Cons

Need some UI improvement

Especially when writing notes and storing large amount of documents, the Notepad++ uses a lot. And can also open multiple new tabs side by side and work easily and it helps during work and saves a lot of time. A major thing is auto-save, when someone is in hurry and closes a tab it saves without saving.
I use Notepad++ daily to save temporary notes while I'm working. I love that all my notes are saved when I close the program. I use Notepad++ as my default text editor. Often, I like to save notes and refer to them later. Notpad++ does this easily and without having to save each note. Each note is saved in its own temporary file or a file name of your choosing.
Pros
organizing notes
ease of use
automatic saving of notes that are not saved in a specific file
Cons
no improvements I can think of
better help showing all of the hot keys available
Likelihood to Recommend
I use it as temporary storage for all sorts of notes that I need to keep track of, as well as editing text files and other types of typically non-readable files.
Taking quick notes or lists where I just need a note with no particular organisation. Especially useful for part numbers or as a quick list of things to investigate/look into/fix.
I also use it as an editor for markup languages like yaml.
Pros
Fast to open
remembers where I left off
just works all the time
Cons
More modern icons
Likelihood to Recommend
Notepad++ is incredibly simple and fast, and is therefore suited to simple and fast tasks. I would not recommend it for writing complex code (use a proper environment) or text where things need to be linked (use Word). It is great for just writing quick lists or taking notes to be written up at the end of a meeting.
The product addresses variety of business needs eg. Text and code editing, software development, code analysis, system configuration file editing, creating json files for integration purpose, text file comparison, data analysis etc
I use it to create json files for integration and share it with mulesoft team and they want request and response in json format
Pros
it can format xml into proper format with indentation with the plugin it has
you can compare text files side by side in notepad ++. This is important if we're doing version compare of old code base with new to find root cause of bugs
Notepad ++ is used to do scripting to automate certain tasks. Example. I use notepad ++ to automate data creation in SAP using inputs from excel file
Cons
While Notepad++ is functional, its user interface might benefit from a more modern and intuitive design
Notepad++ has performance issue when processing huge excel files
Notepad++ doesn't have integrated debugging capabilities
Enhancing the search and replace functionality with more advanced features, such as regular expression testing and batch replacements, would be beneficial for users dealing with complex text manipulation tasks.

We use Notepad++ to take quick notes and write drafts of emails or text that will be entered to complete online forms. We also keep frequently used text in separate perennially open tabs in Notepad++ so that we can easily copy that information and paste it into documents or forms. Doing so improves our efficiency while reducing errors.
Pros
Notepad++ allows us to keep open files in tabs. Like in a web browser, these tabs let us access these files quickly and easily. Furthermore, even if we forget to save the files when closing the program or shutting down the PC, Notepad++ retains them in the open tabs when we reopen it.
Notepad++ supports many different file types. We usually save our files created in Notepad as normal text files, but sometimes as JSON, PHP, and HTML files.
Notepad++ is lightweight and requires little resources. Using it is snappy and responsive.
The developer of Notepad++ frequently updates the software with bug fixes, performance improvements and new features.
Cons
Notepad++ meets all our needs from a text editor. There really isn't anything more or different we could want from this excellent software.
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe Notepad++ will meet the needs of the vast majority of Microsoft Windows users looking for a more robust (and free) text editor than Notepad, which comes bundled with the Windows operating system. Notepad++ is packed with features, frequently updated, and consumes little resources. And incredibly, this software is free of charge.
Notepad++ is a very good script editor suitable for all scripting languages and all kind of codes from simple one liners to complexed heavy codes. It is free for use with no restrictions so it can be used in small and big companies and also single users. The application can detect scripting language and add appropriate language markings and code highlighters witch is very handful for developers not matter on what technology they use for work. Notepad is also very easy to install and deploy in mass delivery. The configuration is also easy and can be applied with no user interaction by the administrator.
Pros
Edit any script
Markings for all scripting languages
Easy to configure
Easy to install
Cons
No terminal to run and test the code

It is perfect in case we have a code to modify or update. First of all Notepad will show us the code in appropriate formatting which will highlight and mark important part of the script like variable or functions. Thank to this feature we can easily read the code and get the information from it but also find some specific parts that are required to be modify at the moment. During edition our code will also be marked so we will see instantly if the formatting is correct and if the code have some syntax errors.
Notepad++ supports programming languages like Java, XML.
Notepad++ is free of cost and anyone can use it.
Code syntax is highlighted with unique colours, which speeds up work and readability.
The disadvantage of using Notepad++ is that it works only on windows and does not support Linux and MAC.
Notepad++ has the same UI appearance from a long time and can be revamped.
Pros
Code syntax highlight
Consistent
Simple
Integrations
Cons
UI can be improved
Support with Linux and MAC
Support for Inbuilt complier
Likelihood to Recommend
Take quick notes during meetings. Students can make use of Notepad++ since it is free of cost. Best option when coding using Java, SQL. Syntax highlighting. Tab view for opening multiple files simultaneously. Autosave feature in Notepad++ removes the depency to manually save files. I do not use Notepad++ when working with files having size greater than 100MB.

I mostly use the Notepad++ for making the notes for myself, creating/editing text files. Every time I need to have a look at some huge text files like i.e. logs, I always chose Notepad++, text is well readable, well formatted. Syntax highlighting is also something which helps in reading different file formats, i.e. YML, xml, json etc.
Pros
syntax highlighting
multiple files opened at once in a tab view
search
Cons
comparison view
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for browsing different types of files i.e. YML, JSON, XML. With all the syntax highlights, it can't be easier to check actual values of different fields. It is easy to check the structure if the file as the whole file is well formatted for the actual file type.
