Ease of Employee Management: Users appreciate how easy it is to manage employees, contractors, and vendors through JustWorks' portal. Many reviewers have mentioned that the platform simplifies ongoing changes in employee management, such as adding or removing employees, making it super-easy to handle. The intuitive user interface and simple design of JustWorks stand out among other online tools used for business purposes.
Superb Service: Users highly praise the superb service provided by JustWorks. They highlight the responsiveness and knowledge of their representatives, specifically mentioning the helpfulness and thoroughness of a representative named Stein. The great support provided by JustWorks when users encounter difficulties is also commended.
Automation of Payroll and Benefit Administration: Users value the automation offered by JustWorks for payroll and benefit administration. They find it convenient to track employees' hours, time off requests, and streamline payments through the platform. Additionally, users appreciate features like email notifications about received payments and easy access to information on account setup process.
JustWorks is the standard system for HR management, benefits, accounting, and payroll. I have acted both as a user and an administrator. It has a huge advantage over existing solutions since JustWorks offers the best of both worlds: a self-directed, self-serve option as well as easy access to a contact person or account manager to answer questions. We evaluated multiple PEOs and no one else had this flexibility. JustWorks also supports all the additional services you'd expect, health benefits that are equivalent to a large organization, insurance etc. I would highly recommend JustWorks for any startup at its earliest stage to a growing one.
Pros
Enrollment - both self serve and access to a person to help
Communication - email communication with updates and explanations
Easy to use web portal - information at the administrator's and user's fingertips
Cons
Value proposition - understanding why JustWorks is better than other PEOs
Aggregated user logins - if you have worked in multiple companies with multiple JustWorks accounts, you need a unique one for each company which can get confusing

As I have only used JustWorks at 3 different companies all of less than 30 employees, I am not equipped to access how it scales to companies of 100+ users. For SMBs, I have found that they are the best after evaluating 4 different PEOs in terms of ease of use and the breadth of what they offer.
Justworks is basically our entire HR portal. It's where we run payroll, where we decide upon and check on benefits, and where we put some company documents regarding HR protocols. Our entire company uses it and it makes it very easy to run payroll without any hassle. We are also able to distinguish between hourly, salary, and contractors each payroll with ease.
Pros
Running Payroll
Choosing and Checking on Benefits
Setting company standards
Cons
Sometimes slow on response times
Sending Admin emails
Better visibility into potential benefits
Likelihood to Recommend
This is completely appropriate for smaller businesses like us. However, if you are at a business with an in-house HR solution this is probably not the best fit. JustWorks is our entire HR portal and we wouldn't be able to easily and quickly find benefits or run payroll without it.
JustWorks is our PEO/HR and compliance and benefits and payroll platform. It's used by HR for administering headcount, benefits, running payroll, etc. It's used by all employees for configuring their employment accounts, electing benefits, etc.
Using a PEO instead of a standard payroll provider gives us more flexibility for multi state hires, and provides more competitive insurance rates.
Pros
HR Compliance and Support
Payroll
Benefits Administration
Cons
Mobile app
API/Automation
Expense reimbursement

Businesses looking to hire US based employees but who want to remain compliant in multiple states.
Businesses growing quickly can use their HR support. It's quite a bit more expensive than Gusto or other payroll providers but the insurance benefits can help a bit.
We use it for a lot. Being a small company we don't really have an HR team so we use it for benefits, time off, 401K and any information needed with it. It's a great resource and really easy to use.
Pros
Easy to use
Easy to find information
Easy to contact help if needed
All benefits in one place
Cons
There was an issue with our first paycheck. It wasn't being sent in correctly.

I think for a small company with limited resources or knowledge around HR it's perfect.
At my prior company, we used Justworks as our PEO for benefits, PTO and payroll as well as reporting. This was an incredibly easy to use product for onboarding new employees.
Pros
Onboarding is super easy for the user.
Company calendar - I loved that as HR I could see any major dates for the company.
Customer service - I had a great account rep who was always available to answer my questions
Cons
I sent a lot of suggestions to the account rep over the year+ I worked with Justworks. I believe much of my feedback was around reports and customization.

Justworks is great for smaller companies in the tech space who don't have a full-service HR team. As a single support HR member, it saved me a ton of time.

Our company uses Justworks across our whole organization! For our small tech company, it helps to alleviate the workload of having to hire a full-time HR manager for compliance, benefits management, payroll, etc., since it is all in one easy to use hub, and we have access to the awesome Justworks team!
Pros
Provides top notch medical benefits
Eliminates need to through healthcare broker
Easy to use interface
Great and easy to work with team who is on hand to answer all HR related questions
Free access to OneMedical which our team loves!
Cons
Early on, we would have loved access to a candidate management tool (such as Lever) so that we wouldn't have to invest in this tool independently.
An easier way to track hours and do payroll for part time or contractor employees.

I can't think of a scenario where Justworks wouldn't be a good choice for your business, no matter the size.
Across the whole organization. It allows us to accurately keep track of our time amongst all employees. It solves the solution of accurate time keeping across all employees.
Pros
Clean UI. Boomr is easy to use from the outset and makes sense logically.
Shows how much you worked compared to last week, which is a helpful insight to view trends.
Cons
Incorrect and misspelled addresses show up frequently. For example, if I work at company McDonalds, and by mistake record my shift as occurring at location as NcDonalds, NcDonalds is consistently present as an option to select on future shifts, even though it clearly is not accurate.
Shifts are confusing to edit. It is difficult to do so.
If i want to record a lunch break it is inconvenient to do so. Boomr has no mechanism in place to track overtime.
Likelihood to Recommend
It works well and is simple, but some parts of it are obtuse and frustrating. I wouldn't heap praise on it as a recommendation, but would suggest it as an easy solution even if it is frustrating.
We needed a way to calculate hourly employee work. We mostly have salaried employees but were using Google Sheets for interns and a few junior employees who were hourly. This helped us keep track of hours in a compliant way and pay them accurately. The other key piece was the integration with Gusto. We had a unique use case in that not all of our employees were hourly. Their team worked with us to figure out how to implement it correctly.
Pros
Integrations with different vendors was a huge piece for us.
User experience is one of the best of any product I have seen. Very easy to use on both desktop and mobile
Support was very good. They helped us with every question we had.
Cons
We didn't hit any issues where we needed different features.
Likelihood to Recommend
Boomr is great if you have a mobile workforce and need to log their hours with their geolocation. It is also good for anyone who wants simple to use interface and out of the box integrations.
This might not be good for someone with 1000s of employees as it could be expensive based off structure we paid into.
My company has 5 employees. I'm the only employee that was not a founder of the company and I use Boomr to track my time since I work remotely. It takes a lot of pressure off of working remotely and logging my time because it makes my times available to my employer and to me for transparency. It also keeps up with how much I am being paid for each shift.
Pros
Provides information on how much I'm getting paid for each shift
Makes time records available to me for later reference
Automatically makes time records available for my employer
Cons
Must have GPS coordinates confirmed to check in
Does not allow edits to shifts by either me or my employer for incidents like forgetting to check out
Does not display a new week's shift until a second shift is logged
Likelihood to Recommend
It is very well suited to situations in which employees are working flexible, unsupervised hours remotely or in the field. I don't see it being particularly suited to people working together supervised in one location, or on a fixed schedule, though I don't see any problems with using the app in that kind of situation.
