Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used ManageEngine OpManager to find my organization's network-related issues, whether related to the bandwidth of the ISP or the availability of network devices. it gives me a single console to monitor to make the right decision and rectify the network issue to avoid any future downtime. I have saved lots of time and manpower thanks to this product. I received my desired report every day without any interaction, it has been a great experience using ManageEngine OpManager.

In one use case, a client had recovered his amount invested in ManageEngine OpManager via implementing ManageEngine OpManager to ISP link monitoring and sharing the report to their ISP and put penalty against non-availability of internet to their ISP and recover their cost of ManageEngine OpManager.

we are looking for tool which Monitor a critical network, server and application with single window effectivity. the ManageEngine OpManager helped us to achieve the same. not required higher end inhouse server to deploy and manage the tool. very easy to install. the discovery option helps us to auto detect the resources within the network. its also help me to rapid identification and troubleshooting of network faults , especially Root cause analysis and resolution of issues and Reduction of downtime and mean time to repair (MTTR).

Pros

Tracking of key metrics like CPU, memory, disk space, network traffic, and application performance in a simple dashboard
Monitoring of critical business applications like a SMTP mail server, XAMPP web servers, MSSQL databases,
Real-time alerts for issues like outages, slowdowns based on the threshold value
It's also helping us to do the capacity planning for future growth.

Cons

Reporting options can still to be improved. i felt limited reporting customization.
1st time installation is bit complicated
Remote office system monitoring is requiring opening firewall port and sometimes it says all the servers are down when the connectivity to the report network is goes offline.

Pros

The Support Team is tremendous, If there is any support needed Technically like to create a custom monitoring for a new product if we provide the required MIB file they can create in a minute
The Interface in pretty much easy to understand even for a beginner
The Deployment is not an hassle.

Cons

There are many open source products like Nagios etc, even we have tested out that product the customization in that product will be like hassle.
This product is a worth buying for this price range, as far as monitoring concern
Even ManageEngine OpManager has Cloud version we can simply use it as an SaaS product

We are using ManageEngine OpManager for almost 2 years. Initially we used that product only for Interface Bandwidth Utilization, But now we are using it as an monitoring tool for all the network assests in our company. We are like System Intergators for SMB's we are highly recommending this product for our clients for centralized monitoring for its simplified interface and easy deployement.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use ManageEngine OpManager mainly to monitor the server infrastructure at headquarters and remote branches. The monitoring system is integrated with the IT Helpdesk system (ManageEngine Service Desk Plus) in my environment, which allows to quickly respond to critical alerts in the IT infrastructure. The graphical user interface is very user friendly.

ManageEngine OpManager is well suited in a scenario where other OpManager software is also used. The monitoring system can be integrated, for example, with ME Service Desk Plus or ME Applications Manager's. The system will work well in large organizations with a lot of virtual servers and other physical devices. I do not recommend OpManager for smaller companies, because it is too extensive (which is its advantage).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize ManageEngine OpManager to help monitor multiple aspects of our environment including network, physical server and storage equipment, virtual machines and the applications that run within the virtual machines. OpManager allows us to centralize this monitoring and makes it much easier to troubleshoot any problems that should arise. The interface is simple to use and support for the solution from both the company and community are fantastic. We have not run into any issues with setting up custom alerts and monitors for many of our different solutions that we need to keep an eye on either. Any speed bumps we have run into when creating these custom alerts and monitors were quickly resolved by either reaching out to support or interacting with the community.

We have had an excellent experience with ManageEngine OpManager, it was easy to demo and then move into production from there. We continue to add and tweak things as needed and have not ran into any issues or lack of functionality in regards to what we are using the solution for since adopting it. Both support and the community are readily available to help with any issues. We have setup many custom alerts and monitors for our different solutions we use and they have all worked as needed.

Using it for network devices monitoring for some of our customers. It got multiple deployment Options like Probe-based and Central Management. Thou OpManager is for network monitoring however it also covers OS monitoring and some of the MS Infra Apps like AD, exchange, etc...

Pros

Wide coverage of network Devices monitoring.
NetFlow Analyzer for bandwidth and network traffic is one of the best in market.
Out of the box Support for AD, SQL and MS Exchange.

Cons

SaaS offering would be a good option
It integrate well with AppManager, bring the AI/ML and it will make as observability platform

It's a good tool for the customer who is specifically looking for an On-prem solution for network device monitoring and also covers OS and MS infra apps without busing additional modules like AppManager. It doesn’t fit the customer who is looking for cloud-based solution for monitoring.

We work with MSP and their end-clientele across Australia, and understand their unique requirement to gain visibility on Hybrid Infrastructure. Doing so, we cascade personalized Demo of ManageEngine OpManager ensuring it caters to client requirements. Internally, we use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor our Hybrid Infrastructure wherein 3D NOC Dashboard proactively alerts us of potential faults in Servers, Networks, and even Applications. ManageEngine OpManager is quite flexible, giving our clients the flexibility to pick and choose Infrastructure monitoring modules per their unique requirements such as capturing errors/metrics for Network bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, or APM. At the same time, the Unified console offers end-to-end visibility on the entire Infrastructure. OpManager with its strong product roadmap, continual enrichment since the past decade, Simplified UI i.e. easily navigable has gained client trust from across different geographies.

3D NOC Dashboard gives granular visibility on Port in error, which saves Technician time prior to Onsite troubleshooting.
Separate modules such as Network Bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, APM, Server Monitoring can be opt-out Individually, huge cost saving for clients.
MSP version gives flexibility for Service providers, to offer Uninterrupted Infrastructure services across to their wide clientele.

Cons

A strong product roadmap has ensured ManageEngine OpManager is catering to unique client requirements from all geographies. We expect ManageEngine OpManager continue to do that.

Likelihood to Recommend

Organizations are more wanting to have a Hybrid model, few organizations are moving to a 100% Cloud model. Doing so, Infrastructure monitoring i.e. ensuring Performance and Availability is catering to Internal/External client SLA is the utmost priority. OpManager captures Performance and Availability regardless of Hybrid and/or Cloud.
