Business Problems Solved
CrowdCompass is a versatile app that is widely used by event attendees to access schedules, event information, and communicate with organizers. Users have reported that the app offers a unique and interactive experience, making networking more enjoyable at events. The advanced functionalities and mission-critical security components of CrowdCompass have made it a preferred choice for Siemens AG and its subdivisions. One of the key benefits of the app is its ability to easily download and load event information across various platforms, making it convenient for users.
The use cases of CrowdCompass are extensive, ranging from regional to global events. It provides valuable information on schedules, sessions, handouts, event communications, and even social media engagement. The app supports gamification features, custom content creation, and personalized schedules for specific groups. This has proven to be particularly useful for small events management departments, as it enhances their efficiency and enables effective communication with attendees.
CrowdCompass has addressed several common problems faced by event organizers. Its ability to eliminate the need for printing handouts not only helps reduce costs but also promotes environmental consciousness. Additionally, the app generates additional revenue through banner ad sales while providing trackable attendee engagement data. For large conferences and events in the travel incentive industry, CrowdCompass has successfully tackled on-site communication challenges by offering personalized schedules and push notifications.
Integration with Cvent SMM has been a significant advantage for many users, as it saves time and provides real-time updates and changes during events. The software seamlessly integrates with other registration sites as well, making it simpler for organizers to provide a better experience for attendees. Furthermore, CrowdCompass serves as the main source of event information for annual user meetings and conferences, eliminating the need for printed materials.
Overall, users appreciate the value that CrowdCompass brings to their events by providing a clean and usable mobile app experience for any size event. Its features such as delegate lists, agendas, notifications, and maps have proven to be highly valuable for managing events and providing information to attendees. Push notifications are particularly appreciated as they enable timely updates and important announcements during events. While there may be room for improvement in terms of the app's interface, users express overall satisfaction with CrowdCompass and its contribution to enhancing the event experience.
We use Crowd Compass as the event app for our Annual Conference. Our conference serves over 3000 architects annually. We offer over 100 sessions, 30+ tours, and many events and networking opportunities as well as an interactive exhibit hall full of engaging activities and 350 exhibitors and sponsors. The Crowd Compass app allows us to showcase all of these items in one simple place. We are able to monetize the design of the app by selling banner ads, splash screens, gamification items, and map pins to our sponsors and exhibitors. Our speakers are well showcased with their photos and bios. It's so easy to view their schedule if you are looking to catch a certain person during our 3-day event. The exhibit hall is easily mapped out and each exhibitor can upload information for their potential buyers to easily find them on the show floor. Push notifications might actually be our favorite feature. From sending out "The keynote speaker will start in 5 minutes in Ballroom 1" to "A yellow notebook and water bottle have been handed in at registration, collect if it's yours!" This is a game-changer for us! We can also sell notifications to sponsors! Our attendees love the app!
Pros
The customizable exhibitor & speaker profiles.
Mapping/locations.
Push notifications.
User friendly: both internal (creating app) & external (using it).
Looks sleek.
Cons
Last year, the gamification did not allow much customization, which was a shame. I hope that by the time I am ready to build my 2020 app, this function has been expanded
The app to upload/edit push notifications was only available on iPhone so I had to have another team member handle that seems I have an android phone.
Emails (invites, etc.) often go to junk.

It's a really easy platform to use. It integrates seamlessly with Cvent, so with a few clicks, your information is pushed through and ready to start previewing. It's a huge benefit for your attendees to have your whole conference schedule in the palm of their hand. You can easily make updates, unlike in the old printed guide where once it's printed, that's it. We have so many room changes or last-minute speaker adjustments to make, the app has been wonderful in making sure our attendees know where to go and when!

We used Crowd Compass for an annual event of <150 people. The app was super simple to set up and helped tremendously to communicate last-minute schedule changes. Since our event was small, we were not able to use all of the features of the app that a larger event would. Support was always there when I needed them, and the forums/community are great.
Pros
Intuitive.
Support is great.
Cons
More customization.
Better options for smaller events.

CrowdCompass is great to keep communication moving with attendees while you are in the midst of the event. Scheduling push notifications and having the interactive game made it feel like we were right there holding our attendee's hand. Also, we had an outdoor event that had to be rescheduled due to weather, and the app was huge in keeping everyone in the know.

CrowdCompass is used for our annual conference. We needed a way to communicate with attendees - schedules, updates, conference layout, etc. As well as for the attendees to communicate with each other for networking purposes.
Pros
Integration with EventFlex was seamless - even with last minute changes
Customer support is top notch - fast and reliable
The mobile app is very sleek looking and intuitive for attendees to navigate
Loved that they provided marketing materials and how to docs to send our attendees, so that we didn't have to create them
Cons
The add to my schedule function needs improvement. It would have been nice to know the restrictions based on registration paths before we created those.
Polling functionality could be more robust
The map function was great, but wasn't intuitive on how to use. A lot of attendees didn't realize it was there unless we told them

CrowdCompass is great for mid-sized conferences for basic mobile app functions. We used it for our 500 person conference for networking, keeping track of schedules, conference layout, etc. I honestly think it could be used for smaller conferences or large. As long as it is set up correctly, the app should work for all sizes and types of events, from conferences to expos.
Our company uses CrowdCompass for a mobile event app. It has addressed multiple questions from attendees for our national sales meeting.
Pros
Announcing award winners after ceremony
Agenda
Hotel layout
Cons
Back end support
Messages to specific attendee categories
Registration portal

CrowdCompass was well suited for our company's sales meeting. The venue was large with multiple events going on at the same time and in different locations. We were able to get communication out to attendees through the app.

It is used by us as an organization and also by the event agency we use to manage some of our events. We use it for different things like having a delegate list, agenda, notifications, and maps. The event game is also great.
Pros
List of attendees
Instructions
Agenda updates
Cons
Flexibility on design
Likelihood to Recommend
It is very good to have a delegate list, agenda, notifications, maps available through one software. The event game is also a great addition. However, It is hard for delegates to download, too many checks and codes.
We use CrowdCompass as our event mobile app for 3-5 user conferences per year. Using the app allows us to reduce printing costs, provide real-time information to our attendees and it allows our attendees and sponsors to network and have fun!
Pros
Customer Service
Ease to use
Cool features
Cons
Nothing at this time, the app does everything we need.
CrowdCompass is used to provide a mobile app experience for attendees at some of our client-facing events. It allows a custom-branded experience for a fraction of the time and cost of having one designed from scratch
Pros
Uses an API integration with your event data in Cvent to pre-populate information about sessions, agenda, locations, speakers, etc, into the mobile app
Provides a secure platform for attendee networking
Allows for live polling in sessions with results available to presenters for display immediately
Cons
I honestly think that there are no serious issues or limitations with this product. I genuinely love using it.
Likelihood to Recommend
CrowdCompass is not particularly expensive, but frankly, if you are running a small-scale for-profit event like a festival or concert, there is no functionality in a mobile app that you really NEED to purchase. This product is best suited to very large events with a generous budget that are spread out across multiple days or venues and that feature multiple sessions or agenda items.
