LogMeIn Pro by GoTo - Rock Solid

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At our small IT firm, LogMeIn Pro by GoTo is a lifesaver for remote support. With our varied clients, we need a reliable tool to access machines, fix issues, and handle maintenance without being on-site – and LogMeIn Pro by GoTo gets the job done pretty much without fail. We use it daily to troubleshoot, install software, and manage servers. It saves us a ton of time by letting us fix problems remotely instead of driving to client sites. Our clients like the quick response, and we love the efficiency. We handle everything from routine checkups to urgent fixes, across Windows and macOS. The file transfer feature and the ability to manage multiple clients from the dashboard makes life easier.

Pros

  • LogMeIn Pro by GoTo offers unattended remote access that’s reliable and always available. You can securely log in to a client’s device (Windows or macOS) from anywhere, even without them present.....as long as their machine is on.
  • You can transfer files during a session without disrupting work. I've also transferred some pretty large files at times without issues.
  • I like the dashboard as it makes it easy to manage and organize multiple devices across our client base. You can see online/offline status, access machines instantly, and share access with your team all in one easy to view place

Cons

  • LogMeIn Pro by GoTo is expensive compared to many other remote access tools. Pricing scales per device, which adds up quickly if you manage multiple client machines, which we do.
  • LogMeIn Pro by GoTo doesn't have real time alerts. For example, if a server goes down.

Return on Investment

  • Increased Productivity & Efficiency
  • Overall Cost Savings - while pricey it does save us time and money
  • Improved Customer Service & Support

Good value for the money for sales and IT employees.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used this for employees that often travel so that they have access to everything at all times. Some have desktop computers and laptops that they both use; this is a great way to ensure that they always have their files readily available regardless of the location or device they are using.

Pros

  • Smooth operations.
  • Not much for implementation.
  • Saves login information.

Cons

  • I don't have any cons at this time.

Return on Investment

  • Improved operations - people could access what they needed when before they couldn't.
  • Integrates well with systems.
  • IT can use it to fix systems.
