SSO functionality works perfectly and provides seamless experience . It helps us in managing users in our cloud environments and increase productivity. Integeration is very easily and it almost integerates with anything.
Pros
Setup and integration is easy and quick.
Very reliable and secure SSO to work and user management.
It provides the next level of security features like preventing unauthorized access, MFA, and threat intelligence.
Cons
Valuable security features require a paid subscription
Multiple syncing problem reported
UI is less intuitive
Likelihood to Recommend
It is relatively very to setup and it is a single SSO for all kind of Azure logins so very convinient we found it.
Well without Microsoft Entra ID we cannot proceed with our work because we use the Microsoft 365 Services and Microsoft Copilot. So that helps most of the part.
Pros
It's difficult to select one part, for example, we use the Microsoft Teams application, so thanks to that application we can easily communicate even when we work at home. So without going to the company site we can communicate with each other easily.
Cons
Difficult to select cons. But when Microsoft Teams stops our work also stops. That should be a cons.
Likelihood to Recommend
When Covid happened, we need to change our work style and in case we need to work from home, Teams really help us to communicate with each other.

Basically we use it for identity management and authentication. It solves the problem of obviously identifying users. We utilize it to separate different employee departments into groups, which helps us with device management as well. And so the specific scope pretty much is global, allows us to bring in guest users, allows us to administrate users through all the other Microsoft products such as SharePoint, office tools, things of that nature, exchange, Outlook.
Pros
It does identity management and two factor authentication. Well, we haven't had any issues with that.
Cons
Probably the most primary thing is just the interface itself. It's frequently changing and so oftentimes we kind of have to go back and redocument our processes for our IT staff because the steps that they would take to perform a task one month. Now it's a totally different staff, new dashboard, even a new name for the product or the feature. So it would be nice if that stuff was a little bit more consistent.
Likelihood to Recommend
Definitely well suited for enterprise identity management. Just makes sense to use that tool because it's been the standard for so many years. Businesses that may not be ready for an enterprise level product might not be for them just due to cost. So there might be some more cost efficient and effective ways to perform the same tasks.

I currently use this product to help one of my clients. I currently use this product to help facilitate the entire management of their email system. So basically it addressed problems because before they were another vendor and it was very hard to apply policies. It was done by a third party provider. So the company didn't have any type of insight on how their management of their policies were being done. We didn't have enough reports information wise. So with this here and now we can have more activity, more assurance in terms of integrity, like who accesses person's emails, especially from a privileged account like IT persons can do more stuff than the average user. So management need that confidence. So address that problem of transparency and visibility to be honest, in terms of access across the cloud, because we use Entra ID to access so many different products, especially those are connected to Entra.
Pros
It addresses the issue of identity management very well with respect to putting in that multi authentication.
It can also support with respect to we can push these policies into another product that is not Microsoft, but it needs that SSO so we can have one account going into multi different accounts. I think that's the biggest pros and the easy use of Microsoft 365 also is one of those pros also in terms of administration.
Cons
Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with the existing product of course. So improvement would be just to expand the functionalities to be honest. Maybe have an easier way to expand it into devices of any type. Once it's an API, Microsoft probably has something, but it's not that easy. I can't see it. I show you this click, I want to connect to this, to my firewall or this to this product. Just make it more easy to connect to more products as possible because you have this identity product, it has all the benefits of running, all that compliant stuff that Microsoft gives you. You have all the benefits of the whole accessibility and management and privilege management there for you. Just extend it to more products and that's the only thing I would say to improve on.
Likelihood to Recommend
Scenarios where it's less appropriate. Well if you're going to the cloud, you need to get email. This is well suited because that email account can be your identifier for a whole set of web applications out there on the internet. It may not be useful in an on-premise situation, especially sometimes may not have that connectivity to the internet for certain specific situations, but I'm not sure of which because the world is moving very more internet centric environment. So that's it.

I believe it's a licensing thing that it also does within Intune. I want to make sure that I'm not selling it wrong, but we use it in conjunction with some of the licensing we use in Intune and we assign it to endpoints. That's it.
Pros
I think it just centralizes how we can go about assigning certain levels of license and license levels to endpoint to users that we have.
Cons
No cons.
No cons.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think the integration with Intune and how it helps with managing licensing there. It just helps an organization that can be small or growing or just remote organization where some of that licensing can be handled easier from a central location.

Well, as an MSP, we manage a bunch of clients, so everyone uses Microsoft. 90% of our clients use Microsoft, so it addresses all the authentication issues and cloud-based products that we can't get away from.
Pros
It does authentication really well and all Microsoft products.
Cons
The navigation menus could be a bit easier, less to dive through, more direct access to features would be great.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited, probably multifactor authentication and using it for other applications where the user just has one account to remember. So less appropriate, probably on-premise authentication.

It really allows us to bridge our identity gap from online or from the cloud to on-prem and it allows us to use the same identity from both on-prem and the cloud and then put some access, conditional access policies, governance and things like that against the use of identity.
Pros
I think it integrates really well to other SaaS applications for single sign-on. You can set policies in front of that. I think it is really good at pulling in other applications and using your existing identity solution.
Cons
I don't have anything necessarily specific. I think one thing is it changes so fast sometimes documentation's not updated. It just seems like it rebrands a lot, so it's just always confusing sometimes. But other than that there's nothing really bad to say about it.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it's really well suited if you have a dedicated IT team to manage it. If you're a small business that outsources your IT or doesn't really have someone on set that's proficient, it is a technically challenging tool I think if you're not a savvy user.

We mainly use it for logins, accessing active directory. We have a hybrid system, so we use an Entra ID
Pros
Since we have a hybrid environment, we used to use just the active directory, but then because of the requirements and needs, we sort of move on to hybrid environment and then we have to use Entra ID to do that. So detailed examples, it just works. I mean you don't have to deal with it and once it's set up it's pretty much it's an automated process.
Cons
My role is as a CIO, so I don't really get involved in the hands on stuff, but then the reports that I hear from my team, sometimes it's not to set it up after it's set up it's good but to set it up, it's not sometimes straightforward so you have to spend some time try to go back and forth to set it up. So once it's a set up, it's fine.
Likelihood to Recommend
Since we are a Microsoft shop, we have to use it. There's no other way around it. So whether it's a suit well suite or not, we have to figure out the way to make it work.
