TrustRadius Insights for Amplitude Analytics are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, third party data sources.
Pros
Well-designed Dashboard: Users have praised the well-designed and visually appealing dashboard of Amplitude Analytics. It is evident that multiple reviewers have found the interface to be user-friendly, with intuitive navigation and customizable charts.
Comprehensive Feature Analytics: Several users have mentioned that the feature analytics provided by Amplitude Analytics are comprehensive and valuable for analyzing product usage. Reviewers appreciate being able to measure frequency of usage, track user behaviors, and identify areas for improvement through insights into actions that drive certain user behaviors in funnels.
Versatile Functionality: Many reviewers have highlighted the wide range of functionality offered by Amplitude Analytics, making it a versatile tool for analyzing both products and user journeys. The ability to filter charts based on specific date ranges allows for focused analysis, while multi-user and multi-dashboard view options facilitate collaboration across teams.
Amplitude has been my organization's primary solution to the challenge of gathering insights about our customers that can inform our product strategy. Our key priority is to know our customers better at all stages of their engagement, and Amplitude provides the data we need to drive good product decisions. We've currently implemented over 50 events mapped to core site experiences and pathways that we want to gather data on, to assess if those product areas are meeting their KPIs.
Pros
Self-serve, actionable analytics on in-product customer behavior delivered quickly
Deep exploration of customer behavior data with multiple segmentation options, funnels, etc
Scalable & built for team adoption
Allows data governance by product & non-technical users
Cons
Some offerings seem duplicative, like dashboards and notebooks, which only seem to differ in that one can subscribe to dashboards
The messaging on valid vs invalid property types could be better explained to clarify which types (string, Boolean, integer, etc) are expected in particular scenarios. Though the type is usually set during event creation, we've often seen examples where the data received in production is different, leading to 'invalid type' errors
Likelihood to Recommend
I would highly recommend Amplitude to people in the product and business analytics domains who have a need for deep, data-driven insights into customer behavior, accessible in a self-service platform. Amplitude stands out in its comprehensiveness and flexibility; once events are implemented, there are a multitude of options to combine, track, form journeys, and dive deeper into user behavior. Though the barrier for entry is a little bit steep, Amplitude is more friendly to non-technical users than other business insight platforms, without compromising the effectiveness of the analysis tools.
Amplitude may not be best suited for web marketing analytics - traffic, page views, etc - since it is more focused on full-platform product analytics.

One of our client works in "media campaigning" area. We wanted to do user segmentation and retention analysis for their media owners and users, that's where we used Amplitude Analytics tool in the projects.
Pros
Extraction of insights from data is really good
Visualisation dashboards are really good
User friendly tool
Cons
It’s really difficult to move data in and out of Amplitude
Sometimes amplitude can be overwhelming as it is packed with features, potentially can confuse non-analysts
Likelihood to Recommend
Strong tool for Real-time user analytics
Very good for tasks such as Event segmentation, user segmentation and retention analysis etc.

We are using Amplitude Analytics as one of our tools to produce analytics and insights internally. We are able to connect it to many different sources and produce nice charts that are used to take decisions furthermore. Of course, we have some other tools, and combined with Amplitude makes it possible to reach what we need.
Pros
Pretty Charts
Good free tier
Cons
It's not that flexible in my opinion.
It could be improved in terms of historical charts.
Likelihood to Recommend
Amplitude Analytics is good if you are not sure yet about which tool to use in your company, using their free tier you can check in advance if you can connect all data sources you need and produce the charts you expect. In general, is a good tool with more than enough features.

We use Amplitude Analytics for analytics on both our website analytics and product analytics.
Pros
Closed funnels
User flows
User segregation
Deep dive into specifics
Cons
Some more clarity and examples of implementation with GDPR in mind
Some segregation inside user properties can be difficult to implement
Splicing information inside funnels could be more intuitive
User support for the cheaper tiers is hard to access
Pricing transparency really needs to be improved
Likelihood to Recommend
All in all, it's a great analytics tool and really gives you much more detailed and granular information than Google Analytics. The interface is very similar to its greatest competitor, with a few noticeable improvements in the UX and UI. The free tier is perfect for a startup looking to try it and get insight before scaling to a bigger plan. The main issue I guess is that if you're working with the EU you need to get your legal team involved to make sure you're abiding by GDPR and have consent popups and whatnot which can be a bit time-consuming and annoying.

