We have implemented Crownpeak DXM for our client's organizations. This includes the development of websites, campaign sites, etc. Crownpeak DXM allows us to design, develop, manage and publish content across multiple channels, and in multiple languages in a very rapid and agile manner. From an architecture standpoint, Crownpeak DMS supports headless and server-rendered architectures which are nice to have that flexibility. In either approach, Crownpeak DMS handles taking care of CMS security, applying patches, performing upgrades, etc. One business challenge that Crownpeak DXM is a great fit for is when organizations need a complementary CMS in order to handle quickly changing needs that might otherwise not be accomplished on their primary CMS.
Pros
Speed and agility of developing solutions
Headless architecture
Support for latest security and privacy rules
Cons
Content taxonomy has a learning curve

Crownpeak DXM is a great solution if you are looking for a flexible platform that allows engineers to quickly develop while also making it easy for content authors to work especially in scenarios where you need multi-language support. It is also good for scenarios where you want a cloud-based solution and are looking for just one vendor to handle hosting and offer the CMS.
Crownpeak offers the best in class suite of options as a CMS that connects our technology stack together. The ability to manage a website's front end with speed and agility is second to none. The Crownpeak team is also a wonderful group of people who have been easy to work with. I would highly recommend considering their platform.
Pros
Offering a selection of best in class partner solutions.
Speed and agility when deploying assets or campaigns.
High quality customer service.
Cons
None that I can think of

Crownpeak DXM is well suited for financial businesses that have a lot of content they need to manage and deploy, as well as for retailers who have a large catalog of products and content they need to merchandise. Crownpeak DXM may not make sense for smaller or growing brands that have a limited catalog of products and content.
We implemented Crownpeak DXM for our customers. Over the last many years, we have worked on different types of CMSs and have found that none of them are truly SaaS + allow for both server-rendered and pure decoupled builds. Crownpeak allows for both and without any worry about CMS security, patches, upgrades, etc. Crownpeak is very agile, customizable, and easy to implement. Above all, the Content Management experience is one of the best. With Crownpeak, moving content from one environment to another can be achieved at individual page level/asset levels and without any IT involvement/database syncs. Crownpeak allows the content manager to create new pages in a lower environment, as well as manage content and quickly move it through the review process. Once approved, they themselves can push the same page to higher environment/production without re-entering the same content in the new environment. Imagine the same with other CMSs where you would have needed to re-enter the same content again in the new environment. This becomes more practical when your site is already in production and marketing is active with new changes every other day. With Crownpeak, you don't re-do the same content changes again and again in different environments. At the same time, your developers (content writers) can simultaneously keep test content in lower environments without the worry of it spilling over to the higher environment. Speed of implementation, agility, and a great Content Management experience is what Crownpeak DXM stands for, in comparison to other CMSs.
Pros
Content Management
Decoupled as well as server-rendered builds
Truly SaaS
Cons
AI-driven WCO snippets
Likelihood to Recommend
Crownpeak DXM is best suited for organizations that use both server-rendered and decoupled builds. It is also suited for organizations looking for a multi-site setup with sharable content across all sites and different domain names. You will not be able to make the most of the CMS if you are doing a one-off site with fewer pages and less frequent content changes.
Crownpeak DXM allows us to help our clients deliver digital experiences quickly and seamlessly. True SaaS model that takes away the worry of upgrades as the features and security will always be up to date. A great solution for multi-brand, multi-language organizations looking to publish a piece of content to various sites at once.
Pros
Flexible.
Quick turn around time to deployment.
Easy to use.
Cons
Always room for improvement with speed/performance.
Likelihood to Recommend

As a digital consulting agency, we provide technology development for a variety of pharma clients. We recommend and deploy Crownpeak DXM as an enterprise solution for efficient and effective content and asset management and website development. Our most current deployment is for an international bio technology firm. We have deployed Crownpeak as the content management solution across the entire enterprise and across all brands. The benefits include content and asset re-use, reduced maintenance and support costs, and measurably faster times to market. Our last three deployments have have included multiple brands, within the same company. The ability to leverage the Component Library, adn re-use standardized componets, has been a huge advantage. In terms of speed to market and reduced cost of ownership.
Pros
Component re-use.
Scalable platform.
Very robust suite of development and post-development tools.
Excellent training and support.
Built-in support for IP management and geo fencing
Multi-language support
A-B comparisons of designs
Cons
Additional integrations with 3rd party tools and systems.

