I use Atlassian Loom ALL day to communicate with clients and employees, explaining processes, features, best practices etc. I am able to address concerns and walk people through questions visually using Atlassian Loom. I am also able to cut down the number of meetings I have on a daily basis while still maintaining a personal touch with clients and my team.
Pros
Screen Recordings
AI
Editing
Background noise blocker
Cons
Logging in can sometimes be annoying, doesn't remember me
Will sometimes freeze
Would love to have files for my videos or attach them to clients

Atlassian Loom is great for communication. I am able to cut down the number of meetings I do while still providing step by step direction to my team and clients.
Loom is a great tool to provide specifics in any communication while still keeping it asynchronous. We are a remote company and we believe time is valuable Loom is a great solution that falls in the middle of written vs live meetings. It allows us to provide details, share screens, and leave a record of the information so people can go back on their own time. Loom really became a key tool in our day to day
Pros
Asynchronous communications that work
Documenting processes
Providing details without the need to go on meetings.
Cons
Loom can definitely join the AI trend and evolve the system to do other things and support businesses.
Loom can improve service quality, it happens sometimes that we record videos and these do not work or don't move past the processing phase.
Better storage and user experience when navigating previous videos. we rarely use it and i think they can do more with it. Like building company spaces or something.

Loom is a must, I am not sure how many other tools like this one there are but Loom really becomes a key player in a team collaboration, specially if that team collaborates remotely or internationally. You can use the video links to embedded these in other places or downloadthem for editing.
I am a Senior Sales Rep for a boutique higher ed publisher. I use Loom to educate prospects and clients, as well as sell to them. I create general videos for use in campaigns or just as helpful "info" links. I create personal looms to answer specific questions professors ask, do demos and basically conduct sales business when a prospect either can't meet or I'm trying to re-engage interest. I also use Loom internally on occasion to support some of my leadership responsibilities within the sales team, ie showing the raffle winner for a participation meeting or showing another rep how to do something.
Pros
Recording is easy and seamless
I haven't had to edit much, but when I do, it's very simple
Access is easy
Embedding the video in email is really easy (increases opens)
Cons
Reporting - I'd like to be able to catch the email address where they clicked from so I could see specifics of who was watching videos (in the case of my general ones)
Likelihood to Recommend
I do recommend Loom to colleagues. I have found it immensely helpful in providing simple ways for clients (in my case, mostly professors) to get the information they need from me. Loom is great for 'Show and Tell' type connection needs. I use it in selling, but not as much as in education. I think I need to learn more of the functionalities and options in order to speak well to that point, but it has been great for demos and connecting with professors I always seem to 'miss'.

Our organization currently uses Loom to generate marketing materials, customer tutorials, and internal communication that does not necessitate a meeting or is better executed asynchronously. It fits a niche for us but does so incredibly well. In the past, I have also used Loom as part of a coaching program to teach specific lessons and provide re-watchable resources for students, and to facilitate a more intuitive onboarding process for incoming clients.
Pros
Easy to learn and teach new users.
Intuitive UI for accessing correct video and audio devices.
Easy video link sharing options.
Cons
Organization on the backend can be finicky if you're part of a organization account.
Likelihood to Recommend
Best suited for asynchronous communication. Also, best for communicating more technical topics that require walkthroughs of systems via screen sharing.
I use Loom for reach outs often. Having a tool to quickly record a screen and a video of myself to create a personalized message for my prospects has increased my connection rate significantly. I also use Loom to send internal updates to my team and see other teams doing the same thing. The Loom extension is also great for quickly starting a video without thinking twice.
Pros
Ease of use, just click start and the screen you'd like to record and its ready.
Easy to send, there are a variety of formats available to send the video in that are easily accessible.
Video quality is great, audio quality too!
Cons
Self-recording options- I'm not able to blur my background with Loom
Likelihood to Recommend
I think Loom is well suited for anyone that wants to create quick videos to really connect with a person or prospect they would like to communicate with. It's such an easy way to add an extra level of attention to anything you would like to share with someone else. I also love getting looms from other people, it makes me feel a sense of connection with the sender I just don't get via email or IM.

