We use ClickUp for goal tracking, dashboards for teams, project management, workflow management for translation, and event management. ClickUp gives us one place to see our projects across the organization so everyone can see what's happening in other teams. Almost everyone on the team has access to ClickUp either as someone who executes tasks or manages projects or portfolios of projects. It's a must have tool!
Pros
Goals
Dashboards
Templates
Cons
Wish AI was included in all licenses OR that you could select who has access to AI

ClickUp is great when you have a defined project. But it's also great to use as you sort out your project. The flexibility is a real win.

As an Operations Manager, I work with every department within my organization and many different stakeholders and third parties. ClickUp is a crucial tool that helps me to keep track of projects, their statuses and also to collect all of the communication that I have with others via email, Slack and on the Google Workspace.
Pros
Gathers communication from many different channels
Helpful AI tools
Excellent time-tracking on tasks
Cons
The dashboard cards could be robust
Automations could be easier to set up
User interface is a bit cluttered and it is sometimes difficult to locate tools and functions

ClickUp presents a high learning curve, but it is worth it! Another department at my organization uses Monday.com and I have an account there for the work that I do with them. I find that it is very limiting in regards to the features available when compared to ClickUp. It is so easy to build projects and tasks that reflect your workflow in a comprehensive way in ClickUp. And it integrates with other tools, such as your Google Calendar, Slack and Zoom, in ways that helps so much. It really is a crucial tool to have as an operations or project manager.
I primarily use ClickUp for managing tasks related to client interactions, content creation, and administrative duties as a virtual assistant business. It has helped me keep organized throughout all my areas of work. From client management and collaboration, to content creation, admin tasks, and project management, ClickUp has been a daily tool for me for almost two years now. Overall, ClickUp serves as a comprehensive platform for me to enhance productivity, manage tasks efficiently, and deliver exceptional service to my clients. I went through all of the other task management softwares out there and no other tool compares to ClickUp!
Pros
Centralized Task Management
Seamless Client Interaction
Efficient Administrative Management
Boost My Overall Confidence When Dealing With Clients
Cons
Sometimes when click on task from the calendar view on the home screen they won't open after 1 or 2 tasks that I've opened and tried to make edits on. I have to click on dashboard or other screen and go back to home for it to be able to work again.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have recommended ClickUp to all my clients who need help managing all their tasks. Especially those working for multiple clients. I've seen clients struggle keeping themselves accountable with Asana and Notion because it's not as intuitive as ClickUp. You can manage everything from the home screen without the need of feeling overwhelmed and losing time clicking into different lists, tasks, and subtasks. And the reality is so many of us stop using task managing tools because we feel they stall our workflow. ClickUp makes it so easy to update any existing tasks and view only what you need at any given time. Or if you need to create a new task you can do so really quick without having to spend 5 minutes finding the correct list or main task to put it under. I can't think of a scenario where ClickUp would be less appropriate. If you know how to set your workspace up or seeking help from the ClickUp experts you're setting yourself up for success with ClickUp.
Our association uses ClickUp to manage projects and provide visibility on progress and roadblocks to all. It is used very collaboratively and allows us to complete work asynchronously, which is very helpful as we are a remote workforce based in several time zones. We use several different formats, which will enable ClickUp to work for a variety of other teams and projects.
Pros
Organization.
Asynchronous work.
Progress updates.
Work statistics.
Cons
Menus could be simpler, sometimes the number of options are overwhelming.
Sharing pages/tasks with a link, would like the link text to be human readable.
Likelihood to Recommend
I'd recommend ClickUp as a great tool for keeping track of work in a visible way. There are lots of different configurations available to ensure that all different teams within your organization have a way to track their work that makes sense. It is a great collaborative tool for remote and asynchronous teams.
Managing tasks with a Virtual assistant via email was filling up my inbox with "noise". Moving everything to ClickUp lets us see the bigger picture, manage the tasks by assigning due dates, and upload all assets and docs in one place.
Pros
Organize tasks by project reducing the back and forth on finding things
Communication: Speeds up communication with team members
Cons
I'd love to see voice commands

For business owners with teams or a virtual assistant, ClickUp can be a game-changer. It's much more robust than other "project management" platforms and the built-in AI makes it an easy selection when looking to upscale and organize your business systems. It is a great platform to manage your clients as well. One platform for all the work you are doing with a client that provides easy access to your clients while allowing you to control the level of access.

