Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Applied Epic is or Agency Management System(AMS). We use it for our production, and general ledger system. It gives us great reports to analyze our data and gauge our performance. Our client managers use it to help us manage our clients insurance needs. Applied Epic is very robust with many add ons.

Pros

  • Customizable reports
  • Stores tons of data
  • The Applied Epic support team is 2nd to none.

Cons

  • working with some 3rd party vendors.
  • Would like some more customization.

Return on Investment

  • It is light years ahead of TAM which we upgraded from. When talking to our peers I feel we don't run into the same issues/challenges as them with other AMS's.

Pros

  • Very thorough collection of information allows for accounts to be qualified properly
  • Notification of upcoming tasks keeps everyone on track with renewals of policies
  • Attachment capabilities allow for items to be filtered per policy type to allow for faster searching

Cons

  • Some of the questions in the applications are repetitive.
  • The manual is not especially user-friendly - our agency is working on a new one for easier navigation.
  • Better integration with our other software programs would be beneficial to our agency.

  • Contacts cannot be copied into other companies
  • Cannot make adjustments to disbursements once started
