Fund transfer issues make them a complete no-go

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a nonprofit youth theatre organization and have used Flipcause for the last ten years to receive donations, sell tickets to our productions, and conduct registrations for our classes and workshops.

Pros

  • Easy to set up campaigns
  • Easy to run reports
  • Fulfills all our needs (Box Office, Registration, Donations)

Cons

  • You have to contact them multiple times to get them to give you your money.
  • It generally takes at least a month to get funds from them to you.
  • They take a really long time to respond to support emails, if they respond at all.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are doing this for fun, and don't actually need the money that you raise through Flipcause, they're great, but if you need the funds to, say, run payroll or pay rent, do not even THINK of using them. You will spend a lot of time tearing your hair out, and sending yet another email begging them to transfer funds.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Flipcause is the online platform I use to receive donations for my not-for-profit organization. I stayed with them for several years because they were cheap. However, they have upped their pricing significantly within the past year or so. The bigger problem with Flipcause is the delay between when funds are posted to the account and when they are deposited in the bank. Around 2 months has not been uncommon recently. Relatively high costs and slow service.

  • There were no problems with receiving donations

Cons

  • The biggest problem was the delay on receiving funds
  • Complaints seemed to take plenty of time to be addressed

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses Flipcause for most aspects of our fundraising including collecting online donations (one time and recurring), selling tickets to fundraising events, and keeping track of donors (donor CRM). It is great to have all of these services in one place that is both easy to use and integrates seamlessly with our website.

Pros

  • Flipcause has a great user interface for donors.
  • Flipcause sends customizable donation receipts.
  • Flipcause easily integrates with our website.
  • Flipcause has great customer service.

Cons

  • The functionality is great, but setting up a fundraising campaign the first time can be time consuming and confusing. However, they have customer service staff who can help you or who will set up the campaign for you from start to finish.
  • You must click "save" each time you open a section of your campaign even if you haven't made any changes. This can be a bit annoying, but I suppose the feature is there to prevent changes from being lost or unwanted changes from being saved.

Likelihood to Recommend

Flipcause has been great for our organization and donors report good experiences using the platform. It has been fantastic for our annual fundraiser, as we can sell tickets, get volunteers to sign up, solicit donations, contact all ticket purchasers, and more very easily.
