I use Gemini to help summarise notes, give overviews of a topic and help with reviewing content drafts.
Pros
Proof reading content
Summarising
Assisting with drafts
Cons
Better identifying local language (user preferences can help with this) i.e. stop defaulting to US English
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for giving a brief overview of an unfamiliar product Good for proof reading drafts and offering possible amendments Not the most useful for mimicing a users tone of voice compared to other AIs I've tested for content production

We use this as our primary AI assistant. We have corporate membership to Google Gemini advanced which we extensively use to work on Google office docs, generate and analyze reports and tech docs. Also We extensively use this as a code assistant to write code for development purposes, optimize programs and find potential bugs. We also use this extensively for debugging and finding out if there is a vulnerability in the code.
Pros
Debugging code snippets
Summarizing docs and performing mathematical operations on Google sheets
Understanding simple requirements and generating code for it
Cons
Direct integration into IntelliJ IDEA or VSCode
ability to run code directly within the code snippet generator
Ability to read data directly within Github enterprise and then answer questions
ability to generate images or docs

Places where it works well.1. On demand prompt answering regarding general tech questions that you would have found answers to on google. 2. Summarizing docs.3. Finding easy bugfixes in code or fixing some easy runtime/compile time errors Places where it is less appropriate: 1. Where we need integration across multiple files , i.e if you want to reference multiple code files and then generate code. 2. If we want to do heavy-duty AI based image generation.
We use Google Gemini to do research and development in our organization. Instead of using Google Search, we now use AI tools including Google Gemini for researching for our development projects like the recent OpenStack Integration with our DR Runbook for our customer. Google Gemini helped us during by generating code and helping in debugging during implementation of OpenStack CLI as a .Net library.
Pros
Code Generation and Debugging
Code Optimization
Documentation
Cons
UI needs improvement
Better Code Generation needed for Microsoft.Net
Improved Answer Accurracy

Google Gemini is best suited for software development tasks like integration with Google products such as Google Workspace and general-purpose code generation. Google Gemini might not be best suited for Microsoft .NET developers. Gemini can generate C# syntax and general .NET code but it lacks deeper understanding of some Microsoft .NET libraries.

I use Google Gemini to buy me some time with tasks that cost me a lot of time, like writing feedback. I just add the most important information and ask Google Gemini to provide an specific feedback with an action plan and the app delivers me. I just need to review.
Oh, I also use the Google Gemini translation. It's very, very good.
I even recall using it to learn more about new tendencies and products, or how to use some programs like Excel or functions into it.
Pros
Translate languages
Deliver responses quickly
Learns fast
Gives us answers with a lot of context
Cons
Missing ability to create images - it would be awesome doing it. Currently, we need to go to another places to do that, and that's sad because we wanted to stick in one place only.
Sometimes it give us inaccurate answers, especially when we add levels of info during a conversation. There was one time that I asked for a Top 10 of movies directed by women, and it delivered me Tarantino movies.
It avoids delivering answers that can be seeing as "polemic", especially related to politics. This sometimes bothers the user because we cannot have an answer. There was one time I requested for the worst American presidents and Gemini refused to answer that.

I will not rate it as 10 because 10 would be perfection. But I'm rating as 8 because it is only of the best AI apps out there (at least the best I used) due to its fast answers full of context and a communication style that's really easy to understand. But the points mentioned earlier prevents Google Gemini for being better.