Crownpeak DXM is best for enterprise-wide, cross-department implementations.
Crownpeak DXM is less suitable for deployments of 3 or fewer websites.
At EffVision we work on website development for clients in variety of industries. We offer Crownpeak as a solution to our clients. It allows for development of secure and scalable website and hosting services. It also shortens the process of site development. We can trust that our customers receive high quality, secure platforms.
Pros
Speed- the development process is much shorter
Security- high regulatory compliance
Eliminates the need for infrastructure
Cons

We like that Crownpeak is cloud based. Launching with them is so much quicker than the on-premise solutions that are currently on the market.
Crownpeak DXM is used to host and manage our main websites. It allows us devs to create rich templates and at the same time allows content managers to change the content without having to get the engineering team involved.
Pros
Ease of changing content
Can create multiple types of pages from a single template
Manage files in one place
Cons
Templates are hard to design; only developers really can interact with the templates
Need a better way to allow marketing teams to design quick templates, like drag-and-drop designer
Takes some time to get used to different features
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for medium-level websites in my opinion. I believe the more complicated and advanced a site is, the harder it will be to maintain in Crownpeak DXM. This is well suited for environments where design does not drastically change a lot but content is updated more often. It is appropriate in most cases but takes some time to learn.

We use Crownpeak DXM for website design and build implementations for our client's customer marketing in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Crownpeak delivers on our core customer marketing principles - European GDPR compliance, and the principle of capturing customer data as part of transparent value exchange is baked into the platform. Their partner relationship and technical roles understand what marketers need from a WCMs investment. We're able to collaborate with them to tailor solutions for client best-fit. DXM is composable too, so we have the flexibility of integrations with several best-of-breed APIs across CRM, PIM, DAM, Commerce already in place. The SaaS model, means we get version updates with new features and functions without our developers getting involved in integration and update tasks. We know exactly what year-on-year platform costs will be, so we can plan content marketing and CRM budgets - rather than spending time and money on developer tasks associated with version updates.
Pros
Due to the headless nature of the platform, publishing is super fast straight to HTML.
One repository of content capable of feeding different applications across different languages.
Flexibility of integrations fits well with the compossible enterprise model
Cons
Back end look and feel is a little dated, could do with some updating on interface design.
Navigating content tree's can be a little long winded with deeper content sites, although it's hard to see a way around this.
Likelihood to Recommend
Crownpeak DXM is particularly well suited to customer-centric CX Driven digital implementations. It has plenty of 'out the box' features which we use on a regular basis with our clients, but it also acts like a headless CMS with the ability to share content across different platforms and integrate with 'best of breed' CRM, PIM, Commerce tools for example. We work closely with Crownpeak to scope and define CX driven solutions for our clients, and it's especially useful when we need to be interoperable with other systems and tools in the customer communications and digital business toolkit. We've used it in B2C commerce situations, in B2B closed environments, and with brands with large volume product inventory management.
We use the Crownpeak DXM platform with one of our large utility clients to power their marketing sites and customer portals.
Pros
Seamless upgrades and enhancements. In true Saas fashion, you don't have to worry about what version your software is on, as you are always on the latest.
Highly performant. Allows you to create extremely lightweight applications that have no load time and snappy performance.
Cons
The admin UI takes a little getting used to for new users.
Likelihood to Recommend
I recommend it in any ecosystem where you need to manage content across multiple channels and devices. There isn't really a scenario where Crownpeak is not a good solution. The only exception would be when IT would rather maintain more control over the architecture and hosting.
We currently use Crownpeak DXM for some of our clients. For the clients that we provide web content management services via the Crownpeak DXM, they use the platform all across the whole organization also in different languages. The tools provide a seamless content management operations process; the workflow structure and content management process allow non-technical users to create state-of-the-art customer experiences with limited teams. In-built DQM (Digital Quality Management) tool gives the marketing teams the ability to audit their content for accuracy and accessibility. The system has a decoupled deployment structure; as content authors, we are able to create, manage and push content globally (in various languages) with fewer efforts and shorter turnaround times when it comes to delivering complex digital projects without any IT involvement.
Pros
Build & manage digital experiences without dependency on your IT team
Built-in Digital Quality tool (DQM) tool allows you to check the quality of content and any accessibility issues and immediately flag any issues before publishing.
Build websites with the component-based technology and spend less effort in creating the best user experience for the end-user
Cons
Platform can be slow sometimes.
Training materials are limited

The Crownpeak DXM solution is totally suitable for any organization looking for a modern cloud-based true-SaaS CMS solution to modernize their website and web operations on time and budget. The ease of use without requiring IT or developers, the ability to move quickly and make updates or push out campaigns with ease and top notch security are some of the differentiators of the tool. In a recent development project for a legal business client, we chose Crownpeak platform for its adaptability, flexibility and ease of maintenance. We integrated the client database with a customized API to their existing services, with the flexibility that the platform offers we used Oracle Connection libraries and server scripting to process the data on the server side. All of these were possible because of Crownpeak's agile structure and the decoupled architecture.
