Easy to use was exactly what I needed

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Jotform to help us do dock inspections for our customers. We as employees fill out the form and then create a PDF to send to the customer.

Pros

  • Pre-Fill Function
  • User friendly
  • Convert forms to PDF's

Cons

  • I had to separately google how to pre-fill the forms and then save that particular link, so maybe having the pre-fill as a more accessible option
  • Allow more than one user per team
  • Allow more space on the free version. I was only able to upload 4-5 forms in total before running out of space.

Likelihood to Recommend

We were looking for a form that our team could fill out when doing dock inspections for our customers. We wanted to be able to create a form from scratch that had all of the information we wanted to fill out with the ability to add pictures as well. We love that when we fill out the form, it gets emailed to the team immediately to see what was filled out on the form and then we can create a PDF from that form to send to the customer with the photos and notes attached. It was perfect for what we needed.

Easy to use and implement

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using Jotform for contract signatures from our clients. We were previously using Adobe and on the customer side, it was very labor intensive. They would have to download it, fill it out, and then send it back. Moving to Jotform has simplified the process for our customers and we see a higher conversion on sign ups.

Pros

  • Collect Signatures
  • Professional appearance
  • Easy to make the form
  • Secure

Cons

  • Formatting inside the paragraph inputs. Once I clicked the bullets I couldn't turn it off.
  • Option for securing the form so it's not public, but I don't have to invite people. Maybe available by link only?

Likelihood to Recommend

Very easy to use. A lot of other companies like us do not have a lot of expertise in house on how to use or make forms like this. Again, it's all about being easy to use with an end product that is professional.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Jotform to intake employee applications. It stream lines our ability to have applicants apply on our website and other online forums. Previously this was done through pen and paper, it was very time intensive and difficult for potential employees. I see Jotform having more and more applications in our company.

Pros

  • Ease of gathering information
  • Easy to change form fields
  • Very versatile for many different applications

Cons

  • More instruction on what different features do and potential use of them

Likelihood to Recommend

So far Jotform has provided us the ability to receive data from mobile and desktop devices and to help our business grow

Great product

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Jotform is used in by business for clients to complete a site visit request form. We remove honeybees from buildings and re-home them. I needed to be able to create a submission form where customers could upload photos- my website forum could not handle the uploading capacity. Furter, Jotform allowed me to provide a response email so that customers get to hear from me immediately with a pre-written form email.

Pros

  • Easy to create the form
  • Easy to link the form to my website (have nearly zero tech knowledge)
  • Allowed my customers the ability to upload photos/video which is critical
  • Allowed me the ability to create a form response to the customer immediately

Cons

  • I was unaware in the beginning that I had the ability and should go and delete unused forms to help save space.

Likelihood to Recommend

The ease of use in creating, linking and using the form are critical for me. The forms have a professional look are quite helpful in keeping a certain standard for my business. I think any situation where a business needs to gather standard information from your customers are a great way that Jotform can be used. I especially think the ablity to customize the form so much is wonderful, adding the ability for clients to upload photo/video. I don't think Jotform is needed in scenario that is similar to replacing emails.

Highly recommend Jotform!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Jotform to complete daily heavy equipment inspections, safety paperwork, and equipment operator qualification forms. We had issues with ensuring equipment maintenance was being done when damage was observed by operators on owned equipment. We are able now to better track qualifications, maintenance, and repairs. Jotform allows us to have a signed document trail and email notifications. It is extremely valuable tool and I highly recommend it.

Pros

  • Email notificationes
  • Signature verification
  • Easy to use form creations
  • Easy automated approval creation

Cons

  • Adding 1-5 users vs. full business package
  • Signature form submission restrictions could be a little larger

Likelihood to Recommend

Field forms for construction workers especially with the app - very helpful.
Not great for field documents requiring multiple signatures.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Jotform has saved my bacon a number of times with really easy to customize forms. Reduced costs by giving us safety compliance forms for free that we can develop and share, and it works well with G-Suite Integration! Saving all our form submissions is super easy and automated and can be enforced with corporate policy.

Pros

  • Layout
  • Basic functionality
  • Output automation
  • Google Integration for submissions

Cons

  • Icon/Branding invasiveness on free version
  • Submission limits too low
  • Quick online help via chat

Likelihood to Recommend

Amazing for small businesses with a few people who need to get more professional and can't invest in massive expensive systems.

Great system, very handy for the site managers to update and use. Overall a great product that is user friendly. Would recommend for the construction industry. We currently use this system on 4 different sites and we hope to extend this to a further 3 sites before the year is out.

Pros

  • user friendly
  • quick delivery
  • calculations

Cons

  • more submissions

Likelihood to Recommend

it is great for recording timesheets. We would like to in the future extend our use of the system as we are currently not using to its full potentially but will look at this over the coming months to see if we can use the other forms and sections to help our business

Great for converting paper forms to digital!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use JotForm for collecting information from sales agents and customers on our website. We've also used it to reduce our reliance on paper forms and collect information from the field that is shared immediately with our office staff. A good example of this is supervisors are able to fill out material order requests on their iPads and submit them for review by out staff.

Pros

  • Large amount of form field types available.
  • Unique field types such as the table, something the other products we tried didn't have.
  • Saved responses that can be edited later.

Cons

  • The PDF editor is buggy.
  • Setup for editable responses is a bit cumbersome, but does work well once set up.
  • Some form fields could use more customization, using CSS is difficult.

Likelihood to Recommend

JotForm works really well for businesses attempting to transition away from paper forms. Other products we tried simply didn't have the field options to cover what was currently on our paper forms. JotForm also has options to condense answers onto customizable reports instead of pre-formatted print-outs that span multiple pages.

I would say JotForm is less suited for someone to just wants to put a quick poll online or have a super easy to use form setup on their website. In that instance I would check out a product like Typeform or Google Forms.

Easy to use and set up, with a small learning curce

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use JotForm in conjunction with another service to run a customer database for our company. This is being used across the company to ensure all customer information is accurate and up-to-date. We have used another form filling solution, which really limited what we could do with the forms - JotForm allows for us to expand our functionality into an aspect of the business that we would have never thought of while we were using the old form filling solution. JotForm is easy to set up and get started, but there is a little bit of a learning curve for some of the more 'advanced' features of JotForm, but once you learn the techniques, it really empowers you as a user and allows for more functionality and features that you would never even know you would need.

Pros

  • Conditional formatting.
  • Powerful widgets.
  • Payment provider integration.
  • Heavy personalization.

Cons

  • Free Usage (Monthly Submissions, Form View, etc.) is too low.
  • Only allows 10 Payment Submissions with the free account - Form submissions (100) and payment submissions should be the same.
  • Form fields in the builder needs better descriptions and directions.

Likelihood to Recommend

Way more features than Google Forms - way more customization, and you're not locked into only one column of form fields in the form. Great conditional formatting allows for certain files to be hidden until another field meets certain criteria - allowing only field relevant to the end-user to be shown, and not all of them.
