Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used the AppSheet as a means to simplify process operation I am assigned with. Currently, one process that I am involved is having to use emails and printed documents for filling up and signatories. Through AppSheet, not only I have translated this process into an app, but also developed it in such a way that it saves time and resources and simplified the monitoring of the particular task.

Pros

Better Monitoring
Easy to create and start an app
Translates manual tasks into automated bots

Cons

Maybe we can use the automated email on bots for free :P

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very helpful in automating and digitizing processes that are physical document heavy because it takes a lot of time for physical documents to circulate around. I have not yet seen the full potential of AppSheet, so I still can't comment on what scenarios or projects in which it is less appropriate.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I started using Appsheet 02 years ago. Basically, I developed a customized application within this platform that allows me to record the activities and information corresponding to the company in which I am currently working.

In short, the application is responsible for:
Registering users and their personal and professional characteristics.
Defining physical zones of the workplace (in this case, a floating dry dock).
Defining the departments that the company has to carry out the different tasks related to keeping the workplace operational (in this case, a floating dry dock).
Defining the systems that make up the workplace and allow its different activities (electrical, mechanical, lifting, anchoring, etc., etc.).
Logbook that allows each employee to update their personal information from their cell phone, record their daily tasks and send a report to their supervisors.
Report creation.
Inventory registration in warehouses.
Presentation of documents to the staff that works within the facilities.
Record of the work carried out for the different clients (In this case, maintenance work on ships).
And many more activities.

Pros

Trustworthy
Easy to use.
Adaptable

Cons

More display options in the presentation to the end user of the apps.
It should be possible, to generate a standard app that can be sold massively in white.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suitable for database work. Access controller for personnel, products, sales, distribution, etc. Not suitable for applications that require visual and graphic demands. There are graphically interactive applications that have buttons or action gestures that are not common. It should be possible, to create the App. Remove information relevant to the specific company or business for which the App was generated. And then be able to share it with other similar businesses independently.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, I'm using it for employee check-in & check-out log. But I hope to be able to use it for stock inventory and activities detail log as well.

Pros

Easy for tracking.
Simple and easy.
More systematic.
The price is reasonable.
Custom system can be created.
Sample templates.

Cons

When errors occur, please give a simple guide to solve the issue.
Provide cloud storage.
Full testing function in the free version, otherwise not able to test it completely.
Make more samples to show the functionality.

AppSheet is simple.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently it is being used on a project within the ITS&E, Civil/Electrical and Signs disciplines to assist with construction and completions.

Pros

Visualisation of fixed assets.
Rapid development.
Extremely stable platform.
Free prototyping.

Cons

Development of document reports.
Direct connection to SharePoint Lists.
Better control of how forms and lists look (cosmetic).

Likelihood to Recommend

Map visualisation of fixed assets is brilliant and especially the ability to geotag new and existing records.
Formatting of map pins and text/labels to traffic light status.
Not so great for dashboard reporting but it can be done to a degree.
It works great for what we need although a multi image field would be good. Currently it is only single image fields.
Expanding on the KML file capability to allow more complex shapes would also be useful.

AppSheet is well suited for simple surveys in various settings and even public surveys.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am currently setting up an app using AppSheet to replace our manual field service check sheets. This should reduce the amount of time and effort it takes to complete inspection and make it more useful than working with paper forms in a dirty and wet environment.

Pros

Easy to setup and use.
Listens to the users' feedback and when possible they make the updates suggested.

Cons

Because AppSheet is continuously making improvements, the documentation doesn't always keep up with the changes.
The support is difficult to navigate since the G+ community doesn't have titles on posts and they are strictly in chronological order, it can be hard to find the answers you are looking for.

Likelihood to Recommend

Any kind of field entry/inspection process seems to be well suited for the application. Situations for which you want customer feedback may not be cost effective due to the high number of users that would result.