We use Loom to simplify some communication with our clients and our internal and external teams. Any feedback, bug, issue, etc. we need to communicate to our stakeholders, which needs a lot of written text or other formatted media, is done using videos with talk-throughs via Loom. We also use Loom to provide video guides to our clients to navigate any tool or product.
Pros
They have various integrations and apps, so using it on any platform is easy.
They have an easy recording feature - so we don't need training to use Loom.
Editing the video once it's made is suer easy on their backend tool - so we don't need to get the video completely right while recording.
Their folder system makes it easy to organize videos.
Cons
The transcripts feature isn't accurate and captures incorrect words.

Any communication that needs to be executed can be done via Loom. Loom simplifies communication by providing video and audio inputs, which minimizes the amount of time it takes to communicate something and reduces any potential misunderstandings for us.
We use Loom quite extensively in our day to day operations - 1. We have Software for which bugs, feature explanations, and design walkthroughs for our internal team are communicated through Loom videos. 2. We also service clients' development requirements, for which we use Loom to communicate development feedback and bugs using Loom. 3. We also teach the service clients how to use certain tools/elements online, which we use Loom to document. 4. We have recently started using Loom for product walk-throughs as well.
Loom helps us provide video screen capture of workflows or issues in the product for both QA and current users/customers of our product. The shareable link it creates provides easy access along with microphone capture to aid in live commentary for these screen captures.
Pros
Accessibility.
Ease of Use.
Cons
The free Version maxes out at 198 Recordings.

I use Loom almost daily for internal communications with my team, and for external communications with a customer to add that extra mile customer service and delight. Video and Audio can create a ton of clarity for the viewer on the exact steps to replicate a bug or to accomplish a detailed workflow. It saves me time from writing out large emails, and is a more enjoyable medium for digesting that information anyways.
We use Loom for so many things! The support team uses it to give customers visuals on workflows and best practices for using our product. It's a game changer, and customers love the personal touch and visual that Loom has empowered our team with. We can also document issues found in our product to then pass along to the Quality Assurance team.
Pros
Browser recording.
Video rendering/processing quickly, to be able to share with others.
Storage of videos.
Cons
Loom has improved and implemented a lot of features since I came onboard. Folders for videos was a huge improvement, as well as trimming.
The trimming tool is a little clunky and could use some updates on precision and speed.
I'd love to be able to do more meticulous editing and separate audio from video.
Likelihood to Recommend
Loom is best suited for browser and desktop recording. While it's not a robust video editing solution like something you'd find out of the Adobe suite, it's perfect for those who need a quick way to share their browsing and desktop experience. Loom is a game changer for sharing visuals with internal folks and external customers.

We use Loom primarily use loom for making quick videos to send internally to troubleshoot or share aspects of our platform. We've also used Loom as a sales team to make quick videos to send to clients -- for example, meeting recaps, short demos of a specific feature/functionality, etc.
Pros
A super easy way to do a screen recording and share via link
Lots of functionality around camera/mic source and video sources (e.g. screen only, screen + cam, cam only)
Ability to track views and opens of the video
Freemium version is great -- highly cost-effective
Cons
It would be nice to have more ability to edit videos after recording. You do have the ability to trim on both ends of the video, but being able to cut out snippets in the middle would be helpful in some instances.
Likelihood to Recommend
Here are some scenarios where Loom is well suited:
Recording bugs to troubleshoot SaaS products
Recording short how-to videos for either internal use or client success
Shooting quick, customized demo videos for clients
I can imagine Loom would be less appropriate if you're looking for a dedicated video repository (e.g. Wistia, Vimeo, etc.)

Manager in Sales (Computer Software company, 11-50 employees)
Loom is used across our entire organization to record informational and instructional videos for both internal use and customer support. Internally Loom is used for recording product and process training. Loom videos are interspersed in training materials and make nuanced processes crystal clear. Additionally, we are able to record videos to assist our customers through tasks and solutions that would otherwise be difficult to describe over text or phone alone.
Pros
Easy to use interface.
Cloud platform is handy.
Screen captures are clear and high quality.
Cons
Honestly haven't run into any pressing issues. Satisfied!
Likelihood to Recommend
Loom is ideal for situations where a screen recording is necessary or would be extremely helpful to convey complex or nuanced information. The ability to simultaneously record webcam video is a very welcome feature. Adding accompanying webcam video can add a personal touch to screen recordings. The cloud-based storage ensures that videos can be easily disseminated to the entire organization quickly and easily.