Amplitude helps us find hidden user patterns in terms of pain points or success. That way, it enables us to iterate and improve our product all the time, based on data. I like that Amplitude is building new features all the time when I need them. Their filter feature in the dashboard is one of the most important. When you're looking at a specific dashboard, you might want to see all that data for a particular user attribute (let's say only for users based in Brazil). We used to need to create different dashboards for different markets we operate in, now it's just one click away.
Pros
Drop-offed users' behaviors, their journey.
Overall property/date/... etc. filtering for all of the charts in a dashboard.
Cons
Could be great to have more third-party integrations, like with Insider, since we use it as a user activation tool. It'd be so easy to observe the drop-offs from our Amplitude user funnel dashboards and then set up some communications/push notifications, etc., according to that data.
Likelihood to Recommend
It helps us to find the pain points of a user based on data. If we are working on a new solution to solve this problem, Amplitude helps us to find answers and hypotheses.
We use Amplitude Analytics across the product development organization for all manner of product analytics needs--from measuring usage and engagement to tracking KPIs to monitoring the launch of new features and experiments, to deeper cohort and other growth & engagement analyses.
Pros
Intuitive UI
Easy implementation with a CDP like Segment
Powerful dimensions and visualizations for analyses
Cons
Learning curve for more powerful features
No built-in A/B testing
Large gap between free and paid plans; a cheaper introductory plan would be great
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for directional product analytics and event/usage-based KPI tracking. Not reliable as source of truth for financial planning and analysis.

With this platform I can carry out a complete analysis of the users and the impact of each new function that is added to our product. Ampitude Analytics provides me with a broader view to see in detail everything that happens with respect to the analytics of the product I am currently working on. I can understand the behavior of users within my product and thus be able to have better decision-making when making a change for the improvement. Thanks to this platform I can take the course of the direction of a product thus being able to drive it to better growth by adding new functions to the product.
Pros
I like that it can have a CSV type export in order to have the most organized and personalized data collection.
I can track certain types of users, this helps me to classify them in order to add better functions to the product according to each individual who uses the product.
I like its interface and most of all the timeline section, where I can see the changes that have been made and how it has improved, this with the aim of having better ideas when implementing new things.
Cons
It should be noted that its interface is very easy to use but when it comes to organizing events in an orderly manner, it is a bit chaotic. Also they should resize a bit to fit everything when I want to sort my chart.
The database function and its updating tends to be a bit slow, I would like it to be more in real time in order to work faster.
Likelihood to Recommend
I really recommend it for small business or startup as it contains many functions and collects a lot of data that helps to boost a product of your company since you can look for strengths and repower them, as well as improve the weak points of your product. It's very easy to use and integrate if you don't have a lot of knowledge in the area, so it won't be much of a problem to keep up with your product developments.
It is basically used in our app to log the events for user activity. Activity varies from user-paths or to track retention over a period etc. It is used across the organization to make important decisions. One important use case is doing A/B testing. It provides a super useful analytics platform for people who don't even have coding skills.
Pros
A/B test results and comparison
Graphical representation of data
Cons
Download the CSV option (what columns to download can be specified)
Speed of the platform
Likelihood to Recommend
Amplitude Analytics provides a super useful analytics platform for people who don't even have coding skills. You can do a whole bunch of analysis like tracking user-paths, doing A/B testing, tracking live users, user retention, etc. to name a few. It is very easy to integrate with mobile/web apps through simple http calls. We found it very useful and hassle free.
Amplitude is used heavily by both our product teams and our marketing teams at HubSpot but the rest of the business uses it as well. We use it to provide product-specific metrics for things such as sign-up to product usage. It is a great tool for understanding how different cohorts of users are interacting with your products and what certain factors influence those product metrics like usage and retention.
Pros
Charts - I love the charting elements from Amplitude because they are simple and intuitive.
Ease of use - It has the ability to run complex SQL queries but more importantly the average marketer can use it and get the information they need without needing to have any technical work done.
Cohorts - These make segmenting data easy and this is key in the analysis.
Cons
Cohorts - While they are great, importing cohorts for us has been a pain because we need to convert to AmplitudeID's a lot of the time.
Knowing your event schema is critical to getting the most out of Amplitude. While not necessarily Amplitude's fault it can be a big hinderance.
They have dashboards but the dashboard functionality is limited.
Likelihood to Recommend
Amplitude is great for doing individual-based metrics and analytics. It is great for determining where the majority of your sign-ups for a product are coming from or figuring out where the dropoff would be for users going through a certification. We don't use it for our business metrics like MRR or Customer Dollar Retention because it doesn't do as good a job of connecting group/portal/company data.

I manage our Support team and we use Amplitude to track user actions within our app. For example, if a client reaches out saying a user was deleted from their account, we have the ability to track down who deleted this user to provide them with detailed information. Amplitude is owned and managed by our Development team, but used by Support.
Pros
Customize which actions you need visibility into for your product
Allows you to export the data into a clean report
Saves data so you can backtrack to investigate user actions in previous years
Cons
Training my team on Amplitude is a little complicated, so I would say it isn't the most intuitive software. Certain actions require hovering over buttons in order for the options to appear which can cause confusion when initially learning how to navigate Amplitude.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you need to track user paths to make internal decisions or have clients reaching out needing information on how their staff is using your product then Amplitude is a good fit. Our Amplitude instance is set up to gain visibility into log-ins and specific edits within our platform. It helps our team quickly resolve Support issues and feel confident in the data.
