We use iCIMS for recruitment, hiring, and offer letter generation for our admin professionals and staff around the world. It is the ATS for this population and is the system of record for recruitment purposes. It provides a more consistent, legal, and compliant model than our previous system.
Pros
Secure.
Integrates with many systems.
Modular and flexible.
Can adapt to your process.
Excellent support model.
Very good analytics and can be audited.
User administrators have a lot of control of their platform.
Cons
Reporting can always be easier for end-users (but it's on the road map).
Offer (their module for building and managing offer letters and the offer process) is a separate module and additional cost.
Currently, applicants can only upload 1 resume for all their jobs. If an applicant replaces their current resume, it applies to all positions (retroactive and going forward) which can confuse applicants and recruiters alike.

The flexibility and control they afford to clients is hands down great. Their customer support for applicants and for the clients is better than most vendors. It can adapt to your process not the other way around. Applicants get a consistent and compliant application process.
Human Resources manages the system for us, and it is used University-wide by all hiring managers and search committee members.
Pros
Great customer service
Easy to tailor the platform to your needs
I love that I, as the system administrator, can make changes to the platform myself. There are only a few things that I need to have iCIMS manage for me when it comes to making system changes.
iCIMS listens to their customers and makes changes and improvements based on customer feedback.
Cons
The "source" tab that displays whether or not the job is posted could use some improving. It is configured oddly.
You cannot search by phone number in the system, meaning if someone calls, you can't look them up by their phone number.
The platform does a good job of linking email from person to person within the system, but I wish there was a way to link all correspondence around a job to the job within the platform.

iCIMS is great talent acquisition software that can be tailored to meet almost any organization's needs.

iCIMS is used primarily as our applicant tracking system and takes the applicant through the complete new hire process. We are able to prescreen all applicants and determine if we are going to move forward with them. We are able to move applicants to other job requisitions that we feel they may be better suited for. We are able to reject and offer candidates. When we offer, we are able to track their status all the way through the completed background and additional onboarding paperwork. Everything is automated and electronic, so we are no longer swimming in paperwork for every applicant. iCIMS is used across our entire company and allows us to network our applicants with other accounts if we feel they are not a good fit for us.
Pros
Applicant tracking - it allows us to keep up with their status in the entire new hire process
Ease of use - iCIMS is very user-friendly
Organization - iCIMS is very clearly labeled and organized, so you never have to search too far for someone or something
Cons
Lagging - sometimes iCIMS lags out, although that could be our server and not the system itself.
Making offers - it requires multiple steps to make an offer. You have to hit "extend offer" and then close out and reopen the offer before you can send it. Again, that could just be our setup.
Color scheme - okay, it's rather boring. Just black and white. I'd love to see it more customizable to where we can use our personality while using the system.

iCIMS is worth the investment for a large corporation. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for smaller companies. It does well if you expect a high applicant flow for every role. It may not be worth the money if you only hire one or two people per year. Definitely consider the ROI when you consider this product.
