Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Box for document management purpose. Box is one of the best Document Delivery System tool available in market. Box also has free version which is having all the necessary features available for using tool perfectly and deciding if premium version is required or not. We need to prepare loading register of the document which we are going to upload and that feature is i think old fashioned apart from that totally recommended.

Loading register requirement should be removed

When document management system is required in any industry, Box can be used because it has no limit in usage scenario and best part is that Tool is supported in all the devices. So any document can be accessed from anywhere from any device, so on site this is so useful. Layout is very simple so everyone can easily use this

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my organization at the moment, Box is the official medium via which we can access day to day needed files from just about anywhere. I have found it to be secured, easy to use across a variety of platforms and it helps in promoting collaboration between individuals and teams, across my company.

Box provides me and my colleagues in my organization, with top grade file security and end to end data protection for data we share within the Box platform. The aforementioned is obviously the major reason we deployed Box. Asides the above, Box does a good job as well in aspects such as collaborations, improved productivity via integration with third party applications, electronic signatures amongst other uses.

Box helps to find everything in one place. It is one of the best tools for a big project that you can purchase. When a lot of team members are participating [in the] same project and you have a lot of files being exchanged and you want to keep track of all of them, then BOX is the answer to that.

Very likely to use it. It gives you the comfort that all the files are being stored in [the] same places from different team members. It is easy to organize in folders and also very useful by adding time stamps. [With] an easy setup u can have and box extension installed on your laptop and use it directly. So you can sync files easily.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's used for sharing files within my department but also with other departments and organizations (e.g. external users that we cooperate with). We can share various documentation files between employees e.g. including process descriptions and other usages. With external users, we share procedures on how to use specific services and what are our internal processes.

Sharing large files which should not be sent via email.
Sharing documents with external users.
Sharing applications with external users.

Cons

Speed of access.
Options to grant permissions to external users.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's great for sharing large files when not all potential users need them immediately. Also, it is good to share specific files with external users - e.g. documentation or some applications that third-party companies need to use but it is not safe enough to send via regular email service.

Box is one of those very few Content Management Software which has been used all across our organization and as a product that has helped us extensively in keeping everything coordinated and accessible. I am getting reliable service from this tool. It has fantastic functionalities. Features like the utilization of Box Sync gives you leverage to deal with many many documents which have helped with the issue of time consumption to quite a great extent.

Pros

The feature of Box that gives you the leverage of Cloud-Native Security is great because it protects all the files and documents easily.
This product has become one of the most top storage applications such as iCloud and even Google Drive.
As it has become the best storage application so it just safely saves all the hard drive space in the Cloud which leverages users with so much extra storage.
The software can be used by anyone in the organization and it establishes an atmosphere where all workers work without any hard and fast rules.

Cons

There are many good things about this software but there are a few cons as well like I personally think some more content on the desktop browser for viewing purposes could have been great.
The Multifactor facet in the software was not too useful and it was very hectic so that needs improvement.
There should be some more content available for viewing on the app home page for a better user experience.

I have been using Box for more than 2 years. In my opinion, this platform is great software and it just gels up super efficiently and effectively with the organizational needs. Moreover, this is one of those few products which is widely accepted in many different companies. However, I think that this software can deliver great results in small and medium-sized businesses.

We use Box to store all of our files and help manage our pursuits. The collaborative properties make it easy to share information and keep everyone on the same page.

Box Drive is clunky.
Functionality with Microsoft Excel.

Likelihood to Recommend

Box is great for sharing files and information quickly. Sending links in Box is quicker than sending attachments via email and doesn't fill up your inbox quickly. Box makes it easy for everyone to have quick access to the latest information. I recommend using the same file name and utilizing Box's version control features to cut down on info-glut.

I use Box to share documents with teammates and to backup data. It is very useful for backing up data and making remote collaboration easier without worrying about complex configuration or setup. Box also makes it easier for us to share data with external teammates and gives us peace of mind with its security controls.

I would definitely suggest Box for large enterprises and startups were non-technical and technical coworkers need to share files and collaborate remotely. Box isn't the best for sharing sensitive files or files that need strict version control. Overall, Box offers better pricing options than Dropbox and is easier to use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

All students in our university are provided with the facility to use Box. Students are encouraged to store their research material and other stuff on it since it's easily accessible and has unlimited storage.

Pros

Unlimited storage
Easy synchronization of files to your computer
The interface is pretty straight forward and anyone can use it easily.
The files are stored properly and can be shared very easily for collaboration between users.

Cons

There is a file size limitation on box. If a particular file exceeds a given size, box wont be able to sync the file from your computer on to their cloud server.
The interface should provide the facility to do selective syncing of files from the computer.

Likelihood to Recommend

Box is well suited for syncing any type of files stored on your computer. It is good for creating backups for your data which can be accessed anywhere. The software has apps for the pc and mobile phones which lets you access files on the go. The only issue is that there is a file size limitation and the software won't let you sync your files from the computer if they exceed a size set by the software.

Box makes collaboration seamless! With the current landscape, it's important to collaborate efficiently and Box allows teams to do just that! Overall, pleased with the software. I also like that the software offers all of the document formats that I work on and look for. I also like that there's a notifications feature that lets me know which updates have been made.

Pros

Ease of sharing: Extremely important when multiple people/departments are working on the same project.
Saves hard drive space by housing files in the cloud.
Getting the link to share files instantly in a single click.

Cons

Editing Excel words directly through the web-based app.
No training available.
Mobile app is horrible.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's a very intuitive product. I am sure there are lots of features and functions that I am still not aware of, but the service has been easy enough to learn as I go without needing to be sent for extensive training in order to understand how to get started.
