We use it for everything from deal tracking to 1:1 prep, and it makes it super easy to collaborate together across our team. It’s easy to copy sheets and update the fields, making it more dynamic than Excel. I can report on metrics to leadership as well.

My department uses Google Sheets to track information such as task assignments and regulatory requirements. We also occasionally use it for data analysis and visualization. We do have a few more advanced Google Sheets that include Apps Scripts.

Google Sheets is great for just recording tabular information that needs to be shared with and/or edited by multiple people. Sharing and collaborating is especially convenient because Sheets is designed to be browser-based; while Excel has a browser version, it's limited compared to the desktop app. Google Sheets's editing, suggesting, commenting, and viewing permissions settings are absolutely perfect for my department. Google Sheets does not handle large datasets well. It does not load in a timely manner and often freezes. Apps Scripts fail to process large amounts of data.

We use Google Sheets to create scripts for conversational AI interviews. I also use Google Sheets to quality control AI training and document potential AI matching issues.

When you have a large amount of data you need to review/analyze/track, Google Sheets, in my opinion, is superior to Excel because it is more user-friendly in terms of flexibility moving the data around (drag and drop large chunks of data in rows or columns), formatting data so it is easier to read and navigate.

Google Sheets are used mainly for unofficial purposes that may or may not include sharing specific data. The informal usage includes sharing contact sheets or demo data for stories and keeping a tab of some operational duties within the team. The user-friendly access and sharing facility helps in getting access to data at a better pace.

For beginners, Google Sheet is a really nice platform to start getting used to collating data and creating easy-to-read data. I believe that college students stand to benefit from the use of Google Sheets due to its easy access and user-friendly interface. The easy to share and access ability of Google Sheets stands out amongst its competitors. The function to allow everyone with access to edit and keep a track of the real-time changes makes it easier for the team and also improves the speed. Another interesting feature that has kept Google Sheets in the second place on my list is the chart creation and visual representation features it offers.

Google Sheets is used in many different departments in my organization . Few of them which i know is HR dept, finance dept, sales dept, etc. The main problem that is taken care of is working remotely, everyone remains on same page thus less complexity and confusion while working from home.

Google Sheets can be very helpful in a small organization. Where there is less use of analytical function and only need is to store data it can be used. It is also useful for the person who is working remotely as its autosaving and online accessibility feature is helpful. It is not recommended in large organisations where data is huge and requires a lot of formulas to be applied. Also where analytical skills are required it won't work well.

We use Google Sheets for meeting notes and to organize our projects collaboratively with remote staff working in different locations. We also use Google Sheets in projects with our clients where they are able to send us updates and we can track the progress together. We also use it to create show schedules and organize our division of labour.

Great for remote teams and long-distance clients. Great way to organize work. A good way to make a schedule and share it with colleagues. Can easily see updates/changes that have been made. Can easily access your sheets on different devices. Some functions require Excel rather than sheets - specifically formulas and different accounting functions/cell formatting.

Our whole organization uses it currently. We haven't found any issues luckily and the problems it solves is we can collaborate across projects much easier.

Works for more start up companies, not those over X amount of employees

I use Google Sheets as a resources-planning tool with my colleagues. It allows us to stay organized and collaborate at the same time on a project.

I use Google Sheets with my Account Executives to plan which person will prospect into certain accounts. It makes it so easy for two people on different sides of the country to edit the same document at the same time. I use Google Sheets every day and legitimately cannot find any scenario where it would not be a useful tool. I even take notes in Sheets.

We made the switch as a whole organization about 5 years to GSuite which includes Google Sheets. We used it to replace Microsoft Office. It was an easier way for us to get everyone on the same platform after multiple acquisitions.

Google Sheets is a great alternative to Office365 at a cheaper price tag. The platform works for almost anything you would need to do within spreadsheets. However the GSuite as a whole which works with Google Hangouts as a chat tool is where the overall suite of products lacks against Office365.

It covers all the functions you would need and has a great collaboration aspect.

We use Google Sheets daily for accounting, reports and tracking. Love that we can make real-time changes with our team members and being able to use the same shortcuts as you do in Excel! Has tons of formulas and helps our entire team stay up to date and organized. We are extremely satisfied with Google Sheets and will continue to use it daily!

Google Sheets is very well suited for accounting, tracking staying on top of projects.
