Business Problems Solved
ChartHop has proven to be an invaluable tool for users looking to visualize organization charts. With its simple and user-friendly interface, users have found it to be a blessing for creating and presenting organization charts in a clear and visually appealing manner. The tool easily pulls employee data from HRMS, making it convenient for users to populate and update their charts accurately.
One key use case of ChartHop is its ability to visualize the company's organizational change history. Users can track the chronology of employee titles, providing a comprehensive view of how the organization has evolved over time. This feature is particularly useful in understanding the growth and development of the company.
Another significant use case of ChartHop is its role in promoting transparency within the organization. By using ChartHop, companies can easily showcase their org chart and hierarchy of employees, allowing everyone to see the number of employees and their respective roles within the company. This level of transparency fosters a sense of openness and helps employees understand their position within the larger organizational structure.
Users also enjoy using ChartHop as a tool for navigation within the company. It enables them to explore different teams, departments, and individuals, facilitating better collaboration and goal-setting. The platform provides detailed information about each employee, making it easier for colleagues to familiarize themselves with new faces or team structures, especially for remote employees.
Furthermore, ChartHop proves valuable in operational management. Users have implemented this software to better manage operational issues by bringing together all people data in one centralized location. The software handles data with extreme care, ensuring the protection of sensitive information.
Overall, ChartHop offers a wide range of use cases that benefit organizations in various ways: visualizing organization charts, tracking historical changes, promoting transparency, enhancing navigation, and improving operational management. Its user-friendly interface and capacity to integrate with HRMS systems make it a valuable tool for organizations seeking to optimize their workforce management processes.
We use ChartHop for general visualizations for proof of concepts, newer ideas that are less mature in their development and also for more pitch-focused objectives that involve executive audiences. We also use this product for straightforward org chart development. The scope of our scale deals with gigabyte-level data and our audience is in the hundreds as to who sees our visualizations.
Pros
Easy chart manipulation
Good color schemas
Readable fonts that those who can't see as well can see
Cons
When org charts or other visualizations get really big, the UI gets very buggy
Sometimes the platform will randomly lag or will automatically refresh and I will lose progress
Can sometimes be difficult for new users to learn due to new features that have been added. Lots to try and learn.

It is a great product that enables new and developing orgs within a business to develop meaningful charts and workflows without requiring entire teams to learn how to build out visualizations. This is also a helpful product to brainstorm ideas, workflows and more. It is slightly less appropriate when ideas are more developed or when the complexity or scale of certain systems (that translate to more complex visualizations) increases.
We have used the tool since the pandemic started and our organization's strength grew from 100 to 300+ employees in 9 months. For someone like me who has used ppts for managing organization charts initially, this tool has been an absolute blessing to visualize organization charts in a simple manner. Another advantage here is that it can easily pull all the employee data from the HRMS. A very visually appealing tool to understand people analytics.
Pros
Visualized organisation chart in simple way.
integrates with HRMS platforms.
The reporting and dashboard are easy to understand and is completely automated.
Cons
It took us a lot of time to implement and onboard this tool. Though we love the tool now, the onboarding could have been smoother.
UI looks outdated, room for improvement. Difficult to navigate.

Not Suited - The tool is suited for organizations with an employee count of more than >500. There are much cheaper tools out there for a company size of below 500 employees. Integration with other tools can be improved. Suited - From an admin POV who sometimes works closely with HRs, customization and storing information is great.

My organization uses ChartHop for a visualization of the company's organizational change history. The platform provides a good track of all the employee and their titles chronologically and gives a great representation of where the organization's development has been made. I believe ChartHop is used across our whole organization, and it delivers transparent updates on the system. I have to use more of this platform to catch some business-related problems.
Pros
Visualization of organization chart
Analytic data collection
Tracking of organization history
Cons
Search options (detailed information on employee changes)
Information about what different color code means
Company goal settings

I think it is a fairly good tool to use for any mid-size organization. It provides good visualization from a small size team to the entire company org structure. I think it will be quite hard to utilize this platform from big companies because it might get a bit complicated due to the number of employees that need to be displayed on a single chart board, but still, be useful if want to manage it in small size.
