I am a pastor and using Dropbox allows me to easily work from a variety of devices and locations. If I am needing to work in a hospital waiting room, from home, or from my office, I'm able to stay connected to my files. Additionally, I can easily share items with others on the staff and within the church.
Pros
It backs up my files, which has saved me more times than I'd care to admit!
I can easily share files with others!
I can revisit previous versions of a document.
I can work from anywhere!
Cons
I'd like to be able to see version history without having to go to the website.

Dropbox has been helpful professionally, but also personally. My husband and I have a "shared file" where we put important documents for our family. He can access schedules and other important kid-items from his work and I can from mine. It also helps us keep our major purchase receipts in one place, which helps during tax time.
I use Dropbox to share files with the volunteers who assist in facilitating our programs. Dropbox allows me to send large files and videos that can be shared in a classroom setting. This is essential for sustainability and real-time document creation and updates. Dropbox is crucial to the success of our efforts!
Pros
Document sharing.
Large file sharing.
Instant updates.
Cons
I would like to see dropbox better integrate with my contact list.

This has been answered already in the previous question.
We use Dropbox to share photos and documents among the leaders of my faith community. It's easier to upload files to Dropbox than to email them, especially when dealing with large documents. However, the downside is that some members do not have a paid subscription, which restricts their access to the shared materials to the shared materials.
Pros
save documents
allows sharing large files
allows for a number of people to have access to documents
Cons
cost can be prohibitive
gaining permission to access isn't always easy
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for situations where a number of folks need to access a document. The ability to upload large files which may not be able to be emailed.
It is less appropriate for sharing person files and for those who do not have a subscription

We heavily depend upon Dropbox to maintain files across our organization, which is a primarily remote workplace. It also allows us to edit files simultaneously. I essentially use it as my main storage location for all of my files. I often use it to send linked files to people outside of our organization as well.
Pros
share files
edit files
store files
convert file types
Cons
I think the notification system could be done better.

It is great for a team that is working together, but remotely. It can be tricky when sharing files with people outside of your team. It also requires a bit of tech savvy for everyone involved so that files do not become misorganized, etc.
We use Dropbox to sync our church files between our office computers and our devices and laptops. it helps us work from different areas and drop everything in a box in the clous. it helps us stay organized and productive.
Pros
Organizes files
Keeps files secure
great for backing up data
Cons
The settings are sometimes hard to find. we often waste time trying to find certain settings to tweak the product.

For us and what we use Dropbox for, it suits our needs perfectly. we can work from different station and collaborate without having to exchange thumb drives etc
To share review and download media with clients and members of my organization safety and securely. Also to use as a hub or sort of database to store this media for years to come in case it ever needs to be used again. In other instances, signing documents or other important forms
Pros
Sharing media quickly
Keeping media secure
Only allowing those who’s email addresses are added to view or edit the media
Cons
Allowing special characters in the titles of folders
Faster upload speeds
Ability to organize while uploads are uploading
Likelihood to Recommend
While Dropbox is a paid option over Google drive, I do prefer it. It offers a clean cut and concise to the point version of what my organization needs while allowing us to collaborate together safely and securely.

I completely depend on Dropbox and Dropbox Passwords for reliable redundant backups and storage for my most important files.
Pros
Drag and drop transfer of files from my PC or Mac to any Dropbox folder
Automatic backups of both internal hard drives and external sources such as USB drives
Automatic syncing of photos from all my cloud based devices to Dropbox Photos
Easy and secure management of passwords with domain aware logins.
Cons
I would like to have a way to "trigger" individual file backups so I don't have to manually copy them to the exact Dropbox folder each time.
It would be useful to "tag" photos so they are categorized when synced with Dropbox Photos.
Allow for a full backup image so I can easily restore a PC or Mac when the hard drive needs to be replaced.
Offer lower "tier" programs for individuals who do not need much storage space, and maybe even productize Dropbox Passwords and other feature enhancements as add-ons. However, continue to offer "package" deals.

I will typically create a file and store it on my local hard drive, then copy it both to a physical external storage device then finally to Dropbox. Once there, I can retrieve the file from another device such as my tablet or alternate PC for complete redundancy. I have also come to rely on Dropbox Passwords for securely retaining all my passwords and other sensitive information.
we use it to store and share documents, photos, and videos. We are musicians who are performing and so need to create lots of advertising material. We also use it to store our backing tracks and sheet music.
Pros
It’s really easy to find your files once you’ve saved them. It’s also really easy to share documents with people inside and outside the organisation. It’s also nice to know that your documents and other files are secure.
Cons
I have a little bit of difficulty when sharing things on my phone. If someone sends me a link to Dropbox it asks me would I like to open the Link in Dropbox. When I say yes, it takes me to the App Store, if I open the app the link isn’t there. I’m not sure what’s going on here.
Likelihood to Recommend
Dropbox is great when you have multiple people who need to be able to look at the same document. It’s also wonderful when you have Large files that you need to share with people. It’s not always great when you’ve got people working on the same document in real time as there is a risk that your work will be overridden by theirs.

I am a consultant and I store shared folders and all of my business files on Dropbox.
Pros
Easy access from any place
Keeps files on my computer and automatically updates the folders in the cloud.
Cons
Sharing folders - seems like people always get it in junk mail
Stop sending people messages that their Dropbox is almost full. Clients should need their own Dropbox to share files. You're scaring them and making them think they need more storage than they do. This bad experience is getting in the way of adopting more clients. If they don't have the space, just tell them to access it online. There is big confusion over person accounts and people being able to see and access shared folders.

I think it's a great system. But I'm a small business. I don't know what challenges larger businesses may have. I love the fact that my files are stored on my computer and automatically updated online without me having to do anything.
