroll management, payroll taxes, garnishments, and end-of-year reporting. Both HR and corporate accounting depend on OneSource Virtual as an asset to our organization. In 2019, we did Lunch 16 with Workday and selected OneSource Virtual to be our payroll partners. They help us with everything from tax registration on the payroll tax team to settling payrolls and sending off direct deposits. My payroll partner at OneSource Virtual, Jessica T., is AMAZING, an absolute godsend. She is a rock star that was there to hold my hand through our first payroll in Workday and help me understand the process. OneSource Virtual has been very quick to educate and partner with me to learn processes and my parts of each process. I am so, so grateful for the team at OneSource Virtual. They make work fun, accurate, and educational.
Pros
Payroll Processing - we never have late payments.
Education - I can ask a question like, "why did this pull into retro" and I will get a quick and accurate response.
Always improving - OneSource Virtual is always improving processes and the teams are getting better at what they do.
Garnishments - a garnishment team is a well-oiled machine, they know their role and do it well.
Cons
Payroll Tax - we had some issues with the payroll tax team early on, but I am confident that they will continue to improve. The payroll tax team and I had a meeting to discuss my disappointments and to set expectations.
Communication - sometimes, communications with team members in the ticketing system feel aggressive and demanding rather than helpful.
Webinars - I would like more of them!

If you are new to the Workday world, OneSource Virtual is an amazing asset for education and assistance. They have helped us get up and go when it came to running our HRIS and setting a good foundation for growth. I am very appreciative of PSV and the role they play in our organization.
OneSource Virtual is used as a third-party payroll processor, specifically the payroll and treasury department (handles accounting for payroll). We utilize OneSource Virtual for assistance in bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll tax management (set up, filing, and payment) as well as year-end reporting and W-2s. On an as-needed basis, OneSource Virtual assists with AMS support for the configuration of our Workday tenant.
Pros
It provides a quick response to payroll processing cases for settlement, on-demands, and issues.
It provides timely and accurate reporting and payment of all federal, state, and local taxes.
It is available when needed for support through either their ticket system, email, or phone.
Cons
I would like availability outside of their normal business hours. We are based on the east coast in Virginia and our support pod is in Arizona. The time difference sometimes impacts service due to our day starting 2-3 hours before someone is available within our support pod.
Reporting out of OneSource Virtual Atmosphere could be more customizable.

OneSource Virtual has adapted to significant and rapid changes in our organization over the past year and has been flexible in their support as well as provided valuable input that influenced decisions during this time. My current organization started with OneSource in October 2016. I started with my organization in November 2016 with a lapse of one month between the exit of the previous payroll manager and my start. As a combined unit, there was a lot of newnesses. OneSource Virtual assigned us a brand new OneSource Virtual payroll specialist to support our payroll processing. In hindsight, this was not a good combination as she was just learning OneSource Virtual at the same time I was learning both Workday and OneSource Virtual. There were a few errors that resulted due to simply "not knowing the process" used to complete payroll through Workday/OneSource Virtual, while a more seasoned OneSource Virtual payroll specialist would have had more in-depth knowledge to prevent those errors. Because this happened at year-end, OneSource Virtual quickly assigned additional resources to provide extra support to fix the errors and dropped the normal fees that would have been charged for amended returns and W-2C's being needed.
Currently, OneSource Virtual is our payroll partner for our Canadian and USA operations. They were our implementation partners that implemented Workday for Canada and the USA. We have been working with them for the last 3 years. We are currently using them as a support for managed payroll in our USA and the regular support for our Canadian stores.
Pros
They know the Workday system inside and out.
They are accountable for the services they provide and stay true to their deliverables.
They are very responsive in dealing with issues.
Cons
OneSource Virtual's atmosphere sends silly update emails, such as an automated response, to cases that indicate the case has not been updated. With the number of emails I get in a day, this seems silly.
I would also like them to assist with training us on how things are configured. I know that their business is to do it, but assisting us and teaching us how would be helpful.
Likelihood to Recommend
OneSource Virtual is excellent as a payroll partner. They know their system well and thoroughly understand Workday and its inner workings.
OneSource Virtual is the perfect partner for our Payroll/HR/Benefits department utilizing Workday. From the initial implementation to our ongoing administrative services for benefits, tax filing, garnishments, and as needed AMS services, we feel OneSource Virtual is an extension of our team.
Pros
Assist configuration in the tenant for areas we cannot manage internally.
Settle payroll timely and effectively.
Manage tax filing effectively which is a very tedious task.
Assist open enrollment configuration and process.
Cons
Would like to see less emails for the ticketing status.
Would like to see improvement in the reporting in the tax portal. Has had some advancements, but still not extremely helpful source of reconciling details.
Likelihood to Recommend
OneSource Virtual is a great partner to manage the Workday platform for aspects of the payroll process that is more efficient to outsource, rather than manage internally.
