FloQast is a financial close management solution primarily used by accounting teams to streamline month-end close processes and manage reconciliations. In TrustRadius reviews, users leverage its structured checklists and real-time visibility to ensure no steps are missed, often integrating it with existing tools like Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. A dominant strength cited is its ability to significantly reduce the time required for the close, with some users reporting reductions of "a couple weeks at least."
Reviewers also appreciate its audit readiness tools, which improve documentation organization and allow direct auditor access, fostering better team collaboration. However, some users encountered challenges with integrating subledger data for automated reconciliations and noted limitations in task setup flexibility, particularly for mass edits of recurring checklists. Despite these areas for improvement, the platform consistently delivers positive ROI through enhanced efficiency and visibility.

FloQast helps me stay organized and prioritize my tasks during the month. It reminds me when items are due or late. I like that it keeps files related to the close process in organized folders. This helps us when we have audits. FloQast notifies you when reconciliations are off balance in case someone makes changes after you have closed the period. It gives the user an accurate and timely view of the reconciliations. It's very user friendly and information is updated quickly every time you refresh. I highly recommend it.
Pros
Reminds you of tasks that are coming up due
Refreshes quickly
It's easy to use
Cons
Sometimes it doesn't refresh and I have to come back to it later in the day
At first, it was hard to find the folders and tasks assigned to me because I wasn't familiar with the filters
Likelihood to Recommend
It makes the close process easy and it allows upper management visibility of where we are in the process

FloQast has added a lot of transparency to our
close process and helped us manage workflows and workloads of staff. We can
easily see any bottlenecks as well as regularly late submissions to help
support those areas of the business. We can also hold members of the business
directly accountable tasks and reconciliations, which we never had the ability
to do in the past with too many moving parts. We have deep-dived into our close
process and streamlined many of our reconciliations for ease of use as well as
adding a lot of consistency that was never in place beforehand. After only one
quarter from our full launch, the team is full of nothing but compliments for
the software and I am sure we will continue to utilize the system to its full capabilities
and make further progress in reducing the time taken for our close process.
Pros
Transparency
Provides great analytics
Organized structure fully customizable for the needs of the business
Documents all stored in one central place, accessible from anywhere
Cons
Unsure as we are still early in our journey
Likelihood to Recommend
Notification system is great for "ready to review" or reconciliations that have gone out of balance. It means you can jump direct to the tasks in questions and tackle them head-on. Recorded review points giving full transparency of the close process, these are all recorded as is a great communication tool between team members. It has helped reduce our close time already by around half a day and we are hoping to see more benefits as time progresses.
We use FloQast as our closing control system. We use the checklists to guide our work and set deadlines. We use the reconciliations to tie out our accounts as month and year end. We use the system as our primary document storage for accounting and finance work papers.
Pros
Manages deadlines
Visibility to assigned work tasks and their completeness
Organizes all closing related information in to one easy to access portal
Cons
Sub checklists within checklist items.
Task Dependecies
The ability to mark a check list item as skipped if not completed for some reason.
Likelihood to Recommend
The platform is easy to use to organized and control closing tasks across multiple entitles and staff members.

FloQast is used as a close management tool. Our team actively uses the checklist, reconciliation and flux analysis tools on a regular basis. Checklist are used to manualize the close process. Reconciliations are used as a key control for sox compliance. Finally, flux analysis are also used as a way to review our work and provide important insights to management. Flux analysis are also a key control in sox compliance. Our team also uses Remind and have used AutoRec in the past. Remind is a great tool to take items of our teams "to-do" list to allow them to focus on more critical tasks.
Pros
Customer support
Constantly adding new features
Soliciting customer feedback for improvements
Manage close timeline
Cons
Flux tool is slow based on our templates
Flux tool needs a dashboard
Make analytic dashboards easier to use
Likelihood to Recommend

FloQast allows us to manage our MEC checklist and provides SOX compliant signs offs on our MEC checklist items and balance sheet reconciliations. It is also a great tool for our monthly balance sheet flux. It is not currently able to support our income statement flux due to our department structure. FloQast syncs directly with our ERP (NetSuite) and Dropbox.
Pros
SOX compliant sign-offs
Balance sheet reconciliations sync directly with ERP
Ease of use
Can easily rollforward files each month
Cons
More customization for income statement flux feature
Likelihood to Recommend
FloQast is well suited for companies of nearly any size. It may not be appropriate if your ERP is not currently supported.

I use FloQast to ensure all payroll items are addressed and completed prior to me closing out payroll. Prior to using FloQast me and my manager would have to connect several times prior to closing payroll to make sure all items were completed. We now make our notes in FloQast which eliminates us having to meet in order to close out payroll.
Pros
Gives you options to add task that are important to you and your team.
Allows your team to make notes, rather than having to email or slack you.
Great check off list
Send reminders when you have missed a task
Cons
Currently I have nothing that I see to be an issue for me.
WHEN RECEIVING EMAILS REGARDING MISSED ITEMS IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO FIND THE MISSED ITEMS
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for any team looking to streamline a process and have the ability to add and take away task as needed. Allow all team players to review and respond to task as needed. Receive emails to confirm when you have a task or when someone has completed your task.

FloQast provides us the ability to track the progress of our close; tasks, journal entries, SOX controls, reconciliations, and flux analysis. Floqast also provides us with an organized storage system that is intuitive to track down files. Through the years, Floqast has taken feedback from users and has been able to implement recommendations, such as being able to select multiple periods.
We use FQ for our month end close procedures. It has been a great tool that allows us to ensure we are completing all recons and tasks.
Pros
Ensuring Completeness
Visibility as to where the close is at
Amortization and Auto Rec
Cons
They are adding a FA feature, which is great
Likelihood to Recommend
FQ is great for month end close. In the past, we would have changes to the TB and we wouldn't always remember to go back and check our recons. With FQ, if any recons are signed off and go out of balance, you get notifications telling you to go back and check your recon.
