Nutshell - Great tool for small business!

It is used throughout the organization. It follows projects through all stages and allows easy access for all associates to be able to answer customer's questions.

  • If there is a misspelling in any one email address, you can not send a mass email. You must go back and correct each error before it can send.

Return on Investment

  • The system makes sure all steps in the sales/project process are covered. We save money by having everything we need to proceed with projects.
  • All employees have access to information needed to help customers rather it is their project or not. This helps with customer retention.
  • Information remains in one place. It is easy to find if needs arise in the future. We don't need to waste time or money redoing work already done.

Nutshell: one of the best CRMs available

Pros

  • Viewing the Leads list is great. Viewing it as a list, or in a visual format on a Board is very helpful. The filters are also awesome for creating custom views into your Leads and only focusing on specific segments at a time.
  • Nutshell makes it very easy to reach out to contacts on a regular basis. With reminders, scheduling, and email templates, it's truly a piece of cake to make this all happen.
  • Nutshell's mobile app is also very nice. It doesn't allow you to do everything, but walking to work every day, I'm able to see at a single glance what needs to get done, and also to make phone calls and outreach with just a click.

Cons

  • Although Nutshell has a nice duplicate-finding feature, it only does this *after* data has been imported. It could be better at finding, removing, or merging duplicates during import.
  • I wish there was more flexibility in adding our own products to the system. We have some complex subscription products and they don't always fit into the fields that Nutshell allows.

Return on Investment

  • Strong ROI in terms of being able to get going quickly on sales and focus on what matters most.

Nutshell CRM is the best software for keeping all your activities and notes in one place!

Pros

  • Nutshell is great with reminders from calls, emails, meetings, and activities it helps you track all of the necessary every day must-do activities.
  • The best thing about Nutshell CRM is that multiple team members can refer to it whether they are in the office or on the road. Nutshell is great on a PC, Mac, or pretty much any mobile device.
  • One of the many things that I personally like about Nutshell is how user-friendly it is. Once you work with it for a day or two everything is super easy to manage.

Cons

  • In my line of work having multiple email attachments are needed and Nutshell has yet to improve that function.
  • I would say that Nutshell needs more options for activities. Currently, you are very limited in the types of activities you can set reminders for.
  • Unless I missed it someplace, when preventing your next activity it would be nice to be able to scroll over said activity and get a little message box next to it with a preview of that activity. That way I can remember more for that activity and decide quickly if I need to do that activity or push it off for another time.

Return on Investment

  • Nutshell CRM has had a major impact on ROI. The last program we used cost more and had fewer features and accessibility.
  • One negative impact is its email functions. As stated before in this review I need to be able to send large attachments and pics through email and Nutshell is very limited when it comes to that.

Nutshell CRM is our go-to platform to keep our team organized

Pros

  • Customization - we are able to make Nutshell make the most sense for our company and processes
  • Scheduling - the ability to set tasks allows us to never forget a follow-up call or email
  • Tags - allow us to prioritize leads and segment our customers and potential customers
  • Communication - the ability to tag colleagues in notes for callbacks or updates to accounts is very helpful to keep everyone on the same page
  • Email History - being able to blind copy all our email communication to Nutshell, allows us to have email threads and notes all in one place

Cons

  • Special characters - although I know this is very difficult to resolve, we have always had an issue with being able to search or match up companies that have $, &, or @ in their name
  • Integration - we use a couple of different programs as often as Nutshell that doesn't currently integrate with the platform. The main one being our webcam video program BombBomb.com, not a deal-breaker but it would be nice to integrate to go along with our activities and emails
  • Mobile App - we do use the mobile app when we do outside sales trips and it works well for inputting notes with the talk-to-text feature. There are some features that are not available on the mobile app that would be nice though.

Return on Investment

  • Tracking - Nutshell allows us to track how many leads or coming for our prospecting or inactive account calling efforts, it has been great for showing results to our management team
  • Organization - Nutshell gives us the opportunity to easily access account or contact history and make connections with the customers we interact with

Easy to use and customizable

Pros

  • Customizeable Pipelines and Accompanying Activities

Cons

  • SWOT analysis --- currently we put this in as custom fields but they don't link up at all and are hard to read/navigate. We also use the custom fields for other information we want to capture. It would be nice to build those in so they can show the info as bullet points or something --- currently paragraph form and hard to find things at a glance.
  • Funnel could use some work. Only shows how many leads are currently in that part of the pipeline which doesn't give us a good historical comparison.

Return on Investment

  • Nutshell has saved time for our business development team because it is easy to use (unlike our last CRM) so they are much more efficient with it.
  • It has allowed us to better track what is important to our clients and has improved our interview process because we know better what to speak to.
  • The customizable reports help the management team know where we are at for sales.
