Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Greenhouse for applying and aggregating company applications. It addresses the problem of having to apply to many companies and keep track of the status of each.

Pros

  • The application almost never has bugs and works smoothly.
  • The UI is very well done and all tasks are articulated and displayed clearly to the user.
  • Once the applying process is complete it is clear and I'm not wondering whether there is anything else to do.

Cons

  • I'd like it if there was a way for me to sign in and see all the places I've applied and reuse information
  • Resume parsing can often be buggy and I'm better off not using it
  • Applications can be flooded with text and scrolling through all of it while trying to find the parts I need to do myself can be tedious.

Likelihood to Recommend

The space Greenhouse is in is very competitive and there are lots of applying-based services. I think for any company trying to make the applying process as easy as possible would do well with Greenhouse. The scenario I think would be not as necessary is for large companies that already are flooded with applicants, using Greenhouse may actually lead to an undesired effect of repeat applicants and too many unqualified applicants because of how simple it is.

The Greenhouse has allowed our company to provide a well-designed path for the candidates (both internal and external) to have a clear way of their evaluations. They are starting from their resumes, covering the interviewing process, and providing feedback to them until a decision has been reached. The flow and design of the tool are well-thought and easy to use.

Likelihood to Recommend

Companies with defined resources pipelines can use this tool without a problem. The HR and Capacity departments should work together to get the candidates' information uploaded to the system. All the involved departments can start the interviewing process, both initial, technical, and soft skills. Small Companies seem like a no-go.

Greenhouse is being used as a way to post and collect work/job details from a variety of applicants across the board. I've been leveraging it as a user and a moderator. It is solving the business problems of data centralization and having a single system to manage specific selective career postings and is a great way to post information on a publicly viewable board.

For organizations of every size, Greenhouse is the best tool for managing the hiring process. We appreciated the ability to track candidate survey results to make sure that we were improving on all of our HR OKRs. The ability to set fine-grained permissions ensured that nobody was blocked yet we had a secure and auditable process.

Greenhouse is used by HR and recruiting team of the company for recruitment management. Right from job requisition to referral to hiring happens through Greenhouse. Resume shortlisting to auto movement to next step happens.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Greenhouse is easy to use and has a great UI. Process flow and storage of information (resume, cover letter, candidate scoring) is very intuitive and straight forward. The search function makes it easy to find candidates and being able to at another user is helpful to notify someone of an action or if a candidate is better suited for them.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is a great tool that fulfills our needs to track hiring for the Technology stack. The overall process flow of looking at candidates, reading resumes and cover letters is great. I think some areas of improvement is the search functionality (in state vs out of state) and also if rating candidate page could be integrated better with the current process flow of the candidate vs two different links.
