Covercy is the Payment Portal for my Investment group in an Alaskan Mining Project. I have over 100 individual Investors spread out through 7 different LLC Groups and 0ver 20 Trusts. Covercy is extremely flexible and accommodates the needs of our diverse group of both large and small investors. The mining project includes up to 15 dredges each with different investor contributions and Covercy handles this mix beautiful. It is as if there are 15 different investment products under one umbrella project.

Covercy solves the problem of moving large amounts of money through their partnership with Thread Bank, which aggregates FDIC protection from $250,000 to $3 Million in Deposit Guarantees by seamlessly distributing profits received in 12 different partner banks. The Covercy team made the investor onboarding process simple and efficient with their competent account managers and technical staff.

Investment partners have their own individual payment portals that takes the burden of distributing the funds from the project managers to an automated distribution system.

We checked out the competition of similar group investment payment portals and found Covercy to be head and shoulders above the competition.

Pros

$3 Million in FDIC Insurance Account protection is unsurpassed and highly attractive to our project managers and investors.
The Onboarding of over 100 investors was simple and efficient using a spreadsheet import.
The Technical Staff was very helpful and supportive during our startup phase and handled project startup delays beautifully.
Covercy was able to handle member payouts that involved compilcated and varied bonus structures and 15 different income generating assets with varied investor contributors and we had great support in figuring out how to handle the profit distributions.
The Covercy Account Managers were highly professional and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Our mining project had many startup delays due to the governmental red tape and opposing forces. We had billing issues where payments were started when no income was possible and these payments proved difficult to stop. Billing invoices continued despite repeated requests to pause the billing until mining commenced and project income could properly offset the monthly billing costs.
We have not had payouts yet so I cannot comment yet on the entire package and reporting capabilities. Check back again once our project pays out and I am sure I will have more input.

Our main requirement was that we needed a platform that could handle very large monthly payouts. Covercy had no limitations on the amount of money we would bring in.

Covercy handled a diverse range of investor portfolios, from small to large, and investor types allowed matched our complex structure well.

We had a complicated Bonus structure that makes payouts difficult to figure out, but Covercy provided different investment 'Classes' that handled the complex payout structure well. However, if there was a way to simplify the complex bonus structure within Covercy itself by applying the individual bonus structures to each investor, that would be helpful.

Investor relations. This allows ease of quarterly distributions and sale proceeds to investors. Allows investors to have a one-stop shop on all of their investing entities with us. It also allows them to access the investor reports for the entirety of their time as an investor in the entity. We have gotten multiple positive reviews from investors.

Covercy is well suited for smaller investment shops. They do not have the expertise that Juniper Square does but it is a great resource for smaller shops. It is more affordable and largely does the same thing as Juniper Square.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I create new assets and funds in the portal and then apply for bank accounts for those assets and funds. Once set up, I add investors to the investments, send documents and funding instructions to investors. My job is to get everyone through the investment set up and funding process.

Pros

Customer services is outstanding
When setting up investments, there are a lot of data point for investors
Signing subscription docs is easy and integrated well into the platform.

Cons

I would be so happy if I could send pictures, tables, graphs and attachments in the emails that we send to investors. It doesn't make sense that this is not already a feature.
I think investors should be able to update and add information into the portal themselves. As of now, we have to add new entities, add SSNs/Tax IDs. This is PII. Investors should have the ability to add these themselves.
I would love to see more "sender" options available when setting up the subscriptions docs. Currently, the only options we use are Sender Investing Entity Name, Amount and email. It would be helpful to have an Address, phone, Tax ID option as well. This would make filling out docs more investor friendly since they wouldn't have to fill out so many fields.
It would be helpful if I could pull a report from an asset that pulled all of the data. Investor name, email, phone, amount invested, address, tax ID etc. Everything. It is also not intuitive where to pull this report. It should be located within the asset or fund itself. Instead, I have to go to Positions and the report is missing information so I have to pull several reports and pull in data from one report to the other to get a full picture.
I would also love it if the address would pull into one field instead of multiple fields. I have to format it every time I pull the report for our CPA.

Your customer service is the best part about Covercy. I love having a contact person that is responsive and helpful. Even if Covercy doesn't have a feature that we would like or need, we are always given workarounds or suggestions on alternative solutions. Our suggestions for portal improvements are always considered and being worked on by the development team. Covercy is working on improving the customer and investor experience.

We use Covercy as our main platform for investor relations. It allows us to keep investors updated with quarterly reports, manage distributions efficiently, and share new investment opportunities in a clear and professional way. Before Covercy, our communication and reporting were done through email, which made things harder to track and less consistent. Now, everything is centralized—investors can log in to see updates, access documents, and stay informed throughout the lifecycle of their investment. It's helped us improve transparency, build trust, and scale our investor communications more effectively.

We utilize Covercy as our Investor portal for our investors. We send out updates from Covercy which include paying out dividends and preferred returns. We chose Covercy because of its ease of use on our end in addition to the information that is readily available to the investor which makes it super user friendly.
