We use LumApps for our Intranet. Primary objectives for the project include Centralized information repository, frequently used links or contact forms, Enterprise Org Chart, and communications related to news about the company. We primarily use it without the social or crowd-sourcing elements. The site is managed by a communications team and updated as needed to support company communications initiatives.
Pros
Several Widget Options - lots of tools to build pages.
Org Chart - Org chart is nice as long as your Google Workspace environment is accurate.
Flexibility in site layout allows you to customize to your organization's needs.
Cons
The editing user interface is a bit wonky and occasionally glitchy.
The back-end options are not organized super well, which can make it confusing to find the right settings.
The customization options are somewhat limited without advanced CSS/dev skills, and the basic functions can be a bit challenging for some non-technical users.
Likelihood to Recommend
LumApps would be well suited for an organization that wants an internal website with social interaction and sharing across the org. It works best if there is a solid vision and strategy. There are many options and it can be overwhelming so it is important to have the plan in place. Less well suited to small or non-technical teams. Requires some CMS management skills.

LumApps works as our company intranet. We post important company news, updates, and knowledge-based resources for our departments. If our employees are looking for important HR news, upcoming events, marketing PDF files, or employee contact information, then our LumApps site is where they go. Its easy integration with G-suite is a big reason why we decided to go the LumApps direction. Department pages are so easy to build, you can do it in less than a day. And company news posts can be completed in less than 5 minutes!
Pros
Integrate with Google (G Suite)
Integrate with Google Drive folders
Makes building pages and posts very easy!
Cons
Better newsletter functionality
Needs pre-built page templates
Needs pre-built post templates

LumApps is well suited to build out your company's intranet or news portal. The ability to create posts and send out notifications for current news is really nice. Their backend analytics is a little light though. I wish that it was more detailed and you could see analytics by user or group.
We use LumApps as our primary workforce portal. We share company news, events, and policies, along with community collaboration
Pros
Audience targeting
Supports multiple languages
Flexible design & style
Mobile readiness
Cons
Administration of content and users is limited from reporting and historical logs
Not easy to move things around on the back-end
Not easily adaptable as you grow or change direction
Likelihood to Recommend
The platform is great for small to medium-sized companies with the need to quickly communicate with the workforce in different and modern ways. If you know what you want and how to do it from the beginning it's easy to work within the platform. Content targeting, notifications, page design is all very flexible and work well. If you are a large-scale company that may change over time, it's a bit harder to change what you have set up without a lot of work to make the "new" approach work, it also doesn't offer any different "administrator" level permissions.
