Best tool for Lead Generation

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Clearbit for Data Generation. I've used lot of other competitors since last few years, Out of the others I love Clearbit data more. Using this B2B Data I noticed the delivery rate was way higher than Other which is important for any Outbound prospecting folks. I can simply gather my target buyer and sent it to my CRM.

Pros

  • B2B Data Generation
  • Intent based data Generation
  • CRM Integration

Cons

  • Intent based was good but may be something like regional based using google analytics would be better
  • Chances of Improving in Data Validation
  • Data Enrichment was bit hard to do for my own csv file

Likelihood to Recommend

if someone is using Outbound prospecting and Need the right buyers with appropriate intent. Then Clearbit is the only best & right solution to find the data.

Great invention for managing sales activities

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is a very user-friendly tool with an intuitive interface where every icon is presented in a well-organized form. Furthermore, I can easily find out any company’s webpage and correspond with them about my product. The extensions that are provided by this software updates automatically to show users useful information. Overall, it is an excellent product and now it keeps the importance in our organization because of its effective performance.

Pros

  • I appreciate its simple layout and its navigation which allows SDRs to find company-associated web pages.
  • I can easily send them emails. In this way, I have generated leads that eventually affect my sales.
  • It is integrated with so many other similar tools that have left a mark in managing the CRM.

Cons

  • The pricing policy is very high which hinders its usage among the small business setup.
  • Also, the company's LinkedIn profile is not found every time.
  • However, this tool is found to be a convenient one.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is more than a 100% recommended tool. It will become just like a business partner to you in terms of product marketing and selling. Furthermore, your team will get a professional approach to the new trend thus I will surely recommend it. It never compromises with its authentic services.

Clearbit: Enrich your accounts...and SDR's lives

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Clearbit is used by two different teams in our sales department. The research team uses it to enrich accounts with general information about the prospective companies e.g. employee size, segment, industry, location, social media handles etc. They further use it to cross-reference email addresses that we find from other tools.

The SDRs use it to gain an insight into the company, largely from what the researchers have found regarding the above points, but also to find recent company news, have quick link references to useful company webpages, and occasionally making use of the additional phone numbers it provides for the company and contacts.

Pros

  • The integration with Salesforce is great. We enter the companies webpage into the Salesforce field and the Clearbit extension updates automatically to show users useful information.
  • Emails it finds are accurate a lot of the time.
  • Very easy to use - simple layout that is easy to read and navigate while also quickly allowing SDRs to find company associated webpages.

Cons

  • The phone numbers that it gives you are nowhere near as accurate as the emails it finds. It can be a bit of lottery as to whether the number still works, and goes to the place you want it to.
  • Doesn't always find the companies LinkedIn profile (10% of the time).
  • Company news isn't always available - not sure what causes this, but it would be good to fix this up.

Likelihood to Recommend

Clearbit is well suited to:
  1. SDRs who want to be able to quickly pop open relevant company pages.
  2. SDRs who want a quick overview of the company while the phone is dialing.
  3. SDRs and researchers who need additional phone numbers for companies.
  4. Researchers - finding emails quickly for prospects.

Clearbit is not so well suited:
  1. When companies are smaller (<100). I feel (this is not proven) that Clearbit is less likely to find company news and social handles.
  2. You can't rely on it to find contact phone numbers.

Great product for data quality and ABM

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Clearbit to help support our Account-Based Marketing efforts and with data quality improvements. For ABM we use Clearbit to personalize digital experiences on the site for our target accounts. For data quality, our primary use case is to power our lead generation forms. Clearbit requires users to enter less data and significantly improves our conversion rate.

Pros

  • Accurate data on accounts and contacts.
  • Good match rate on accounts visiting our site.
  • Solid account team and support.

Cons

  • None that I can add

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited to businesses seeking to deploy ABM and those who require accurate contact and account data.

Time savings isn't necessarily measurable, but it's crucial for outbound sales - and Clearbit provides this convenience.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Clearbit for years, now. Clearbit is a Data Enrichment & Lead Prospecting tool. It's currently linked with our company's CRM (Salesforce). It's making our job easier as sales reps to provide additional data on prospects that we would otherwise have to spend time hunting for.

Pros

  • It does a great job of scraping the web to find additional information about people.
  • It will not provide false information. If it can't find something/someone, it just won't post it.

Cons

  • Being able to get additional contact information would be awesome.
  • A while back there was a new feature released that we didn't know about. We missed out on some cool features for a while cause we didn't simply "refresh."

Likelihood to Recommend

Clearbit is great for companies with large sales teams who focus on high touch prospecting. The time saved by not having to search a prospect's LinkedIn profile, but simply see data in the CRM is awesome. On the other hand, Clearbit may not be as ideal in a company where sales are very transactional.

Clearbit is great for data enrichment

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Clearbit in two ways. First, we use it to enrich our lead, contact, and account info in Salesforce. Second we use it to enrich our data warehouse of customer info. These two systems sometimes overlap in terms of shared info so it was important that we had a single data source for data enrichment.

