I use Microsoft Teams for meetings with external partners like web agencies or talent acquisition firms to hire people for my teams. It allows me to exchange with people that are not based in my city and see if we have an opportunity to work together and if we can bring value on the table.
Microsoft Teams is a good choice if Microsoft suites are fully implemented in your firm's software landscape, it allows native document sharing capabilities with SharePoint, Office, Outlook, etc...
If you are using Google Suite, the story is not the same one: the Google Meet feature is the native solution and offers the potential benefits of Microsoft Teams.
Since Covid, we have daily meetings with everyone to discuss business updates and Microsoft Teams allows us to all be in the "same room" without physically being in the same room but still be able to visually see the information needing to be shared amongst everyone.
I just like the format of meetings in Microsoft Teams better than Skype and Webex and similar programs. The direct calling and interfacing is nice as well as functionality with screen sharing.
Microsoft Teams is something that is used daily for me. We are a team with a mix of work from the office and home employees. We use Microsoft Teams as a way to communicate with each other, share information and ideas and just keep in touch.
Microsoft Teams is great for large meetings and even including corporate training. This saves time and money by not having to fly and house participants all over the country and perform the training virtually.
In my opinion, it has a thousand features and integrates with a million apps, but can't do its primary function well. In my experience, unreliable message delivery, unreliable notifications, unreliable hardware support, unreliable AI, plenty of bugs.
To me, its only advantage is that it can support larger calls than Slack. And I suppose it is free if you have Office 365 and don't pay for AI.
In my opinion, for that you will pay for with lower team morale and lower productivity.I have sets of screenshots where for one person one of the messages in the middle of the conversation is simply missing. I've had important questions sent during work hours delivered long after work hours. I've scrolled yesterday's chats to see important review requests that simply were not there yesterday. It only happens when the network is busy - maybe they have better networks in MS and haven't seen it. But it can cause a lot of grief.
We use Microsoft Teams as a form of communication, by that i mean for meetings, announcement, changes and also trainings within the orgaisation. It is also used for coaching and some other emergency live communications. It is also a very powerful tool that we use to improve production within the organisation as it links people within different sites to improve work.
It is very appropripriate when you more variety of workers and you need to announce a thing urgently visually and you can not do one on ones.
We use Microsoft Teams in my organization to instant communication (texting), video and audio calls, and either between 2 or more colleagues.
We also use it for meetings where we can collaborate with colleagues from multiple locations and departments. We also create channels where we can communicate important information with a restricted group of people.
Well suited for working environment where you work with colleagues from different departments, in multiple locations (city or country). Also good for complex environments, especially in big companies with a large amount of workers.
Not well suited when there's a lack of IT knowledge or bad internet access at least in some locations.
Microsoft Teams has been one among all the collaborative tools that had a huge impact after Covid. Business needs have changed drastically with the proximity of this tool and this had helped to organise more and more remote collaborative meetings.
With screen sharing and easy scheduling, meeting peers or customers has been made easy within a few clicks. Especially with the help of the Outlook plugin which helped a lot.
Microsoft tool for corporate is a proximity tool. Within a few clicks, you can organise a meeting and invite participants, either it is organisational or external.
Hybrid meetings can also be integrated in part of the Microsoft collaboration, especially with Microsoft Teams Room either in BYOD mode or having a Microsoft account. This helps meetings to be running through PCs, mobile phones, Microsoft Teams Room and especially if ever you have any firewall restrictions you can join into meeting via IVR (audio bridge) in listening mode.
Microsoft Teams is one of the main communication channels for the organization.
Microsoft Teams has been integrated with other Third-party Applications to enable ease of work. Microsoft Teams is also used for almost all virtual meetings as well as trainings
Microsoft Teams is well rounded application well suited for a lot of things. The calls with Microsoft Teams are clear devoid of breaks. Virtual meetings are also quite clear and no disruptions. Scheduling meeting is also easy. Microsoft Teams also allows for easy integrations to other Applications. its settings are friendly and allows for you to change settings. ( theme display..etc)
