I use Monster.com portal for Sourcing the candidate profile for my business needs. While other portals are too costly, Monster.com provides us a valuable and cost effective services. I always prefer to use Monster.com for my non-It and IT requirements. It provides me an good number of search results. It will be definitely TAT.

However, the scope of use and effectiveness of Monster have steadily declined in the years since it was acquired by a staffing firm.

Pros

  • Monster makes it easy for us to post jobs on their platform.
  • Working with Monster does an excellent job of providing alerts when applicants submit for open positions.
  • Our applications that we get from Monster applicants are easy for us to segment out for faster sorting and selections.

Cons

  • It would be nice if Monster could autofill resumes from applicants from information they provide once.
  • Applicants complain about having to fill in all of the fields for their applications - even though they have submitted their resumes.
  • As an applicant, it would be nice to have greater transparency and updates for when a submitted application is shared, opened, or reviewed. Otherwise there can be a sense of being "ghosted" after having applied and not hearing back.

Monster.com helps the recruiter and the organization to find qualified candidates according to their business needs. Monster.com has many candidates for every location and different skill sets. Monster.com also provides job posting features and resume filtering, reducing the turnaround time. The scope of my use case is Monster.com job posting and sourcing candidates itself complete the entire cycle of recruitment, which helps me to attract the candidate from the job posting, and if they are not aware of the job posting, we can use the ATS or sourcing tool to reach them if they are fit for the role.
