Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Google Cloud CDN comes with the package of Google Cloud and it is one of the fastest CDN available in the market. We are using Google Cloud CDN to host most of our static content and serve that content in secured methods. Using their Load Balancers and SSL, we can easily rely on Google Cloud CDN.

Pros

It is one of the most secure and fastest CDN available globally.
It helps in improving the performance of the website or web-apps.
It drastically reduces the latency, so the loading time of the content is reduced as well.
It allows using SSL for improved Security and serving the content using the HTTPS protocol.

Cons

Their support system is not competitive and takes a huge time generally.
Setting up for the first time might be a little complex thing for beginners.
Documentation needs so many updates and improvements.

Likelihood to Recommend

Google Cloud CDN is available globally and supports various load balancers available in different regions around the globe, so I find Google Cloud CDN as one of the best choices for CDN as it serves globally and it is really fast, safe, and secure. It might be not suitable for you if you do not have any technical background.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Google Cloud CDN for serving static resources on our website. This has helped us to get faster response times across the globe and helps in making the website page speed score higher. Marketing website development team uses it and is happy with the overall functionality available in Google Cloud CDN.

Pros

Integrates easily with Google Cloud VMs.
Works with the Global Load Balancers as backend.
Worldwide POPs help in faster speed.

Cons

Unable to use any kind of code to show different content.
Absence of cloud workers as provided by Cloudfront, Cloudflare and Akamai.
No support for dynamic routing.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited if you are looking for a traditional CDN which can serve static images, CSS, JS really fast. But if you are planning to use any of the new age features, or are trying to setup any kind of dynamic requests via the CDN, then Google Cloud CDN will not work well.

Its best for organizations utilizing Google Cloud products like Google cloud storage. It also helps to enhance overall security measures for a web presence online.

Google Cloud CDN works really well with other Google cloud platform produces like Google Cloud Storage.
Users of Google services will have an easier learning curve.
The service can really enhance the overall speed of websites and platforms online.

Cons

For some, there may be a lack of support for some needs like training or specialty issues involving security.
The product can be difficult for some network administrators or web managers to utilize. It's not meant to be an easy product to use at first glance.
Overall, it works well to improve website loads and interactions. However, its pricing structure for some smaller companies may keep it a little out of their budget range.

Likelihood to Recommend

Google Cloud CDN works great as a tool to manage and accelerate web platforms and services. Its enhancements can greatly outweigh its training and budgetary costs for smaller organizations. For some businesses or organizations, the product may be an overkill if they have simple web hosting or service needs. Smaller organizations with limited in-house staff may find the product difficult to implement and utilize without hiring additional support.
