GoTo Connect is a fully featured voice over IP phone system similar to RingCentral or 8 x 8 and is also bundled with additional services that can be used for troubleshooting and such as remote diagnostics. It supports a variety of standard phones that can be used for voice communications, and it also includes numerous other forms of communication such instant messaging and conferencing.
Pros
The fluffy services are standard and easy to use
The conference is fully featured and can allow you to do things that you would normally do with Zoom or other collaborative products
Cons
They could improve the variety of the telephones that are supported compared to others such as the full range of Cisco Phones in Cisco video phone
They could directly integrate with Teams, but if you already have Teams and you probably don’t need this

Go to connect is the primary form of voice and meeting communication in our company.
Pros
Soft phone software is excellent.
Meeting integration with outlook is excellent.
Screen sharing is very effective.
Cons
User interface can be confusing. First time use made it hard to find a meeting room.
The soft phone application shows indications of missed calls when the log has been cleared.

Our customer support center uses GoTo Connect softphones. This is perfect as they do not need to have a physical phone as they are doing all their work on the pc already.

We use GoTo Connect for all our communications, with Yealink phones and the mobile application we are connected from anywhere, I am amazed at the great call quality that GoTo Connect gives us. Previously we had the problem of the limitations of an analog switch due to the lack of portability, in addition to the costs involved in updating or renewing it. Without a doubt, it was our best choice to hire GoTo Connect services.
Pros
The quality of the call stands out from other telephony services
The mobility of telephone lines saves a lot of installation and relocation expenses
The cost of the service is fair for all the features it offers
The service provides connection with desk phone and mobile phone without complications
Cons
It would be great to be able to take an ongoing call from your desk phone in the mobile app
Record calls from the basic plan at least for some extensions
Improve the virtual meeting interface

GoTo Connect covers all our communication needs throughout the company, for the customer service area it helps a lot in its portability, it is not necessary to have employees in a static place since they can answer and redirect calls from anywhere. For the administrative and operational areas there is no limitation in case of having cases of work at home. I don't find any weakness to GoTo Connect
We started with Jive, and as it transitioned to GoTo Connect, then GoTo Connect we stuck with it. We use this primarily as our main phone system. All incoming calls are routed through the virtual assistant and then into the phone map. I currently have 2 locations where we use the physical desk phones and then multiple users using the phone app. We have 7 physical phones currently. When we started with Jive, we had 2 divisions within the company. A landscape division and a power washing division. We have since sold off the power washing to focus on the landscaping. We have a small office so being able to clearly and easily route the calls with the virtual assistant is a huge plus. During COVID it was easy to have our office staff work remotely as the VOIP phones are easily plugged into any internet source.
Pros
Ability to route calls, even complex multi-layer virtual assistance
Reliability is HUGE - very minimal downtime
Ease of setup and use
Plug and Play anywhere!
Cons
The app has sometimes been glitchy at least on our droids/iphones
updating older phone software to be compatible with newer features
The ability for multiple users access and respond to the texts

I like the flexibility and not having to call someone to change the system. It's easily managed by yourself. You can add or remove options in the virtual assistant and easily direct calls however you want. It's nice to be able to be flexible if employees have to work remotely, the phone can go home with them and is easily connected. Or just running the phone off the desktop app or mobile app. Voicemails are emailed to you and the same with virtual fax, it's all done via email and is super convenient. If you're looking for a basic 1 line system, this is probably not the right fit, there are cheaper and easier options... We started with OOMA but outgrew it. I just like the fact you can grow or shrink the platform to whatever you need.
All of our calls run through GoToConnect. We have 25 handsets, and the beautiful thing about this system is that it works smoothly with deskphones, mobile app, and on laptops via soft phone. This system is extremely well thought-out, and great for people who only occasionally take calls to people who live on the phone. As part of our package, we had GoToMeeting as well, so people in our org who need video calls have that as well.
Pros
Device agnostic
Desk phone integration
Cons
The text messaging is weak. No multi-department functionality. No MMS. No other messaging channels, such as Messenger, live chat, or Twitter DM
No integrations with Omni-channel messengers, which means juggling multiple windows
Likelihood to Recommend
Small businesses that need handsets will like this system. A lot of systems have to dogleg handsets into soft phones, where GoToConnect supports handsets natively. Scalable and modular, so large organizations that primarily use soft phones will be right at home with GoToConnect as well.
