We use Akamai Connected Cloud (Linode) for our Remote workers to access our internal infrastructure through a Wireguard node hosted on the cloud. Akamai Connected Cloud (Linode) are great and provide a very convenient and cost effective hosting solution to our issue. We are exploring other potential uses for the nodes and other projects in the cloud.

For the most part there isn't a service or hosting scenario that wouldnt be well suited for Akamai Connected Cloud (Linode). They have several cost effective solutions for a variety of needs. We are still exploring potential other cloud opportunities, but will more than likely go through Linode for all our future cloud/hosting needs in the future.
Linode makes some good arguments. The service and speed have consistently been good. Their willingness to hear me out and go the extra mile is much appreciated. Their business is top-notch since it is quick, cheap, user-friendly, and scalable. Our partners can trust Linode, thus I suggest them.
Pros
A wide variety of plans are available for selection.
Impressively, the customer service crew responds in a flash.
Immediate alerts delivered in the event of server spikes.
Cons
Data migration is often difficult.
New users will likely struggle to effectively utilize all capabilities.
Some settings are unclear without experience.

Because it can build up bespoke tech stacks, Linode is a cheaper option to rivals like cloud services. There are hardly no downtimes for this tool server because of its incredibly solid stability. Also Linode is a fantastic web host as their shared hosting plans are faster than competing companies. Plus, with Linode, you can find a package that suits your budget and needs with no effort at all.
We have been using Linode public cloud for various security experiments at the University of Waterloo SWAG lab. First, we assessed the benchmark of the cloud instances and scanned for default security mechanisms available in the public instance of Linode for research study purposes. We went on using Linode for processing our Kafka Stream events separately to determine its capacity and usage across our SWAG lab.
Pros
Default security updates
Efficient computing instances
Well defined admin panel to manage instances
Cons
Customer support
Estimate billing based on usages
S3 like bucket object

Linode is comparatively affordable to Azure and, GCP, AWS. For starters experiments, I would strongly suggest Linode as the best place to begin experimentation. Linode is very cost-effective for setting up custom tech stacks like LAMP or MEAN stack to deploy applications. Additionally, the documentation was really good for self-support users.
We utilize Linode's services to host multiple production and development level projects. These projects are used company wide. We host a corporate intranet resource and various custom portals for gathering and displaying information to our remote staff. We host multiple websites that run on the Laravel framework platform hosted by Apache and backed by MySQL databases.
Pros
Exceptional uptime and reliability.
Easy to use control panel.
Ability to install various operating systems, fully customizable to your own needs.
Kept informed about any upcoming hardware maintenance with the ability to adjust the maintenance window to better serve our needs.
Easy automated backups at the touch of a button.
Affordable, excellent prices and package options.
Cons
Bundled Longview monitoring service should have all features enabled for in-house servers.
Could use further customization options for access rights of sub-user accounts with access to the Linode control panel.

Linode has been an amazing host for us for many years. We had tried other affordable hosting options in the past, but nothing came close to offering the service or reliability of Linode at this price point. If you need a project hosted securely and reliably, look no further. The ability to spin up new servers in minutes makes development easy and reduces overhead costs. Their generous bandwidth and hardware allowances mean you can host production level services with heavy traffic far cheaper than alternative options.

We are currently using a Linode to host an Ignition instance. It is used by several controls engineers. We are able to avoid the expense of having hardware in our facility to maintain and cool and Linodes just work.
Pros
Uptime.
Network speed.
Number of available distros.
Cons
Can't think of anything.

If you need a server with excellent bandwidth and availability Linode is the way to go. I suppose that if someone needs a Windows deployment that there may be better options. However, there may be Windows deployments offered. I've just never used or looked for one.
We use it to serve some online applications. Port routing for internal services and serving informative content from our industry.
Pros
Low cost
Reliability
Ease to scale
Cons
Native cache service
Integrated firewall

Good for setup separate services and sharing data disks with each other. You can change the OS and keep the data safe for easy migration. Low price to hire more disk space
[Linode] is used by the Open Source development team for hosting Ningx, MySQL and PHP based web applications. Several websites have been publicly hosted.
Pros
Linode servers are easy to configure. It comes with a stable OS on which you can install exactly the services you need to install.
It is cheaper than other cloud VMs like AWS and Azure.
Performance of the VMs is good. You could host small apps on the smallest linode which costs $5 per month.
Cons
The blob storage should have pay for how much you use.
There should be a email service like there Simple Email Service in AWS
There should be option to scale down to save on costs in off seasons.
Likelihood to Recommend
[Linode] is well suited for developer who have OS knowledge, can install software, services and configure them on their own. It is not good for user who are not experienced in using the Linix CLI. Since there is not much UI to do such tasks. It does not have a UI for CI/CD
We use Linode across the organization to support multiple sites, in conjunction with a physical host provider that we use for our legacy sites. We also use Linode when we need to get something up and running quickly, like when we need to test upgrades before deploying to production. With a few clicks we can get a staging server up and running and began testing.
The admin panel is quite easy to use (we use Plesk on our physical host provider), and the documentation is excellent. Billing is also clear, with no hidden fees. They also have an analytics panel to view your bandwidth usage.
If there is one major issue I found, it's that when I clone a production site to set up a staging site, I noticed MariaDB always gets corrupted. This is an easy fix by backing up the /var/lib/MySQL directory and then uninstalling and re-installing MariaDB, but it's an annoyance. I haven't gotten to the bottom of why this continues to happen.
Pros
Easy to use.
Quick.
Clear billing and usage stats.
Cons
Cloning production sites (always causes MariaDB corruption, requiring a re-install).
Likelihood to Recommend
If you need to get a site up and running quickly, without wanting to deal with the hassle of setting up Linux from scratch, then Linode is the way to go.

Linode hosts the server infrastructure for our entire organization. We have a dozen server instances for a variety of purposes, from dedicated APIs to databases to various front-end web presences. Linode also hosts the majority of our DNS. Their flexibility with instances and cost ensure that we can spin up exactly the correct sized cloud instance for a small project, or throw a lot of resources for our high-availability needs.
Pros
Uptime for hosted servers
Ease of DNS hosting
Ease of load balancing implementation
Painless deployment process
Cons
We don't take advantage of their Kubernetes program. No real need.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want a fully hosted and supported solution like Heroku, Linode isn't for you. For someone with experience dealing with server deployment and management, Linode fits the bill. But you have to arrive with at least some proficiency in command line management if you want to user Linode to its fullest. Happily they have plenty of tutorials in their library to fill in the experience blanks for beginners.
