Use AWS Services Efficiently with AWS Cost Optimizer
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use AWS Compute Optimizer in our AWS department mostly for AWS compute resource deployment. It suggests the best use of our resources and tries to reduce cost as much as possible. It improves the scalability and reduces our efforts in trying to understand what resource or resources are not working as expected or identifies which resource is currently not in use.

Cons
- Although it works great for AWS services but they should give a third party cost add option
- Many features only work when there is large data available
- sometime suggestions are not relevant to business problem we address
