Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cascade Server is used as our main web client for NIU. We use it campus wide, especially in the Marketing and Web Communications Department. It helps us maintain our NIU website.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Cascade Server to construct the departmental page on the university website. Cascade addresses the need for publicity on the university level.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cascade Server is a content management system I use to maintain web content for the departments website and have been using this for a while. It is very easy to use and user friendly even if you have a non technical background. When I started using Cascade I was worried, "what if I accidentally delete something or something goes wrong"? With Cascade you don't need to worry because all your deleted data is stored in a repository and is available to restore if you think you deleted it accidentally. I would give 3 1/2 stars to users and would recommend it to beginners and non technical background users.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My organization uses Cascade Server on a daily basis. It's very easy to learn for all users across our organizations, not just techies. The great benefit Cascade Server offers is, it allows us to let everyone in our organization update and mange their web pages.

Pros

Allow the use of multiple users and groups.
With working in such a large organization, it makes it easy to manage multiple web pages, by allowing users to update their pages.
Cascade Server is very simple and easy to learn.

Cons

Cascade Server could have more updated "How to" content.
Improve the documentation and offer more plugin features

Likelihood to Recommend

Cascade Server is best suited in large organizations.
