Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Box for file sharing and inviting other collaborators to create Word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, as well as for collaborating on these documents in real-time. It is packed with oodles of features and options for file storage, syncing, and collaboration. Box backs up entire hard drives and systems. By simply clicking on files and folders then tabbing over to ''details'' I can view their sync status on my account.

I can easily create and edit documents then assign a general or approval task to any file with comments. Three of its four plans come with unlimited storage, making it the only cloud storage service offering that much space. However, it can still be expensive for small businesses.

This tool is very widely known and popular a tool that we have been using in our company in the category of Enterprise Content Management Software. One thing that I have to say about this tool is that whether you are actually on the premises of the office or you are not there, this tool will always give you the leverage to give 100% focus and dedication to your work and manage all the workflows with great concentration and efficiency. This tool is being used across different departments and multiple divisions.

Pros

I really liked this platform because it is cross-platform and this can be very easily installed on not only Windows but Mac as well so that users can access files online at any time.
The desktop application in this product makes it so easy and hassle-free to find all the files on the computer and then open them on different devices simultaneously.
This platform has the capability to create shared links without any complications involved that are not there in different players.
When using this product the user does not need to undergo any special training or upload any content.
Box gives users pretty easy access and I think its usability is great for all users.

Cons

Large-sized files cannot be synchronized without having a premium version so all of the processing consumes a lot of time.
When you initially install Box then you are required to move all files which again consumes a lot of time that could be invested somewhere else.

It is a completely reliable platform. Since we get a lot of documents to read and share, this product has made my life easy by stacking them in folders so that I can read them according to my ease and preference. That is why this tool is very good and I would recommend it to businesses who have similar concerns. Altogether, this is a great product and should be tried out by companies.

I have been using Box in our whole organization and it is one of the very efficient ways of backing up and sharing data plus editing documents as well in all the departments of our company. This tool comes in very handy and is useful for backing up different important files in the cloud. I have noticed that this product is a very seamless way of managing all our processes to facilitate us in keeping track of customer experiences. All in all, it has addressed many problems, and majorly it is the backing up of important data.

Pros

The tool can handle large file sizes of up to 5 GB very easily along with excellent integration and word processing for online document editing.
The software also provides users a chance to enhance and increase the overall traceability of documents and files.
A recent new feature that enables users to comment while they share files is also very useful as it allows users to avoid any discrepancy.
It is secure and reliable platform.

Cons

I have noticed that the larger the file size is the more time it will take to sync plus at some point you might not be able to sync without a premium version.
When you initially install this product you will first have to move all the files that you want to sync which is very time-consuming.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have been using this product for a long time in my company and previously we have also used different software of a similar nature, but none of them offered enough space, so we switched to Box. By far I feel that this was one of the best decisions because this is one of the most widely accepted storage tools and it has a superior interface that has leveraged us in so many ways. I consider it to be a great win and therefore I would also recommend it to other companies.

We use Box to share documents and enhance collaboration for various numbers of our internal and external projects. It helps to facilitate proactive and meaningful discussions without the need to use complicated methods. So far we have seen a good amount of value represented in this product. I would recommend it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Box to share documents with teammates and to backup data. It is very useful for backing up data and making remote collaboration easier without worrying about complex configuration or setup. Box also makes it easier for us to share data with external teammates and gives us peace of mind with its security controls.

I would definitely suggest Box for large enterprises and startups were non-technical and technical coworkers need to share files and collaborate remotely. Box isn't the best for sharing sensitive files or files that need strict version control. Overall, Box offers better pricing options than Dropbox and is easier to use.

We receive and have to share a lot of files and Box has been great to organize all of that. I've also used it to help organize documents to read each week using the iPad app as a reader to make management as to what's read easy.

We get a lot of documents to read so it's easy to share and receive documents. I also have to read a lot of those documents over the week. So, they're loaded up into folders to organize them where I'm able to select and read them when I'm able to.

Purple Squirrel Media uses Box App to utilize integrations with other software in the Box ecosystem. Box has package plans and tiered pricing that suites a wide range of use cases from beginner to enterprise. Box Drive and Box Sync are tools comparable to other tools with a rich suite of integrations and features for content management.

Pros

Box is a great storage backup with the added feature of recognizing multiple file types.
Box Sync is particularly useful for backing up your most important documents.
Box has become a top storage app like Google Drive and iCloud.

Cons

I'd like to be able to view more content when I use the desktop browser.
I'd like to be able to have more features available to distribute content.
I'd like to be able to view more content on the app home page.

Likelihood to Recommend

Box is a great storage app for backing up content. While there is a rich suite of integrations I'd appreciate the menu of features to be available in the mobile app for iOS. Box has prevented us from [losing] invaluable content, but utilize other apps and suites to make the best use of that particular piece of content.

Box is essential to a client we work for for organizing and storing documents. We use it to collaborate and share living documents, protocols, SOPs, etc. Having one place to go to find everything you need to complete your work is the main benefit here - the "cloud" if you will.

Pros

Speedy upload and download times
Very simple and easy to use user interface

Cons

Version number - you get a new version every time you modify a document, or upload a document with the same title, in the cloud. This can be confusing when working with documents that don't accurately reflect the version number.
All Box needs now is a "smart" feature where it can "predict" what document you want to touch next. Yes - copy what Google Drive is doing.

Likelihood to Recommend

8 because Google Drive for business gets the slight edge. I'd still recommend this service as it's (probably?) cheaper than Google and it does solve all the problems you need a cloud storage solution needs to solve. I really love the user interface too - simple and clean, not too cluttered. Shoutout to the "Collections" feature too - at this point that's my go to for all my frequently used documents.

Box is a secure place to store project files online and other documents so that teams access this information quickly and in latest version. I drag and drop files directly into Box to save them and share with colleagues through a link that I can set permissions on to limit document access from authorized people.
