We are using the analytics environment in the cloud for IBM, so it makes most sense to use the cloud based Dbs available. We have some structured data that is important to our analytics, and dragging it down to IBM cloud has had good success. The unstructured data that we need to work with has all the resources it needs for the various cloud Db options.
We use IBM Cloud Databases as the core for transactions for our applications, which, in turn, are sold as SaaS. Postgres as a service helps us to focus on our product, reducing maintenance and administration costs and availability.
