We are using for protecting our networks from cyber threats, It is very easy to integrate. It has advanced threat detection with centralised management system that gives real time threat detection and robust defense against the malware attacks on our networks. It provides consistency and ensure security on our networks. It has AI capabilities that helps in troubleshooting and reporting of the attacks quickly. It ensuring to provide robust security by following TLS & SSI. As well as various features like URL filtering or application control saves time and ensure better productivity. Quickly block unauthorized activities on our networks. It is beast for every organisation related to banking and financial at most.

Cisco Secure Firewall is game changer for our organisation for resolving the problems related to the security compliance and network credibility. It blocks the threats realtime by using its own features i.e threat intelligence integration. It has inbuilt advanced malware protection that tracks and protect from spreading the malware. We can enable user based access for better security and saves from illegal access of the systems. It provides data loss prevention as well as segmentation and load balancing for better performance.

Gives centralised security as well as handles traffic intelligently.

Cons

Little bit complex setup & management for new user.
Pricing is not pocket friendly
Sometime customer support response gets delayed.

I always recommend if my friend looking for high grade security for their networks security as well as compliance, it protects from malware attacks very quickly and efficiently. It is well integrate on all platform like cloud as well as on premises. Also we can integrate with other Cisco products for better connectivity and usability.

Our organisation using this service for protecting our infrastructure from illegal access. It gives high grade security against our internal as well as external assets. It detects and block malware attacks immediately. It follow all standards of security compliance. It is easy to integrate in every environment. Cisco provide superb customer support. Service is very robust and transparent. I am loving and happy with the services.

Cisco Secure Firewall has proven to be a reliable solution for securing our corporate network.We implemented it in an IT environment with around 80 employees, and the firewall delivered solid traffic control, enhancing visibility, segmentation, and incident response. Integration with Cisco Umbrella is well-executed and effective.Access policies are fairly easy to configure, and the system has demonstrated good scalability. The only point to consider is the steep initial learning curve, especially for those without prior experience with Cisco solutions — professional support is recommended.

Cisco Secure Firewall builds upon the traditional firewall, incorporating Layer 7 security, and integrates with various threat feeds and IPS signatures to provide more comprehensive threat protection. We use them to secure our data centers and internet edge. We also deploy virtual instances of them in the cloud. They send security logs to our SIEM.

Pros

Has a change audit.
Sends security events via syslog.
Allows for high-availability pairs for redundancy.

Cons

They could have a network object that points to a URL with a list of IPs that get updated.
Firewall could speed up their upgrade times.
Firewall could remove FXOS.

Likelihood to Recommend

Cisco Secure Firewall is extremely useful for providing not only Layer 4 security but also IPS, URL, and domain blocking. They can also utilize BGP routing, but can't display the advertised routes. Netflow configuration is also possible.

We currently use a variety of Cisco Secure Firewall products. From ASAs to FTDs. Single Mode and Clustered. The ASA is one of the easiest products to learn to use while the FTD is easy to utilize but finding what you're looking for might take a second or two.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cisco Secure Firewall is used as the primary defense tool on the edge of our network. The firewall is used to permit access both for employees and external clients who use internal networks, which we maintain. These external clients use these networks to configure devices such as switches, routers and systems

Pros

Gives detailed information on what user is utilizing the VPN such as Ip address and the origin of country for the Ip address.
The graphical user interface is detailed and organized, a good level of intuition.
It provides troubleshooting tools such as packet tracer, that allows individuals to see where the packets are being accepted or dropped.

Cons

I wish that the deployment of the updates to the sensors from the FMC was faster.
Cisco ASA firewall did a great job of authentication and authorization on the local firewall. FTD does not authorize users well in terms that an AAA must be setup to provide the granular tools that the ASA did.
Cisco's method of licensing the firewall can be improved. The FMC and the FTD are licensed through the Cisco software manager and there are instances where the devices are licensed but the firewall still displays and error due to licensing.

Likelihood to Recommend

Cisco Secure Firewall does an amazing job of Standard firewall needs such as allowing or denying a packet based on its protocol, and port. Cisco Secure Firewall work well in utilizing a VPN connection. It works hand in hand with the Cisco secure client or AnyConnect, is a lightweight, easy to deploy and automate install.

In my organization we are using Cisco Secure Firewall's products in our network infrastructure for secure or environments secure or network, for example.

Pros

Scalability, flexibility, and yes, use of this product is very useful for the administrators.

Cons

I have one argument, failover scenario. It's not quite easy. Failover scenario of firewalls. It's sometimes not quite easy to know the issue. But if we open a tech case, a technical case to Cisco, Cisco will help us, it's a little bit con, but we are happy with this product.

We are using a lot of products in our environment. For example, switches or routers or firewalls. And I could say only in my team we are responsible for firewalls. And firewalls is the central device of a network.
