Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Applied Rater in our personal lines department to provide home insurance quotes. The system enables us to shop many carriers quickly. We save time "ballparking" the price.

Pros

Geocodes the address
Auto Save Feature
Integrates with our customer management system
Sales pipeline on the dashboard prompts to follow up on unsold quotes.

Cons

Instant rates for DP
Option for proof of prior auto insurance to include PIP/PD only
Show all my carriers

Likelihood to Recommend

Quoting or ballparking an HO3 risk can be done very quickly with minimal input and the system has an excellent system for quote presentations and unsold quote follow up reminder.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We've used Applied Rater going on 7 years now and find it to be the easiest and fastest rater out there. We have tried other raters and by far Applied Rater is the quickest and one of the most accurate. The entire staff of agents and customer service reps uses the software

Ease of use
Accurate quote results
Speed of quote returns

Cons

Too many timed outs
Ever since it was sold to Applied the support hasn't been as good
Need more management systems available to export to

Likelihood to Recommend

Applied Rater is well suited for any insurance agency that needs a quick rater for homeowner and auto insurance. There is no support for dwelling quotes (DP3 or DP1, condo quotes (HO6) or renters insurance (HO4). There is no support for commercial insurance as well which isn't as important in my estimation
