We used to use a number of custom BI solutions in our sales department. That was a painful scenario, with lots of accesses to different data, ugly interfaces and data visualisations, every now and then it would have just not worked at all due to some disruption of service. Now, with Board, all of that is a thing of the past.

The Board BI tool provides all the information about the needs of the company, which includes predictive analytics and data manipulation to make different types of reports that can be of great help for the company when making proactive decisions. Customer support is excellent; the support representative on site was very knowledgeable and had no difficulty integrating with our database. It has a great capacity to process large unstructured data files from internal/ external sources. Data can be manipulated in various ways to produce different types of powerful reports. The user-friendly interface made the visualization easy to create. The import of Masterdata from ERP was constant and seamless.

Productivity is improved because we are spending less time collating data and more time reviewing it. Board, we cannot delete entities. We have to go through a major expansion and restructure, so we have all these dead entities we are stuck with.

Board is a cloud-based financial planning software suitable for growing companies that deal with retail customers. It can help any business plan its budget most effectively on the basis of its historical data. It also offers benchmark data and trends you can rely on to make product roadmaps and sales plans. It may not be suitable for small startups and organizations due to expensive licensing and a steep learning curve.
The tool has been enormously used to maximize key functionalities by the Sales and Human Resource team to automate sales processes mostly involving Salesforce application working on both Hiring and Compensation team to balance the talent team with the right package to be provided at the same time sticking with company's compensation mantras and helping the Recruiting partners and other 3P employees to not worry about sales quotas. We were able to reduce our dependency on compensation planning as the tool does analytics and drive output on without losing the right candidates.

Board does the job well and behaves like a funnel that converts raw and complex data to beautiful, meaningful, and actionable reports. Ever since our purchase, it has been a major player in the growth of our business.
Less Appropriate: I really can't think of a situation where I would not recommend Board to a business that wants to thrive, but as I've mentioned in the dislikes, the cost is a bit high, and that could be a dealbreaker for startups and small companies.

Sales forecasting is a very complicated process that requires precision and accuracy. Board is significant in catering to providing business intelligence in this regard. There are instances in which the changes in a single formula results in a massive mess. The formula feature could be improved to a greater level.
