When it was announced that Google Optimize was sunset in 2023, our organization was searching for a performant, easy-to-use experimentation, and personalization platform that fit into our tech stack. After an extensive POC process, we decided upon Kameleoon as our platform of choice due to the ease of integration into our tech stack, lightweight snippet, and knowledgeable customer success team dedicated to our success. Kameleoon allows us to experiment on our Headless WordPress platform, Atlas, using a visual or code-based editor.
Pros
Dedicated customer success team.
Easy-to-configure experimentation platform.
Visual and code-based editor.
Product team receptive to user feedback.
Out-of-the-box integration with Segment.
Team change log to understand who made what changes.
Cons
Platform UX/UI is "clunky" and language used doesn't always make sense.
The widget editor is initially tough to understand with its crossover with the experimentation vs. personalization sections.
Adding additional reporting tools is manual/easy to forget.
Likelihood to Recommend
There are many platforms to choose from when it comes to experimentation and personalization. We've found Kameleoon to be an excellent choice for those looking for a balance in capabilities (it checks all the boxes), cost-effectiveness, and a helpful customer success team paired with a responsive product team.
Kameleoon is used to do A/B tests. Webmarketing team identifies some issues or possible improvements to be done on the website and then we can test it with Kameleoon. It's also used as patch on the website for some minor developments that are urgent and can't be handle by the IT team.
Pros
A/B tests
Personalization
follow-up with the account manager
Cons
widget editor

Kameleoon is a nice tool to use to do personalization and A/B test on the website according to visitor behaviour. Also, the IA part is interesting to use and to learn from. thanks to the widget editor it's possible to build your own pop-in, banner, chatbox even if your not into coding which is a nice thing and allow to be more autonomous.

At Cegid, the team uses
Kameleoon on a daily basis with the aim to generate more leads through our
website. In order to do so, we developed among classic personalization
campaigns some use cases that are based on Kameleoon's AI. This allows us to
specifically address visitors with a high propensity to convert and offer them
each an individualized journey, -- all of this without degrading the
experience of other users visiting the site. Being able to segment the incoming
traffic through AI has been the key to generating powerful personalization
strategies, eventually raising our business conversion results.
Pros
It is clear to me that Kameleoon's strength lies in its platform. Although the tool is really accessible to everyone (especially thanks to the graphic editor that allows you to create in a very visual way), I particularly enjoy the vast possibilities allowed to already skilled users. There is a symbiosis between creation through code and parameterization through the tool's functionalities and I appreciate it.
Cons
Although the tool is regularly updated by the product team on a weekly basis, there are specific features that could use further enhancement. For example, if we want to launch advanced personalization campaigns, some JS and CSS skills are needed and not all of our users are proficient at it, so it could become challenging to do it without professional help. Fortunately, Kameleoon's CS & IT teams are always ready to give support and offer assistance from the basic to the more advanced technical level as needed.

We definitely believe that
Kameleoon helps us garner more leads, and the data confirms it. I would rate it
8/10.
Kameleoon is used mostly by our IT teams to set up A/B tests to optimize the customer journey and increase client retention and subscriptions. A/B testing and Personnalisation have always been a topic in our company, now we have a great tool that gives us access to a variety of targeting criteria, allowing you to push more complex scenarios. We are now able to get facts and stats on changes we make thanks to Kameleoon's native reporting.
Pros
Quick to deploy on multiple websites
Easy to read reporting pages
Great range of targeting criteria
Cons
When the testing page doesn't have enough visits, it can take a while to reach significant results.
When making heavy changes, it's best to use the code editor instead of the graphic editor

Optimizing our product offer (for example optimizing the conversion funnel or offering a different presentation of our pricing... etc), Highlighting key points of our website (tooltips, changing the order of the element, playing with the wordings, the colors ...etc). Kameleoon is less appropriate for a low traffic page as it takes a while to reach statistical significance.

Kameleoon is mainly used by teams in charge of digital content. Marketing teams can also use it to highlight promotional offers. Kameleoon's plateform allows us to deal with conversion issues and design the best experience to all our visitors.
Pros
This is a complete and powerful tool. You can esaly learn how to use it even if you're not a developer.
Thanks to its simple and intuitive interface, we can test UX hypotheses through AB tests and web personalization on our site.
Cons
None for the moment. Kameleoon is really easy to use.
Likelihood to Recommend
We strongly recommand Kameleoon. After a short learning phase, performance increased very quickly. Kameleoon is suitable for reinsurance and lead generation scenarios; but also to highlight messages / content. It is less suitable for display scenarios of additional products (especially in retail).

Here are two examples of successful scenarios: If you need UX improvements without technical expertise, you can really easily use the graphical tool to design your experiences. If you want to determine conversion intent in real-time, Kameleoon uses AI to predict your visitors’ intention in real-time and drive transformational revenue growth.

La Provence is one of the main newspapers in France. We cover every newsworthy topic and have a very broad readership. Today, we use Kameleoon to A/B test our website.

I’m really happy with Kameleoon. I’m already recommending it and will keep on doing so.
It is mainly used by our marketing department. We made the choice to choose an A/B testing and personalization tool which is perfectly built for marketers and suited to their business needs. With Kameleoon, we can optimize our forms on our landing pages, change buttons’ colors, text, blocks arrangements… We can do many things we want on every page of our website without involving our IT department, which was one of our requirement when we decided to select a tool.
Pros
Kameleoon is really a tool built for marketers. It’s very easy to install and use. In a few minutes you can launch A/B tests and personalizations on your own.
Kameleoon’s team provides us with quite good advice on their blog. Every month we have new questions and they always come up with new ideas of best practices which are pretty useful.
Kameleoon is very helpful in helping us implementing our most complex tests and campaigns.
Cons
Even if we really don’t want to involve our IT department in our marketing actions, we sometimes have to call them to add CSS or JS code.
If you have a technical person on your team, you will be just fine, but if not, you will have to involve IT people or ask Kameleoon’s team to help you create your tests.
Likelihood to Recommend
Kameleoon has a very intuitive interface which allows you to create simple A/B tests without IT resources involved. You can launch your tests very easily and see what changes work the best. This is why I would highly recommend Kameleoon to a colleague or other marketers like me. For me, Kameleoon is very effective for marketers because you can do changes on your website or launch personalization campaigns autonomously. For that, I give them a 10.
