Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using it to manage all kinds of internal assets. We are currently using about 8 different apps, and with each app, we learn a little more, so each time they are more useful. Making all employees be on the same page is sometimes difficult, but when you turn a sheet into an app, using and following up on data is easy and really powerful. The same app passes through different states for each user, making it easy to keep track of everything.

Pros

No code programming is really easy. With time you get better and better.
Making an app is better than accessing a sheet. You can have user levels and a lot of control over processes.
Simple and useful UX. Sometimes we wish to generate some more designed spaces, but really, it just works.

Cons

Adding some more design personalization.
I found that some things were missing, specifically time and my learning curve, so I couldn't add anything else to improve.
There should be some online free course by Appsheet.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need to manage special assets with unique characteristics and keep data in spreadsheets, Appsheet is ideal for replacing these sheets with a system. Once you start using it, you find yourself trying to move everything into Appsheet. It is perfect for generating internal software that would otherwise never be developed due to programming costs.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use AppSheet to capture data that falls off the grid and build new products that can be offered to customers. AppSheet is being used to capture, measure and manage data that is not currently recorded by our enterprise resource planning solution. What's even better is that the data is easily made available to our users in a very secure way and can also be visualized by other applications such as Looker. AppSheet facilitates Rapid Architected Application Development, which in turn gives the orginzation the ability to respond to changes in the environment and build new products. This is especially true in the areas of property management, logistics management and talent management.

Pros

Capture data in real time via a mobile device
Share data in a very secure manner
An open architecture that allows the integration of other applications
Audit usage of any newly built application
Ease of access, device independent.

Cons

Voice assistant has to start working so that users can talk instead of type
Allow generative AI to train on the data captured by AppSheet so that new insights can be quickly delivered to decision makers
Integrate AppSheet into established dashboard applications so that it's one seemless product.

Likelihood to Recommend

Any property management business based requirement is easily met with AppSheet.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With only 1 year experience of using AppSheet in my daily ERP need of managing the business I'm totally in love this platform: easy to create and use, a bit more complex in terms of more advance UX or data display's need - but with our current modest SME operating module, AppSheet delivers great results (especially with their latest move offering it free for Google Workspace Users).

Cons

Video Display
Calendar Display can be more clear / detail

Suitable:
- SME, moderate team.
- Lots of field works.
- High turn over rate.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have primarily used AppSheet for collecting data from the field using forms. Two of our student interns created an equipment survey form with over 20 fields (columns) and collected data from over 4000 pieces of equipment. AppSheet solved our business problem of creating dependent dropdown options in forms and made collecting, processing, and managing data easier. We have already identified 3 more use cases for AppSheets in different on-site and data processing applications, and hope to use them extensively going forward, perhaps with an organizational-wide audience!

Cons

Allow creation of image link automatically in Drive

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are developing various rapid prototypes and variants for a planned mobile app.

Pros

I can keep my test data in Google Spreadsheets.
AppSheet does a good job creating a first "raw" skeleton of a prototype app.
If you name your data fields in a good way, AppSheet will correctly guess many of your intentions and create some basic infrastructure and artifacts that will save you time.
AppSheet has enough configuration capabilities to turn a prototype into an "alpha version" of an app that you can use for demos to colleagues etc.

Cons

AppSheet primarily assumes data are in RDBMS/SQL systems, but it should be technically possible and certainly desirable to keep data in a hybrid data store, e.g. GOOGLE FIREBASE collections, if/when these are modeled similar to RDBMS tables. (Maybe this is already possible, but it was not obvious to me.)
The views, esp. "deck" and "card" views, should offer more layout configurations.
It would help a lot if the "Data" and "UX" menu items would allow a tree-like grouping of the objects.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suited: Rapid prototyping of hybrid mobile apps that are primarily data apps. Less suited: Apps that must be sophisticated in layouts and visuals from day 1.

I currently develop Covid19 related applications to assist with the response to the spread of the virus. My team uses the apps to report on Covid19 activities, especially in public schools and public transport.

Pros

Allowing me to have a working app in minutes
Assistance with difficult items on the forums
ability to download my data easily through google drive

Cons

The back office reporting, things like creation of dashboards for specific users

If you are using any other license that is not enterprise, it's not suitable for sensitive data, as you can use your secure organization's infrastructure to store the data

When I started the license was upto 10 users, where we find difficult to implement the L&D with limited license. Have not yet deployed the app, need to do now to check how it works

Best about Appshet whose those who don't have technical background can also be able to create a workflow from Excel data or Salesforce Data or any API request from the server just click away. It is used across CMT, Insurance portfolios. The mundane and repetitive tasks with pre-defined rules achieves the process.

I have implemented Appsheet to improve my consulting service with clients, also for internal project management, financial administration and I [are] developing custom systems to improve the management of our clients.

It allows us the customization and automation of all the tools that we already use in Google Workspace, so that improvement has allowed us to obtain a great rest of the capacity to continue growing, we seek to be a digital native company, which allows the inclusion of other generations to the use of technology to increase the impact of their ventures.

Appsheet is a great evolution in creating personal productivity and management tools for us!

Pros

Creation of Applications for Financial Management.
Creation of productivity person APP.
Creation of APP for project management.

Cons

Although there is a lot of study material, it takes time to understand the full potential of the Appsheet.
Although all the material [are] in English, it is possible to access translations or learn in the forums and in an intuitive way.
The simplest apps can be created with the free version, for more complex functions or to achieve certain distributions, a license must be paid per user.
