DocuSign has become a tool, for our Sales Operations team helping us tackle business issues like lengthy sales cycles, compliance hurdles and inefficiencies in costs. It goes beyond sales. Has a positive impact, on other departments as well promoting teamwork and streamlining processes throughout the organization. The fact that we can access it on devices and integrate it smoothly into our operations has significantly improved our ability to adapt to the changing business environment. It has proven to be a game-changer for us, enabling us to operate more efficiently, close deals faster, and remain compliant in a highly competitive market.

DocuSign is a valuable tool for electronic signatures and compliance requirements, especially for remote work. Nevertheless, it may not be the optimal choice for intricate legal documents or cases where manual signatures are preferred. Furthermore, the seamless integration of the Gmail plugin with our Gmail account allows us to initiate the signing process from our email platform itself. This plugin also assists in selecting recipients from our Gmail contacts, making the process more seamless and efficient.

We use DocuSign to send envelopes (i.e. contracts) for signature by our clients.

Pros

It's been a terrible experience so far
The core product is okay (not great) but the service and pricing are terrible

Cons

We were constantly passed around between service reps for even the simplest queries. For example, I told them I'm on a web plan and need to upgrade to a corporate plan and they routed me to a new customer AE who only realized after 2 discovery calls and many emails that I had a web plan already, at which point he told me I had to restart the whole process
Calls wouldn't be returned and reps would miss scheduled meetings. Booked at 10 am meeting and completely ghosted
Next steps/plans would be agreed on and then we would receive an email a day later doing the exact opposite of what we discussed
This was all happening while we had an issue with our existing plan so clearly, there was no respect for customer urgency. I could keep going because the list of service issues is honestly too long to write
On top of horrible service, they are by far the highest option out of any other companies we spoke to (Adobe, HelloSign, etc.). This is a legacy business going downhill fast and I encourage you to stay far away.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you work for the government and you are used to working with incredibly bureaucratic and slow-to-respond groups, then maybe Docusign is a good fit.

Docusign is being used at an organization level. It does help us with a lot of things like easy to put signatures, tracking the record of signatures .It does solve a lot of problems as because of this pandemic it is not preferable to meet everyone these days and people are working from home and getting the documents signed has been a difficult process but with DOcusign it becomes very easy to get the signatures.

Used DocuSign across the sales organization to send customers order forms, contracts, NDAs, etc. It addressed the need to have valid digital signatures applied to a variety of legal documents. Also used DocuSign for internal employee documents such as stock option grants, onboarding documentation, quarterly bonus documentation, etc.

DocuSign is an excellent enterprise-grade tool. Sometimes, for smaller companies, it may be a bit too much functionality than what is needed. However, with DocuSign as the primary or only digital signature tool, you would be fully equipped with all of the different options you may need.

DocuSign was used by the billing department to complete supplier paperwork that customers needed to have us submit to them. It helps us in the administrative side of work to complete paperwork quickly, correctly and efficiently.

We primarily utilize Docusign internally to electronically sign documents, agreements, and contracts.

A major goal of our company is to be as paperless as possible so DocuSign allows us the opportunity to work towards this goal by allowing documents to be signed electronically.

It also helps to prevent documents having to be printed out for signature and kept in a physical file folder or being lost/stolen/etc. Just safer to enable electronic signatures, especially with sensitive documents.

It's hard to really think of an inappropriate situation for DocuSign, especially in the world we live in now. It's harder to see people in person thus harder to get hand signed documents. Plus, why go through all the rigmarole of hand-signing a document? Printing, signing, sending back, scanning, that's a lot of work compared to e-mail, e-sign, auto-send the document back. Just makes more sense in a remote world. For example, I don't even have a printer at home so if I needed to print work documents, I wouldn't have any way of doing so. Just so much easier to open up DocuSign and sign off that way.

We use DocuSign mainly in sales and marketing. We send all agreements and contracts, as well as other documents that need fields completed and signatures. We have two users who use it most. DocuSign addresses the issue of having to print, sign, scan, and return documents. It makes it easy to send once to all signing parties and then each party receives a final signed copy. No fuss. It saves time and makes the process of signing anything more efficient and streamlined.

Allows me to create templates that are used often, like agreements
Fields are easy to add and customize
DocuSign manages the process and sends reminders to parties to complete
Takes the stress of managing signatures and processes off me

Cons

It would be nice to be able to mass send documents to multiple people that have to sign individual documents instead of sending a document to each one

Likelihood to Recommend

I think DocuSign is well suited to most businesses. It can even be used by individuals that want to have anything signed. I dont' think it has to be exclusive to businesses.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We work with several customers and vendors in legal, sales, and IT whose primary platform of distributing contracts and agreements is DocuSign. As such, DocuSign is simply being used by a handful of individuals all throughout the organization. It gives the org a really seamless way to execute contracts in a swift, painless, and--most importantly--secure way.

Pros

Simple, clean, clear user interface.
Easy to follow instructions.
Contracts and agreements can be executed in 5 actions or less.

Cons

Genuinely, DocuSign performs so well that I have trouble thinking of areas where it could improve. The only thing I can think of is maybe more affordable enterprise licensing. As good products grow their customer base and popularity, they tend to get more expensive.

Likelihood to Recommend

Executing contracts and agreements is where DocuSign shines, and that is where I would recommend it be primarily used. These can be contracts or SOWs with customers, clients, legal entities, or vendors, which is who we have used DocuSign with the most.

It doesn't seem to be as suited for internal use, such as HR acknowledgement forms or acceptable use policies. I think if you have platforms that integrate with your HR software, you should use those instead.

Our company uses DocuSign to send electronic retainers to our clients so that we may represent them in various areas of our law practice. Since we operate in different areas of law, we have different agreement documents that must be sent out and completed by each individual client.

Makes it easy to generate and send docs to clients.
Easy for clients to sign.
Allows multiple documents to be sent.
Allows a variety of document templates to be created and stored.
Creates an electronic paper trail.
Easy to stay organized.

Cons

Make documents textable.
Create an HTML link to sign or review docs.
Create feature that allows users to create end store e-signature.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would recommend DocuSign because it saves time and money. You don’t have to worry about sending a document to your client and never receiving it back. You don’t have to pay for postage and use unreliable snail mail services. It’s easy to follow up on the document and keep track of it.
