Use Cases and Deployment Scope

iCIMS assists in our hiring of employees. From recruiting to onboarding, the platform helps keep track of the process each applicant has made in completing required documentation for hiring. Using iCIMS has allowed us to be more organized and informed throughout the hiring process of each of our new employees.

Pros

Tracks applicants for jobs.
Follows a thorough onboarding process.
Cooperates with our databases.

Cons

Exporting data to excel is not easy for the common user.
Notifications for users could be more noticeable.
Being able to “complete” someone in your onboarding even if a coworker has something they didn’t check off, but you know it’s done.

Likelihood to Recommend

iCIMS is appropriate for companies that hire and onboard a lot of employees. The ability to separate by different generalists and allow each to process and track their own employees is helpful in being more efficient and effective in the Human Resources department. Any company that does basic applicant tracking could use this platform.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

iCIMS helps us to stay on top of all our company's recruitment needs. We have shortened our time to hire by using iCIMS not only for recruiting but by quickly providing feedback from our field hiring managers directly in iCIMS. This allows us to get direct feedback on interviews that allows us to more closely align with the hiring manager's needs.

Pros

Helps to organize recruiters workloads.
Provides easy reporting on all aspects of the recruitment process.
Allows you to understand your business better.

Cons

The learning curve is a challenge at times. Best to let someone experience the processes first hand to get them to understand how to correctly process candidates.
Textrecruit integration needs to be more complete. Do away with the external portal.

Likelihood to Recommend

Very good for handling multiple clients with a wide variety of deadlines, needs, and demands. The level of customization is one of its greatest strengths. For a very small business, there may be too many functions and lately, the support team has been very busy increasing turnaround time on tickets, so you should have an admin that can be as self-sufficient as possible.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used across the whole organization. Recruiters track their candidates against requisitions that are created by hiring managers. The business problem addressed by using iCIMS is that the organization is able to build its own source of candidates, track all requisitions to make sure that positions are filled in a timely manner, and provides overall assessment of the growth of the organization.

Pros

Status reporting.
Ease of use for recruiters.
Enables coordination and collaboration among team members.

Cons

Workflow can always be improved, but much of that is up to the individual organization when iCIMS is setup.
Reporting is good, but could be better.
Data conversion efforts when moving from another system.

Likelihood to Recommend

iCIMS is very well suited for an Information Technology consulting company. Information Technology consulting companies require a comprehensive applicant tracking system to efficiently and effectively grow their organizations. One extremely important component of this ATS (and all ATS) is a robust employee referral component, making it as accessible as possible to current employees to encourage employee referrals. iCIMS is too expensive for smaller organizations.

We currently have iCIMS Recruit and iCIMS pre-board. The talent acquisition team uses iCIMS Talent Cloud as the ATS for Tantus - posting job desriptions on the internal and external career portal, track candidates though the process, track metrics for the recruiting team. Hiring managers have access to review put Job Descriptions in [and] review candidates or look at where the candidates are in the process. We incorporated this with HR to help pre-boarding the candidates as well. (created iforms; and new hire paperwork).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our whole organization uses iCIMS to attract and hire great talent. We use the new Attract product for our career site, and have a highly configured Recruit platform to serve our vast business needs. We also use Connect to continue engaging with candidates who are not yet ready to make a career move.

Pros

iCIMS is a very flexible platform that allows us to do most configurations in-house to meet our needs.
iCIMS support is available almost always, and comes at no additional charge.
New releases happen frequently to allow constant adaptation to changes in the marketplace.

Cons

I would prefer if we could administer iForms ourselves. We often waste time going back and forth with support to get changes to our forms.
I was extremely disappointed to find out that Offer was a product that would come at an extra charge. As a Recruit user, iCIMS knows that we are extending offers. All Recruit customers should have access to the best possible way to extend and manage offer letters.

Likelihood to Recommend

I could see iCIMS being a great solution for companies of all sizes. I've used it working with companies from a range of 1,200 employees, to over 14,000. I think it's scalable for a large company, but simple enough that a small company without HRIT support could still successfully use it.

iCIMS is being used organization-wide as a full-suite ATS.

Pros

Reporting is robust, customizable, and has high functionality on the front end.
Support is responsive, well-versed in the product suite, and strategically finds solutions rather than just chasing the close of the ticket.
Dashboards are highly configurable with visually attractive output options.

Cons

The division between self-serviceable configuration options and ones that must be configured on the back end with support intervention is not always clear. Full access to security rules for front end administrators would be ideal.
A preconfigured dashboard template with commonly preferred recruiter views would be nice, rather than the heavy lift of configuring this from scratch.
Licensing is a challenge in that we have such limited access to our few admin licenses for some types of a la carte permissions which we would like to extend out to other user login groups.

Likelihood to Recommend

I absolutely love iCIMS for its robust functionality in terms of searching, reporting, building flexible views, and more. Our support relationship is fantastic. I would say iCIMS is less ideal without someone in the organization who is very comfortable with the functionality of building dashboards, etc. as this can present a decent learning curve for workstreams that aren't devoted to system administration. If you have an HRIS team to run it, iCIMS is the best.

We use iCIMS in our Scientific Professional Services division. Our division focuses on supporting our customers' lab and regulatory needs through scientific staffing. iCIMS helps us by providing a robust system to review resumes, keep track of our candidates and openings, and start the onboarding process.

Pros

It's an ATS first- not another HRIS that has their own ATS.
The support team is wonderful. They always get back to you and get any questions resolved in a timely manner.
The system is user friendly and intuitive. New hiring managers pick up on it quickly.

Cons

We've had changes to our account managers that have been confusing. We lost our months ago and still have not been assigned a new one. They are very helpful as they take the time to understand how you use the system and ways to make it even better.
Reporting is overwhelming.
Searching is cumbersome. Sometimes I just want to look up a phone number who called me, but I can't because of the formatting.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is fantastic for our division that focuses on scientific staffing. We have many clients, but we're not a staffing agency and still hire full-time employees directly. It's not too simple like other systems- we appreciate all the options and how robust it is.

A great solution for medium-sized firms. There is room for improvement in the CRM piece. Great starter ATS that can be built up to your needs and is scalable.

The HR department, as well as hiring managers, all use our iCIMS platform in addition to new hires joining the company to complete onboarding tasks. HR uses this to keep track of new hires and to export them over to our ADP system. Hiring managers use this to keep track of their tasks they need to do as well as to set up interviews and look at potential new employees.

iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite is great for driving candidates to a position and walking them through the entire pre-employment process. You can add tasks for each new employee in different groups where each group can be assigned different tasks than the others.

Pros

It syncs with tools our team uses.
Candidate application process is easy.
Good offer management tool

Cons

Calendar features are poor.
Email campaigns are not easy to use.
Cannot sync email with the system.

iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite has robust out-of-the-box reporting, with options to customize easily. It's great for EECO/OFCCP compliance. Not sure what guides for recruiting and hiring managers cannot be printed/downloaded for easier access.
