Forcepoint is being used to inspect web content which helps to prevent users from accessing inappropriate websites and security risks while browsing the internet. We also use it on our Cloud infrastructure for behavioral and analytics and data loss prevention. It solves many problems for our organization in terms of keeping things secure.

Cons

Scenarios where you have people working remotely dealing with sensitive material.
In our company we have over 3,000 employees and due to current circumstances with Covid-19 most of our employees are working from home or remotely. We use Forcepoint to keep our users secure. We use Forcepoint Web Security across our whole organization. Forcepoint addresses the problem with the blocking of bad/unwanted websites that may have malicious software. I'm actually glad to have Forcepoint installed in our organization. It definitely helps me sleep better at night.
Pros
Bock URL.
Whitelist websites.
Protect users from anywhere they are connected.
Cons
Reporting.
Executive summary.
Notification to administrator.
Likelihood to Recommend
Forcepoint all the way around is a very good web security tool. In my opinion is well suited for organizations that have multiple remote sites in the states and around the world. Given that you can manage the whole organization from the cloud, I believe a company will benefit from using Forcepoint web security. Scenarios where it may be less appropriate and the company could possibly save money by going with something simpler, could be a small company. A single office company with no remote users. I strongly believe Forcepoint will still work well for this type of companies, however the company would not be taking advantage of all the Forcepoint Web Security benefits.

My Systems Administrator and I use ForcePoint Web Security daily. We use it for monitoring and filtering web usage company-wide. And that is exactly the business problem it addresses. Ensuring that hundreds of users are safely and responsibly using the web. Its dashboard and reports alert us to problems before they get out of hand.
Pros
It gives us a high-level snapshot of what are users are doing online.
It allows us to have a generous Acceptable Use Policy because we know that abuses will be easy to spot.
It gives us a way to allow temporary access to otherwise blocked sites.
Cons
Its tools for creating policies and exceptions is confusing in certain areas.
Some of its online help topics don't provide as much detail as we would like.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is suited for any company that needs to monitor web usage and block sites that are dangerous or inappropriate. I honestly cannot think of any scenarios where Forcepoint Web Security isn't a valuable tool.

We use Web Security to control access by users to the internet. It is employed across the company with various policies and restrictions in place. It helps reduce the attack surface of the company by allowing us to restrict access to troublesome categories, sure, but also by a customized URL blacklist/whitelist where applicable. It also helps to reduce the potential for litigation thanks to the blocking of various content, protocols, file downloads, etc.
Pros
Easy deployment.
An easy to use interface.
Cons
The SIEM connector still isn't available, but should be.
User image searches aren't as easy to follow, in the case of policy enforcement and whatnot.
Likelihood to Recommend
This product is useful when you have to control access to various categories, websites, or restrict various users while allowing others. It is very scalable. This product is not as useful in more open environments where the web is generally considered 'open' by the staff, or in closed, very secure environments where the internet isn't available.
We have used Forcepoint (starting with Websense and Triton) for numerous years for URL filtering and web security across the organization to control and protect URL/Internet access across the organization. This product has met our needs. We are currently migrating to the cloud and investigating DLP.
Pros
Internet Filtering and Protection
Web Security Protection
Cons
Reporting ease of use
Development of stronger documentation to assist in reporting
Likelihood to Recommend
Forcepoint is well suited for the specific tasks that it performs, e.g. web and content filtering as well as web security. We are evaluating the other aspects of the Forcepoint toolsets to see how they enhance our portfolio. It is appropriate for all of our current scenarios.

Within our company, we use Forcepoint Web Security as part of our total online security strategy. It is used in our entire EMEAR-wide organization. All of our main user internet traffic is proxied through
the Forcepoint Web Security program. Forcepoint Web security is used as an SSL inspecting
proxy, scanning all traffic (inbound and outbound) for malicious content. The main advantage for our environment is the granular
delegation of its administration which is assigned via the active directory. We allow local departments to implement their own rule sets besides the mandatory rule set which is dictated at a corporate level.
Pros
Delegated administration.
Single management interface for web, data and email security.
Cloud integration.
Cons
New products are sometimes released to market before they are fully evaluated.
The first implementation requires a lot of attention, especially the sizing of the platform, but once it's all set up its smooth sailing.
Likelihood to Recommend
Forcepoint Web Security can be used in all environments where you would want to
make sure that your users don’t spend time browsing malicious sites or downloading malicious
content. It can also be used to prevent access to other unwanted resources like
streaming media, file share locations, etc. In my opinion, it's less useful if you rely on old technology
like Java, or proprietary software, which cannot handle authenticating proxy
servers. Also, if you rely heavily on end to end encryption, it needs
more configuration and maintenance.