ClickUp has become a household name in our organization across multiple departments. The primary use cases we are using ClickUp for is project management and goal setting. Those two main components then branch off by the creating tasks and assigning tasks. It is very valuable for what we do here!
Pros
Project Management
Setting Goals
Task Management
Cons
Central place for filters within a view
Remove unused functionality
Early learning curve you must tolerate
Likelihood to Recommend
If a colleague is inquiring about a project management tool or a tool to create milestones and tasks, then I would definitely recommend ClickUp. The different list views and layouts you can create are extraordinary. I would also tell them that it is worth the investment, and it provides great visibility to the entire organization really.

We use ClickUp as a cross-divisional, interdepartmental project management hub and communication tool. When we began implementing ClickUp, our primary issues were a lack of communication with decisions, programs, and projects that involved multiple teams. This resulted in unnecessary miscommunications and tensions. We have a staff that ranges from 400-600 at any given time, and one of our historic challenges has been to create a structure that can last over time rather than being dependent on a person with a specific skill set or ability. Our goal with ClickUp was to begin to mitigate some of these dynamics as well as create guardrails and guidelines to safeguard our core processes and procedures. At our current stage of both on-boarding and implementation, we are already seeing ways that this tool has streamlined some of our communication and tracking of progress on projects and tasks.
Pros
Tracks tasks over time.
Provides a workspace around a task to keep communication in the same place.
Lots of flexibility in structuring and customizing your workspace to your needs.
Cons
On-boarding can be a little laborious for members of your team who are less tech-savvy.
It can be a little hard to find features through the various menus.
The chat function looks helpful, but it is not clear if it is powerful enough to replace some of our other methods of communication.
Likelihood to Recommend
ClickUp is very well suited to task-based communication and project management. It tracks the progression of a project well over time and is well suited to facilitating teamwork. ClickUp, apart from a task, is not always conducive to communication. It does not completely replace email or an external chat function and is limited by its commitment to workflow almost to a fault. The notification system works well within a task but is not always as immediate as would be helpful for a quick chat conversation.
Our department uses ClickUp to track tasks and organize large workshops for a team of 13 people spread over 3 countries and 4 time zones. We needed to be able to communicate well and have consistency with our workshops. It has also been invaluable for managing multi-week projects involving many people.
Pros
Allows lists to be saved as templates for repeating a process.
Notifications can be finely tuned to match the level of need per person.
It's easy to make bulk changes like assignments.
Provides a place to communicate on a project or task without needing email.
Provides many different view options with further personalization available.
Cons
Everyone on the team needs a full license to really function. We thought some people could get away with guest licenses, but that was not feasible. The options the "guests" had were different, and it frustrated them which slowed down user acceptance.
It's too easy to create a task and not save it when you think you did.
The recurring tasks settings are clunky, or I'm just not getting it yet!
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it works great for recurring complicated events. One example is a workshop where the same types of tasks always happen such as getting a venue, putting together participant lists, etc.
I used it for tracking the progress on a merchandise order. I was able to have a detailed description, links to the samples, copies of text chats, status updates, all in one place. It eliminated so many emails.
We use Clickup to manage projects throughout the entire company. To ensure departments are communicating efficiently as they are working through projects. We also are able to track responsibility for tasks & projects as it relates to individuals. We have been able to implement an entire damage management and feedback system.
Pros
Allows you to track tasks based on filters.
Allows you to integrate with other platforms.
Allows to plan out projects in entirety. Even allows subtasks.
Cons
Automation
AI Features
Backlog List
Likelihood to Recommend
We needed to open a new office location. We were able to have that as the project and list all steps/tasks as subtasks to keep track of what needed to be done. As we worked through the project comments for specific tasks were able to be left on the subtasks. We were even able to save this as a template to use for future office openings.
