Perfect password managing application

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As part of a cloud engineering team, we use a lot of different passwords and it is impossible to remember them all. So we need to have a solution, like Devolutions Password Hub, to store our passwords safely in a secure vault. Devolutions Password Hub does exactly that, it stores our passwords in a centralized vault, which each of our team members are able to use to create remote sessions with Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager or by accessing websites. Each team member also has his own private vault, where he can store his private/personal information which is not team-related. We are very pleased with Devolutions Password Hub

Pros

  • Multiple team vaults
  • Seperate personal vaults
  • Strong password generator
  • Multiple types of entries

Cons

  • Honestly, nothing ! If any, I would say adding more types of entries

Most Important Features

  • Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager integration
  • multiple vaults
  • personal vaults
  • multiple entry types
  • web browser extensions

Return on Investment

  • It saves us a lot of time searching for passwords which are scattered all over the company.

Rises Above Other Password Managers

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've always been skeptical and unsure of using password managers due to the fact that if the vault is cracked, everything is compromised. With Password Hub, although that is still the case (as with any password manager), I feel the product itself is more secure and robust than other products available in the same product area.

Pros

  • Securely stores users' passwords
  • Is a stable, reliable platform
  • Customer support is responsive to feedback

Cons

  • Overall, it works well as is

Return on Investment

  • Password managers in general can leave a company feeling "overly" secure.
