Business Problems Solved
LinkedIn Recruiter is a powerful tool that allows users to access a global talent market and search for professionals with specific skills. According to users, the software is particularly useful for identifying qualified candidates for open positions and sourcing passive candidates who are more likely to be qualified and satisfied with the job. With LinkedIn Recruiter, users can effectively search for candidates based on specific requirements such as location, experience, education, job title, and skills. The software enables users to track candidate pipelines, perform outreach activities, and sync with their company's recruiting database to keep track of candidates.
In addition to its use in the recruitment process, LinkedIn Recruiter is also widely used by sales teams for prospecting and business development purposes. Users appreciate the ease of use and intuitive interface of the software, along with its powerful search features that allow for fine-tuning candidate searches within a week. One of the standout features of LinkedIn Recruiter is InMail, which has a higher response rate compared to other outreach methods. This makes it a primary form of outreach and sourcing for many users.
Overall, LinkedIn Recruiter is considered a vital asset for identifying skilled professionals across various industries and positions. It helps address the challenge of finding qualified candidates, especially for hard-to-fill roles or when there is a lack of qualified inbound applicants. Whether it's recruiting professional positions like accounting, sales, and management or sourcing and networking in the IT field, LinkedIn Recruiter provides valuable solutions for both recruiters and salespeople looking to find, engage, and connect with potential candidates and prospects.
I use LinkedIn Recruiter to source and hire candidates for multiple client openings. LinkedIn Recruiter helps connect various candidates across numerous skills. We face problems while searching on other job boards, specifically targeting years of experience or targeting specific Industries or companies. LinkedIn recruiter helps with these specific filters, which are not available on other job boards.
Pros
With a large pool of candidates, we can look at both active and passive candidates in the Job market.
Diverse filters help in targeting specific areas.
AI Search.
AI Messages drafting.
Cons
There is no feature that allows you to find a specific keyword based on recent experience for a particular candidate.
There is no feature if I want to target profiles with recommendations specifically.
Job Titles should have (AND, OR features like Boolean search).
Likelihood to Recommend
LinkedIn Recruiter is better suited in terms of the filters it provides to search for a pool of candidates. Features like past and current companies, past universities, or years of experience, AI Search, and AI message drafting do wonders in terms of recruitment. But some more filters can be added, which will help further in recruitment. For example, Boolean search in job titles, targeting specific keywords in recent experience, etc.

We use LinkedIn Recruiter as a sourcing tool for our business. We are a small, scrappy, startup recruitment agency. We are in the business of Direct-Hire positions so easy tools like ZipRecruiter don't usually produce the same quality candidates as you would using LinkedIn Recruiter. With LinkedIn Recruiter, we are able to find awesome passive candidates who tend to be more qualified and end with both the candidate and client being happier.
Pros
Detailed candidate searching
Automated sourcing
Project organization
Cons
Groups are a little difficult to manage in my opinion.

We use LinkedIn Recruiter every day. It is our main source for gathering information, building quality talent pipelines, tracking engagement (Personal & Team), and most of the tools we use are integrated well with it. It's safe to say LinkedIn Recruiter is the pulse of the system we have in play here at Rogue Recruitment.
I used LinkedIn Recruiter to access a global talent market of engaged professionals. I can search for, communicate with, and share the experiences of these professionals in order to fill critical open jobs at my company. The filters and search capabilities allow me to narrow down my search results to hone in on the specific skills I need in future candidates.
Pros
Access to a global talent marketplace.
Targeted searching.
Ability to share candidates with hiring teams.
Cons
Better "diversity" filters.
More granular industry categories - product/consulting/services, etc.
More contact info - or the ability to search for it in the LIR interface.
Likelihood to Recommend
LinkedIn Recruiter is the biggest player in the game. If you are not using it, you will be at a competitive disadvantage. Unfortunately, the cost is very prohibitive for small companies. The ability to create projects, share with hiring teams, and collect feedback in one central place is a differentiator.
