In many sectors and industries it is necessary to maintain a program like this, DocuSign is a good fit, I'm not sure whether it's completely utilized in these sectors, but the financial and healthcare sectors are trailing behind in terms of technology and business procedures, respectively. In many industries, outdated practices are holding them back or creating inefficiencies.

Cons
Ability to view past signed documents

We use SpringCM as a contract repository and as a tracker for renewal/termination/expiration date tracker. It is used by the legal department but supports the entire organization. We had a problem locating contracts, determining which contracts were in effect and missing key renewal or termination deadlines.
Pros
You can easily find contracts once you put them in the system.
Can set up your own contract attributes.
Support is fantastic.
Cons
Does not automatically convert contracts into searchable text.
Need to manually set up reminders which leaves room for human error.
No easy way to see what terms we have agreed to in other contracts.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want to use SpringCM with Salesforce it seems like this program is perfect for that integration. If you want to use it as just a contract repository and/or reminder tracker, there are probably better options.
