Amazon Pay can be used almost everywhere

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Amazon Pay is one of the safest and most secure Payment Gateway offered by Amazon. It is easy to set up an Amazon Pay Wallet or Amazon UPI(Unified Payment Interface) Account. The best thing about Amazon Pay is that it works at almost every online/offline store which accepts online payments for any type of Purchase. It provides fast and secure transactions, and we can also scan any QR code to perform online amount transactions directly through our bank account linked with Amazon Pay. As a FrontEnd Developer, I focus more on User Interface and User Experience. UI of Amazon Pay is brilliant, one can easily navigate to any account-related information, balance history, transactions history, and many more. If you purchase any product from Amazon you are provided with additional benefits like Cashbacks, Rewards, and Gift Cards also you can pay your order amount in simple no-cost EMIs.

Pros

  • Simple and Great User Interface
  • No payment decline issues and Faster Transactions
  • Rewards, Cashback for every transaction
  • Safe and Secure

Cons

  • Amazon Pay balance to bank account transfer.
  • Make more lightweight app particularly for Amazon Pay.
  • Unable to scan some QR codes.

Likelihood to Recommend

I use Amazon Pay as my Primary Payment Gateway to transfer money to my friends/relatives. I use it for Paying Bills(Electricity, Wifi, Mobile/DTH recharge). I also use to accept payments from local clients and organizations. It works well and I have very little or no issues till now for any type of transaction. It is more reliable and comparatively fast than other payment applications.

Great Tool for Customers

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Recently added this as a payment option on our Shopify Plus storefront. We've seen an improvement in mobile conversion rate as a result. We noticed most mobile users dropping off during the checkout period due to the overload of information to full in. Seeing the easy checkout options has put their mind at ease and we've heard from customers that using the Amazon Pay checkout brings an additional layer of trust.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Simple Integration
  • Increased Coversions

Cons

  • No account management
  • No room to discuss terms
  • More facetime with people on the team for optimization

Likelihood to Recommend

1. We have a strong brand presence in the whole sale world - being in large department stores and on the Amazon store. Being a trusted brand working with another trusted brand (Amazon) has been a big help.
2. This doesn't conflict with our Amazon store. Big help.
3. Great improvement for a faster checkout experience along with mobile conversion increases.

LOVE This As A Consumer.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Amazon Pay as a consumer and found it incredibly easy to use. Any website that has linked up with Amazon Pay has made it much easier to move forward with a purchase by connecting to your Amazon account and allowing you to seamlessly choose your account preferences already entered into Amazon. No more grabbing your wallet or trying to remember your payment details. Simply allow the connection and everything you need to complete your order is already there. And if you have Prime, it'll take this into account as well, hence, giving you the free shipping perk.

Pros

  • Connects your purchasing options to Amazon.
  • Eliminates the need to enter your payment into another new site.
  • Connects your Amazon account details for a quick and easy transaction.
  • Allows you to take advantage of Prime with sites that are connected to Amazon Pay.

Cons

  • I honestly haven't found anything that needs improvement so far.

Likelihood to Recommend

I find it's extremely easy to use Amazon Pay, at least as a consumer. If you have an active Amazon account, and if you have Prime, your features (free shipping) are already connected and ready to use. The advantages are that you don't have to enter new payment info into another new e-commerce site and your Amazon Prime shipping advantages are already built into your options. At least, this has been the case for me the few times I've used it so far - on a couple of different online stores. I also had to cancel an item and the reimbursement went through quickly and easily as well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Amazon Pay with personal purchases in the past. It is a great tool to use if you already have an Amazon account and want a single sign on with your Amazon information. We no longer use Amazon Pay in my business situation, but used it in the past and were happy with it. Amazon Pay for Business is very useful to increase sales by providing the customer with my ways to check out.

Pros

  • Optimizing checkout speed.
  • The ability to use one account.
  • Great savings when using it.

Cons

  • Not accepted by all non-Amazon affiliated merchants.
  • Not the best mobile app.

Likelihood to Recommend

Amazon Pay is well suited in any situation where the user may have an Amazon account. It gives them another option to checkout quickly without having to put in all of their information. It has trustworthy security and very useful from a customer perspective who trusts Amazon.

Amazon Pay is a Must for Checkout Options!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Amazon Pay on a few different websites that we run and it is fantastic. The integration was very clean and easy for us because of the web platform that we use (Shopify Plus). With so many people using and loving Amazon, adding in the one-click checkout option with Amazon Pay makes conversion rates better and makes for a much better checkout process. Since we implemented it, we have heard from several customers that appreciate it as an option. It has been really good for us.

Pros

  • Simple implementation for Shopify Plus users.
  • Nice jump in conversion rate from the time that we launched it.

Cons

  • We have not found any issues or areas that we find lacking.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think that any place that you can add in Amazon Pay as a business, you should. The real impact of Amazon Pay is hard to measure, but we know that conversion rates go up and customers appreciate the simple option at checkout. If you think about how huge Amazon really is, it is staggering not to use them in any and every way possible. Almost 50% of all internet transactions occur on Amazon so think about how many people already have checkout details and information saved with Amazon. And the fact that they can use all of those details on your checkout with the click of 1 button, it is a no brainer. Personally, I hate shopping anywhere but Amazon and will always check there first just for ease of operations. So if a site gives me the option to checkout through my Amazon details, I'm 1000x more likely to buy from them. And also, by adding it to your site you are getting the credibility that comes from having the Amazon logo on your checkout page. That is good for your business!

A great payment option for your e-commerce website

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Amazon Pay is used as a supplemental payment platform for my business. We added it after a few of our customers demanded it as an alternative to PayPal and our main payment merchant and has been very smooth and hassle-free to use.

Pros

  • We are using the BigCommerce platform, and to set-up Amazon pay I literally had to add it to our Amazon seller central account then our BigCommerce account and that was it. Extremely simple set-up process.
  • When implemented, Amazon pays integrated with our Amazon Seller Central account so we didn't need to worry about having to keep another login on file and everything regarding Amazon Pay can be easily accessed from seller central.
  • The checkout with the Amazon button that is added is very useful for our e-commerce shop and the best thing that it provides is automatic inputting of our customers' data making the checkout process easier for them.
  • Great customer service that is timely and easy to get ahold of.

Cons

  • Amazon Pay's processing fees are a tad bit higher than PayPal and Braintree.
  • A curious thing that Amazon Pay should consider adding to third party e-commerce company websites is the ability to buy products using Amazon Gift Cards as well as credit cards.
  • Amazon Pay takes 2-3 business days for payments to clear which is longer than our other payment processors, an inconvenience for sure.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would recommend Amazon Pay to any colleague that has an e-commerce business. While we are not using Amazon Pay as just our dedicated payment processor, it makes for an excellent supplement to any business that values convenience for their customers and themselves. Amazon Pay is safe and very very easy to implement to any website through just a few clicks and I'm happy to report that we haven't had any major issues with them since implementation.
