We started using Lobbytrack to modernize our previous paper visitor log. We quickly started viewing this as an opportunity to make a strong branding impression on all visitors to our office. We also discovered, post-implementation, that we would need to use the pre-registration features to reduce the bottleneck that was created when we had a group of visitors arriving at the same time. As an added bonus, we are able to send pertinent information to all our visitors, such as the guest Wi-Fi info.

Cons

  • The SSO implementation needs to be improved upon, especially adding SSO functionality to the Employee app.
  • Support documentation is quite lacking.
  • Visitors that aren't preregistered should have the ability to select the duration of their visit during check-in.

  • Easy to maintain the database.
  • Works well with touchscreen computer monitor.
  • Associated dymo label printer has been very reliable.

Cons

  • Scheduled reports (instead of run on demand).
  • Published API and/or an automated way of loading data to the database (it's not difficult but could be automated).
  • Updating layout of printed labels is not very intuitive (but we only have to do it rarely).

I work the front desk and we need to keep track of all visitors because it's a requirement of our government contract. We wanted something that looked professional, could be branded with our logo, was simple to use, allowed us to enter visitor info ahead of time, and had the ability to export the logs to save for our records.

  • The logs split the visitor info between 2 spreadsheets which I have to compile into one.