I primarily use LinkedIn Recruiter as a way to track my candidate pipelines and a way to perform outreach. Recruiter is easily the most popular tool for people in my organization to get ahold of qualified candidates as that is where we are likely to get the quickest and most responses.
Pros
Pipeline management
Outreach options
Cons
Boolean filters
Inactive profile tracking
Likelihood to Recommend
LinkedIn Recruiter is the most well suited for outreach and re-outreach. The ability to track how many messages you've sent someone, create templates, and move people to different stages makes the process much smoother. In addition the ability to track candidates in different projects and move them to and from different stages is stellar.
I used it as a tool when sourcing [for] different jobs within the IT Field. Lately, I use it more to network and stay in touch with what's happening in the industry. LinkedIn is a [great] tool when looking for very junior or very senior candidates and establishing communication with people in different fields.
Pros
Source according to values entered.
Provide a wide variety of candidates
Allows to document interactions and classify contacts according to their response or lack of.
Cons
Wider categories are missing in Candidates pipeline
Price is expensive when you are only paying for one person access.
Charging customers before their trial ends, it's something that happened to me
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great when you are looking to change jobs, network, source, and recruit share your experience in the professional field, and [give] your opinion on companies you have worked for. It is not [suited] as a meme posting place, to only socialize for fun or [upload] pictures only.
LinkedIn Recruiter was used by the HR team to look out for candidates who are looking for a job change. Since LinkedIn is such a great platform for the Professional world, LinkedIn Recruiter made it easy to get the right candidates for the right roles across the board. Applicates searching was easy based upon the requirements and thus helping in having a effective search for the right candidates.
Pros
Helps in identifying the candidates looking for a job.
Able to filter out the right applicants using the filters.
Ability to contact up to 25 candidates using the InMail feature at a time.
Cons
No visibility of the user contact information.
No free trial to get the feel of the usage and compare with other services.
Support in case of need is not that good and needs lots of improvement.
Not worth the amount being spent for the service.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you are a very large enterprise and have tens of thousands of dollars that you can spend then this is good for you. However, it's still not worth the money that is being given. Lots of things need to be added or considered for better usage and cost provided. For small and medium companies, you are better off using other providers that are cost effective and are better at times than LinkedIn Recruiter.
Being able to identify viable talent is paramount in the recruiting and HR industry. Linked In has been a vital asset to me currently and in several previous positions. At the last 3 organizations with which I worked, the majority of the staff were super users of LinkedIn and Recruiter Lite.
Pros
LinkedIn has always had a project function, but recently has expanded its functionality to make it more user friendly and comprehensive.
Top research tool where you can identify companies, employees and people by function or job title.
LinkedIn makes it easy to build search lists by location and industry.
Strong profile platform that can be used as a type of resume where an individual can share as much or as little information as appropriate.
Cons
We have enjoyed its add on functionality with a direct link from our applicant tracking system directly to a particular candidate profile. The issue I have seen is that half of the time it doesn't find the correct profile. It is there but requires digging to find it.
It is expensive to have Recruiter for individual operators or small companies.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is relatively easy to build a search in an particular area as long as you know the titles or keywords specific to your industry. I probably am able to get 85-90% of the people who may be possibilities in a particular location, discipline, and job.
Our research department uses it to find the best candidates for our technology research projects. It allows me to organize the people I am reviewing and classify them into groups for research projects.
Pros
Organize people for different projects.
Message them and keep track of who I have contacted, who I am rejecting, and how I want to continue with.
The search capabilities are excellent.
Cons
Some of the search capabilities are not as good as Sales Navigator, I wish they were better.
I still have not gotten fully trusting for recommended matches, but I appreciate they are working to improve the tool.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is a great tool for finding people with specific skillsets or company experience on LinkedIn. I wish the search had a few more options for filters. It is great at leveraging the huge database of people at LinkedIn.