Pros

  • As best we can tell, they have very accurate information.
  • When it comes to updating/enriching data, the change in Salesforce is pretty quick, almost real time which is good since it has to see what info I have provided in Salesforce, make a "match" in their system, and then enrich Salesforce which all happens is seconds.
  • The integration was pretty seamless. It's a nice, plug-n-play solution.

Cons

  • There are some initial configurations you'll want to be sure you have set up. For example, for leads when they are enriching you can choose for it to update with info from the company HQ, or the location of the individual. Not knowing this we went for a period updating address for the individual when we wanted addresses for their HQ.
  • Their prospecting capabilities aren't as clean and simple as I'd like.
  • Apparently at one point they conducted an upgrade that required a refreshing. We weren't notified so we were missing out on some new features we didn't know about because we weren't informed of the refresh.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is excellent if you want straightforward data enrichment on company info. It's pretty hands off and automated, and accurate. Their licensing model works well for our needs which we liked. It's not as good for proactive prospecting. It also doesn't have great direct phone numbers for individuals, but we knew that going in.

Better options abound

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Clearbit was used by reps in our organization to find contact information for companies and people they were prospecting into. It was implemented to be a potential replacement to Data.com

All AEs and SDRs had access, and the primary use was within SFDC. We no longer use Clearbit, as there were numerous issues with UI, data quality and support.

Pros

  • The staff at Clearbit is quite friendly.
  • The SFDC integration could be something really powerful if bugs are worked out.
  • Pricing is not astronomical.

Cons

  • Lots of issues with data quality
  • Lots of issues with data availability, period. Lots of large companies would have 5-10 total contacts, none being the depts. we needed
  • Not a particularly friendly UI

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited if you are going after C level executives that have been with the company for a while at a larger firm.

It will be less appropriate in the SMB space, where company contact information is a bit harder to find. It also makes the most sense for full time prospect

Clearbit review

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As the only lead development rep, I use the Clearbit extension often. Clearbit allows me to quickly search for leads and build lists right in a Google sheet. The extension makes it easy to search for both companies and prospects. I can also quickly search for leads right in my CRM by using the Salesforce/Clearbit integration.

Pros

  • Clearbit makes building prospect lists fast and easy.
  • Clearbit has a great integration with Salesforce.
  • The Clearbit Chrome extension is a quick and easy way to search/build lead lists right in Google.

Cons

  • The data Clearbit provides is good, but it doesn't compare to some competitors. While you can find a large range of data, other providers have more clean data.
  • The Google Sheets add-on is not as comprehensive. It would be nice if you could search for both prospect emails and numbers there.
  • Clearbit provides direct dials, but again it's not as accurate as other services.

Likelihood to Recommend

Overall I think the prospecting aspect of the product is good. Depending on the industry you are targeting, the data might not be the best. They do provide you with a data test prior to purchasing, which I highly recommend. If you know exactly who your target prospect is and the data is there, this is a great tool. If you're not sure who you're trying to target, this is probably not the best tool.

Clearbit - It has its uses

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Clearbit has been offered to the entire sales staff as an add on for use in helping to prospect for new customers. The entire sales staff has been trained on the use of Clearbit, but it is not a required use for everyone on the sales team.

Pros

  • It provides good data for contacting customers by having their emails readily available.
  • It enables users to find additional contacts and their LinkedIn profiles to better understand their position within companies that user is trying to sell to.
  • Clearbit enables users to be able to easily add contacts into salesforce, making for cleaning data into the CRM and ensure better contactablity of contacts.

Cons

  • Clearbit does not always have insight into new start up businesses, so that if you if your targets are start up companies, or companies in an early growth mode, it is perhaps not the best use for contacts at companies of that nature.
  • Sometimes Clearbit is wonky on initial install as far as adding contacts, also, a big drawback is that it works only in chrome, but for our salesforce, we must use IE only for much of the functionality, so having to swap back between Chrome and IE on two screens can be confusing. Cross functionality would be a big improvement. If your CRM does not allow for use in chrome, Clearbit may not be a good fit for your company.
  • Contacts at some legitimately larger companies is not complete, as such it does cast doubt as to how extensive Clearbit's information is for other mid-size and enterprise level companies.

Likelihood to Recommend

For mid-sized multi-location businesses, Clearbit has provided additional contacts that I was unaware of, their email and phone contact information.

For a start up which is in growth mode, Clearbit was only able to provide existing contact names that I already had been in contact with, and did not provide insight below the C-Level.

I'm a fan.

Rating: 6 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Clearbit is being used sporadically within our sales organization. It is not company-wide and isn't standardized across all employees, but is rather discovered by each individual.

Pros

  • Salesforce account enrichment
  • Salesforce contact enrichment
  • Accurate prospecting data

Cons

  • Other competitors provide more detail with prospects
  • UI isn't as good as other prospecting tools I've used
  • Lack of some functionality

Likelihood to Recommend

Clearbit is well suited within a prospecting motion at the top of funnel in sales. It is less suited for identifying topic areas of discussion with those prospects.
